As a diehard ELP fan, very cool. I bet if they were still alive and saw this, they would grab it and use it to introduce the song. The mechanical sound would be the clincher in a concert hall. I suppose a lot of work just for that. Can't imagine the work if you follow the entire storyline.
@@RobMorreychannel it is very good.. now you have the story board from the album, i was hoping someone would turn that into a short video... GREAT START! see if you can get permission from the record company to put this to ELP's music !
Hey Rob! The work you did on this animation is spectacular! Would you have a version i could use to project as a backdrop for my stage presentation of Tarkus? My ELP tribute show, Manticore, plays theaters in the northeast US and i'm currently just using a stock photo of the Tarkus album cover as a backdrop. Your video would definitely add a wow factor. Thanks for posting - it was a joy to watch.
Hi Rob Shepard & Manticore, I use "WeTransfer" to move big files about, so I will need an email address, the file isn't enormous just to big for normal email . Have you had a look at Battlefield on my channel ruclips.net/video/-lkNBaRwNpE/видео.html there are a few more images you might use. I can send you this as well if you want, they should play on any computer. You can use them as much as you like. Rob
@@RobMorreychannel LOL! Your Battlefield video was fun! My email is mjstcdnce5@optonline.net Btw - I find it interesting that we share the same first name and my dad's name was Morey. Nice to meet you. You do great stuff! Thanks loads!
Hi Ardent, I have tried this with another youtuber. The model needs some work to remove a lot of internal overhangs, I might have a go from my end, we shall see. Thanks for the positive comment though.😁
Thanks Andres. The next instalment is with armoured cricket (I think that's what it might be) and the Papo Pteranodon aeroplane, should be out in February.
@@RobMorreychannel Great album it was. When Pictures at an Exhibition came out I remember visualizing this whole alternate story. The Old Castle made me think, first of all of some kind of machine warming up. A giant vehicle on skis, powered by harnessed magnetism and when the music starts the thing is sliding down snowy moutain sides...
Knock yourself out Gene, use it as much as you like. If you send me an email address I can send you the original file, and thanks for the positive comment.
Thanks veryfriendlyok. The next one (in week or so) just has the armoured cricket, the Papo Pteranodon aeroplane and Tarkus. I do have the strange buildings with eyes in the background, its a bit odd! No volcano.
Not sure Reik9greg if the files will transfer to something you can use. I think there is a 3d printing thing in Inventor, I will have look and see what comes out, if it works I will let you Know.
@@RobMorreychannel You can refer to me as Em (short for Emerson, funny enough) if that makes it easier. Be sure to get back to me though. I just use Cura as my preferred slicer software. Hi Em, I have 2 files for you, one is a shrinkwrap in Inventor format, the other is shrinkwrap stl. I think you will use the stl. How do I get them to you?
Hi Hexagonal Awareness, The surrounding area is called Desert Dawn and is in the software package I use to make the models (Autodesk Inventor). It is basically an image pasted to the inside of an hemisphere or cylinder and my model is placed at the centre. Hope this helps Rob.
The animation is ruined by the introduction of a paved, well maintained highway. Isn't it supposed to be post-apocalyptic? Otherwise, a very good effort!
Thanks Charles. Unfortunately the software that I am using is for mechanical component design. The choice of backgrounds is very limited, but I do take your point. Rob

I would not sign that petition. Tarkus is no such thing as a simple tank.
Ahhh gracias, por recordarme a ELP ! Un Tarkus! En animación WOW genial!! 😁😁😁✌️✌️👍👍

awesome! Just add Eruption, please. It would be superb!!!
