- I spent a week traveling around central Japan, and here are some things you can do in Nagano Prefecture in the winter!
In part 1 of my Japan winter series, I visited the beautiful mountains in Chino and Komagane city in Nagano.
The views at the top of Mt. Kurumayama and Senjojiki Cirque were breathtaking and best of all you can get to the top easily by a ski lift or cable car.
For those who want more of a workout, it's a great starting place to hike to the other mountains in the Japan alps!
Stay tuned for part 2 where I share with you what you can do around the city and a hidden gem in Nagano!

A big thank you to my patrons for supporting me and allowing me to keep on creating these videos!
See you next week for part 2!
P.S *Masks were taken off with permission during the filming parts only.
The filming of this video was also carried out by taking extra precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
I 100% assumed this was the case.
:)
For some reason RUclips never give me notification for your video although I already sub's and click on the bell thingy. Can't wait for you next video.
Japan looks so pretty in the winter! The landscape blanketed in snow looks so tranquil and beautiful. Snowshoeing around there would be amazing!
yes, Japan looks so pretty in the winter but I can never go there in winter. Enough of snow living cause I am from Boston.
Japanese bus drivers are some different kind of breed, I noticed when I was there. Absolutely cool when driving quickly along those tiny switchbacks.
I couldn’t agree more 😆 taxi drivers are also the same driving down narrow small roads
Happy to see your Vlog again, it was so much fun!!☺️✨ Winter in Nagano is so beautiful and peaceful!❄️☃️
Looking forward to No.2☺️
Omg it looks so peaceful… I feel like the winter brings a different type of serenity and calm to the outdoors. Can’t wait for part 2! ❤️

Another truly wonderful and beautiful video from our Angela, who continually raises the RUclipsr bar. Such amazing and exciting scenery, it seems everything, including snow, looks more exciting and inviting in Japan. I'm hoping to be back in Japan in the autumn, but now I would definitely visit in winter. Part 2 cannot come quick enough.
Thank you Terence!
I’ll try to make some autumn videos this year if I can :)

I was waiting for thisss! You and Mari are a pairing made in heaven! These shots are gorgeous. How cool to see the torii gate sunken into the snow like that! 😍 also lol at the person ruining the silence 😂
Yeah I’m glad our feet didn’t sink all the way to the bottom! The snow was so soft!
Nagano prefecture is so so beautiful - but going there in winter is a unique experience for sure!

Finally can see your story again, looking forward for anothers and really wish can go to Japan
My favourite time of the year to visit Japan is summer! 🌞 Many people rule out the summer months due to the rainy season, heat and humidity, but visiting during summer does have some advantages! It really doesn't actually rain every day, you get plenty of day light hours and accommodation is much cheaper. Many places are pleasantly uncrowded and some spots which usually get swarmed by tourists during spring or autumn are super quiet and serene. I literally found myself to be the only visitor at some temples or shrines. 🤯 Also I absolutely love the scenery in Japan during summer, especially in the countryside! 🌻 Lush green maple trees and rice fields, the sound of cicadas and gorgeous flowers everywhere. 🥰 Kamakura is a wonderful place to visit while the hydrangea flowers (ajisai) are in full bloom and there are a few beaches as well to cool off. Summer also has some amazing festivals! I was lucky to catch some events of the Gion Matsuri festival while in Kyoto, which were remarkable. Highly recommend to visit Japan during the summer months if you're able to cope with some heat and humidity. Plus it's Japan so you're never far from a vending machine to keep you hydrated. 😉 Just don't forget to bring sunscreen and mosquito spray with you! 😅 Otherwise you get to pack light for a summer trip as you don't need warm clothes - so you got more space in your bags to bring loads of stuff back home with you. 😁👌🏻
Winter is my favorite. You reminded me hiking the Swiss Alps near the end of winter. So beautiful I loved the scenery. I miss skiing so much.
I would love to try winter hiking!
Lovely video as always :)
I'm so glad that you are back with another video, always a big fan of your channel.
Your outfit is perfect for this video-white on white- loved!!!
The mountains look spectacular , it must have looked 10 times better in person! Can't wait to come and visit Japan during winter. But does it really cold to walk outside for a long time? Is there places along the way to warm up?
Looks so beautiful there.

Good to see you again, friend. Happy to explore with you once more. Winter is underrated.
千畳敷の景色めっちゃめっちゃきれいですね❗️😊
They got buckets of snow up north this year. I really want to go up and film some content, but work is way too busy. I did get a little footage of Tokyo in the snow, but only a little bit.
Can't wait to see the rest of the series!
Worth the wait 🤩Definitely gonna put Nagano winter season (and also summer season too) on my bucket list 😍I wanna in the snow so badly for someone who has never been to a snowy place/touch the snow 😆
Can't wait for part 2 😆
It’s much more beautiful (and cold) in real life haha
@@internationallyME I don't mind the cold as long as it's beautiful & I can touch/play with the snow 🤣😂😆

Oh my goodness it's great to see you again Angela. Missed watching you. Please make more videos. I miss Japan very much and want to return but can't currently.
2:55 not only in Kurumayama, but you can also see Mt.Fuji in Myoko Kogen (another skiing spot way more farther northward) as well, provided the weather is really sunny and clear.
Nice to see you still doing videos in Japan. A shame your Internationally Us thing fell apart because of covid. Keep at it!
Long time Angela! Great to see your vlog again!
Yay! I look forward to your next video! Oh Angela, do you think you could do a video about spring 2022 in Japan? :)

Hi, I'm from Kolkata, India..
Your vlogs are awesome..
I just love it..❤️🌼🌸
Wow that looks so pretty! It doesn't snow where I live so I'm always intrigued by snow TBH. When you showed what that one area looks like in summer though I was equally wowed. It legit looks like something out of Heidi. Japan's Alps indeed.
Angela is back! Woohoo
I love your videos!
Btw, what camera do you use for taking videos?
The courage of using white in Winter!!!
i want to go skiing now
Japan in witer very amazing
Meant to ask, is it still easy to breath there, being that high up? That is a beautiful site.
