  • In this video I just walk through the guided component test and hook up the lap scope from the zeus+ and show it in action. Nothing fancy.

So the scope module doesn't have the option to be mounted on the back of the tool? Only wired? How absolutely stupid is that!
The zoom feature has always been one that only zooms out. I'm okay with that part, once you understand that if you want detail and repetition you must set your scope waveform for detail, then zoom out on the buffer for the repetition.
Scope leads with no backprobing adapters, given the cost of this thing?! Agree 100%
Some features are limited in the scope within the component test meter, which is really dumb!
    Thanks for the mention!!

Thanks for watching my friend. I hope by doing these videos and talking with snap on they can make some adjustments going forward. I think they have a tool just needs some improvements.

In Snap On's defense (and take this lightly!) The quality of scope captures over bluetooth may be affected. Even Pico which in my opinion is the Cadillac of oscilloscopes requires a usb connection

@@JNaimoli True but the autel ultra seems to do a fine job with its scope so I can’t really agree with that 100%
But the pico scope yes I believe is one of the best scopes on the market it’s primarily what I use. Sometimes it’s nice not to have to drag out the Laptop everyday if I just want to scope something quick

    • @JNaimoli

A single device is always more convenient, I was just thinking the Latency of a wireless scope on a very fast signal could pose a problem. I have not used the Ultra though so you would be better equipped to comment on that

Is the dual screen still a "glitch", or did that finally fix it? What I mean, and @scannerdanner will understand this, you have to go into guided comp test, use it as the scope, pop out the window, and then Open up the scanner side to have a dual window setup. It's ridiculous that's not built in as a function

Yea honestly to me this is where market testing comes in. I find it very hard to believe that they are putting their tools in actual mechanics hands before sending them to market.

Hey what do you think of the tool after some time? I have the opportunity to buy one with the bundle including extra monitor, amp clamp, etc for $7,000 all new. What do you think? I have an older Autel but thinking about upgrading

You're exactly right with the zoom, snap on you have to start zoomed in, Pico you have to start zoomed out.

    • @Enrightauto

@@Enrightauto The fact that the Snap On zoom functionality works backwards from Pico has always annoyed me, but I think the thing that annoys me most about the Snap On scope modules is the bleed through between channels that often happens..(at least on my Verus M4 scope module) All that said I still prefer my snap on because it's such a quick convenient grab.

asside from all the hardware upgrades, convenience features, and the " intelligent diagnostics" marketing crap, i dont really see any difference between this and my verus edge. the scope appears to be the same. its a nice looking tool, would consider grabbing if the price was right. too many other options out there, especially when you already own a snap on scope and scanner.

    • @Enrightauto
      @Enrightauto  Год назад

Yea I agree the scan tool itself has a bunch of features. It is faster and I will say the screen is Amazing on the quality it has but the scope does look the same from my verus edge as well.
I was in the same boat and mentioned to my dealer it would have to be a great deal for me to upgrade because essentially in the end I’m just upgrading for more speed and some creature comforts.

Also i wish the guided component test had module locations AND printouts for them, and tests including fuss box info with location of fusses and ratings i also wish it had a math chanel like the pico scope cheers . it would also be nice if i can leave myself notes on the tool given the certain make and model i left it in . cheers again .

That’s why I like the Zeus. It has the scope built in but it is removable as well. And there’s a trick that allows you to split the screen and watch scope and live data at the same time on the same screen.
I have no interest in “upgrading” to the Zeus+.
