I honestly hold it in my opinion that the Pirates of the Caribbean theme is THE BEST theme suite of all time, capturing the elements of its franchise better than any other piece of music I've ever heard. On top of that that fact, its just an objectively enjoyable piece of music to listen to. You satisfy people who aren't as much into music with fast paced, suspenseful percussion, while also appealing to avid music lovers with symphonic rhythm, its the best of both worlds! Hans Zimmer is time and time again acclaimed for his composing prowess on iconic film soundtracks, but this is by far his most wide appealing and underrated piece.
Hard agree, even though I'm not into his score for On Stranger Tides and sometimes thematic usage gets a little funky, his score for all of these movies are incredible and doing these suites garnered a new appreciation for the score as a whole. And your comments really helped capture my thoughts perfectly, so thank you for that 🙏
I agree that it is up there among the top best soundtracks of all time, however I would argue that How to Train Your Dragon could easily rival this score.
Hey Azc0na i have a question when Jack died after the Kraken threw up yellow goo at Jack there in the background was a theme but I did not know who's it was if it was Wills and Elizabeth theme or Jacks or the main theme.
I know what your talking about Hello Beastie is what it's called but I honestly think it's Jack's theme bc when Davy Jones was looking through the scope you could hear Jack's theme but Azc0na did not put Hello Beastie in Jack's suit theme
