When Howard kisses Fernando's hand and Billy says "These things happen at that age.... " I almost fall out of my bed laughing!! 😂🤣😂🤣
Just to hear Cosell’s voice makes my day. An absolute legend!
I miss him too. He and Ali ...there are some memories for ya.
One of the Best Skits Ever. Never Gets old and Never Stops Being Funny.
Sorry but . . . you don't LOOK too good. But i'll bet you FEEL MAHVELOUS.
I read where Billy Crystal said so many people asked him to do Fernando he stopped. So glad 🙂 we still have Fernando on tape. When he first did it back in the day a date got me high at his friends house. I laughed so hysterically I’m sure they thought I was Krazy. But now? Sober as a judge I’m laughing harder! Fernando makes tears of laughter for me. The Krazier he is? The more I love him! Thank you Billy for Fernando!
"You look marvelous", I still say this to this day.😁
Cosell was one of the greatest boxing announcers of all time
Howard made Monday Night Football watchable even when the games stunk. He was fun to listen to because he so different from anyone we ever saw
I didn't know anything about sports, but I knew who Howard was!
I just love Billy Crystal! One of my favorites!🤩
What I loved about the Hideaway is that Billy Crystal improvised in each of those segments and wasn't scripted.
It would've been a great short spin-off talk-show back then; or a short-length podcast now!
It’s better to look good than to feel good
I miss these days.
😂🤣‼️ Classic hilarity!!!!
Billy Howard and Fernando..love them all..Rest In Peace Howard and Fernando..
I loved Fernando!! I loved SNL back then!
Me too. Don't forget. Fernando taught us all a very important life lesson: "It's better to look good than to feel good."
@@bendecko and dahling YOU LOOK MARVELOUS!
Billy is brilliant.
That was marvelous.
It's 2024 and I still tell my wife..."It's better to look good than to feel good"!🥰
I loved Billy Crystal wish he'd been on a few more seasons
This is too funny. It's brilliant
And you know who you are, Darling!
You really appreciate this skit even more when you know the kind of relationship both Billy Crystal and Howard Cosell had with The Champ, Mohammed Ali.
Looks like Billy had to improvise a lot in this sketch and was lightning fast! Howard kept going off script.
Wish Billy would host and bring back Fernando's Hideaway 😊
Update: Just watched a recent interview with Billy talking about the character.
Turns out it was always improvised.
So no Q-cards and no script!
Miss Billy Crystal! Now, he retired as a Los Angeles Clippers fan. How the mighty have fallen!
Dandy Don and Howard were the best.
Billy Crystal told the funny story about this episode with Howard Cosell in letterman show & how difficult it was for Billy to talk with Cosell Must Check it out
They were best Jews pals : )
RIP HOWARD COSELL One of a kind
Must be having crazy stuffs with Ali : )
Saw this referenced in a book, had to check it out
He mentioned Mr T and "Julk Jogan " segue 39 years and Julk is ripping his shirt off on RUclips at the RNC. doh!
When SNL was still good
I concur
Old school comedy. What's it doing on SNL? Belushi would be rolling over in his grave.
Can you work with me
Please get new people who can restore snl to its great days. NO more woke or politics. Otherwise snl has been dead to me for 8yrs
Don’t know what show you were watching, but SNL has been political since its inception.
It's hardly woke; it makes fun of stereotypes every damn week.
SNL has made fun of every President since its start in 1975. Chevy Chase was doing falls as Gerald Ford back then.
Only eight? Really?
crystal was not funny!
