I’ve been using Tula Ammo for years and have never had a single issue with in in any caliber. I remember buying tons of it from Wal-Mart😂 A 40 round box of 7.62x39 was under $10, .45 acp was about $10 a box, 9mm was about $8 a box, .223 was about $6 a box. I would buy a few boxes every time I went there. Tula never fails!
Wolf & Tula have a reputation for being under powered. In my experience, It has been quite the opposite. (Kinda spicy!) Thanks for the share!!

Continuing to love this series! Hopefully people understand that this is definitely a “your mileage may vary” since this is a small sampling. Still, I think it’s a good indicator.
Yes, after testing 22 different loads I wish I had fired ten or 15 rounds, but then ammo can vary lot to lot. I also considered doing different barrel lengths but then not all barrels are of equal quality. The best I can do is provide general direction and hopefully highlight some extremes.
I love tulammo. Never had a single issue with it and that’s saying something considering how many rounds have been through my pistols.

Some steel ammo is underpowered, but some stuff is good. When I chrono'd Monarch .223 steel cased it was weaker than M193 but stronger than all the other brass cased .223 I tried.

We have used 9mm TulAmmo for most of the EP9 test firing and their QC is excellent. We have had exactly one round with a problem. That was TulAmmo which was zinc plated and sold under another brand, and the primer fell out of the casing without igniting the powder. For one out of well over 50k rounds fired, that is pretty amazing QC. TulAmmo has also been outstanding in terms of customer support tickets, with very few customers having problems with their firearms using TulAmmo. Some very big brands that most people trust more than TulAmmo are the culprits of reliability problems or damage to firearms by a squib round.
The higher velocity and the consistency of that velocity is what we appreciate most about TulAmmo. We recommend TulAmmo for "break-in" as some range ammo will not have enough energy to properly cycle the bolt consistently on a brand-new firearm, but TulAmmo never disappoints on that front.
I miss inexpensive bulk ammo. I'm still surprised that nobody has tried to take over that market.
0.22/round is the cheapest we've seen in recent times for 9mm.
Winchester tried and put out the trash Forged steel cased ammo and it's so dirty, full of gun powder, shards of copper, steel. It's just gross. I spent hours cleaning that ammo before I even considered loading that stuff in my guns.
@@agoogleuser2369it's crazy to me that they think they will have better success making and selling that junk than just making quality ammo that works, at the cheapest price point possible.
AAC is working on a steel cased line.
Hornady makes steel case. They think its worth a dollar a round almost, tho. Because they're literally wetodid.
After watching your video’s testing ammo’s i conclude that i need to buy a GP K 100 . Your grouping is dead nuts. Tula ammo performed well in most of my semi auto handguns and PCC’s

All the steel cased I’ve seen in the past 12-18 months is more expensive that many other brass cased 9mm offerings. 😳

Great video. Ive never had issues with Tula in any caliber that I've shot from 9mm, .40 cal, 7.62x39, .223, or 7.62x54R. I know you don't shot .357 mag Tula because the cases expand in the cylinder chambers of a revolver making it difficult to extract.
That expansion rate that I've been spewing about for a few hundred videos, lol.
I had trouble getting 223 to eject from my AR due to expansion I guess so I stopped using it years ago. I still have about 7 /20 rnd boxes laying on my shelf wondering if I should try it in my Savage Axis 223 ?? @@GBGuns

Wow, great group! My only experience with Tula is 38 special...very hot rounds, and shells were very difficult to eject

Russians make some spicy meatballs. I have Tula in a couple of calibers including 9mm and 7.62×39. I would buy it anytime at a good price. This series is very cool! This series is a gift to the viewers. Thanks to GB Guns!

Haha, Yes shooter skill plays a role, but also how each of us interact with the firearm. The K100 shoots like an extension of my mind after this point. Many years, lots of training, lots of trigger time.
The K100 is such a good looking piece.
For the last 3 years S & B has been my favorite range ammo. Now it looks like TulAmmo is certainly worth adding to the list....Very impressive! But now I can't help but wonder if TulAmmo is consistently this good? Or, is this just a particularly good batch? Thanks for all of the testing and for the informative and well produced videos!

As regards muzzle velocity: barrel length is VERY IMPORTANT!
I for one would never "carry into Combat" a 9mm with less then a 4 inch barrel. And my preference with the .357 Magnum revolvers is for a 6 inch barrel.
(Now, as a Uninformed "Officer" or Security Guard? I might feel comfortable with a 4.5 or 5 inch.)
With rifles, like the .30-06, wasn't the standard way back 100+ years ago for a 26 inch barrel?
Even today, for big game hunting I want a 24 inch barrel in the .270 or .30-06 class rifles.
My own "Pet" hand loads launch a 180 grain Nosler at a reliable 2,800 Feet Per Second. Just about perfect for Elk!!!

I obtained a bunch of Tula 45 ACP a few years back. It shot fine but I recall that it was extremely dirty.
I love how you test ammo. Would it be possible for you to test out some 9mm hslammo in the future? Their price per round is very reasonable
I've never heard of HSL. This series has a total of 23 115gr 9mm range loads in it now. I'll be getting the complete chart and rankings up on our website soon.
You need to do this with defense ammo as well.
I've fired hundreds of rounds of TulAmmo in different calibers. Never had a single round fail. Same with Wolf.
I’ve only had one issue with the stuff, it was a light strike on the first round with my canik rival. It ran hundreds of other rounds of the stuff too so it wasn’t the light trigger to blame
The accuracy isn’t a big deal if you’re doing close range drills, and in my area it costs $14.50 a box, so I’ll still snag a box every now and then. It’s technically dirtier ammo but I honestly can’t tell the difference compared to something like blazer brass when it comes to carbon fouling

Oh yeah! 16” barrel really gets a 115g 9mm moving fast.
I've had and seen mixed results with it. Sometimes velcity will be high/low, sometimes you get a sparkler signature from unknown powder issue, some guns fire them well, some don't. I don't shoot it anymore as American designed/produced guns are made for brass casings and the extractors on some guns will over time suffer from steel vs brass as will the barrels due to the copper washed steel jacket on this ammo. It's also extremely dirty ammo to fire causing a lot more cleaning than higher quality ammo. If a person has a eastern European gun that's designed for steel cased ammo and doesnt mind spending more cleaning time then I guess it makes some sense to shoot it. I actually see people shoot match type pistols with it and it makes me wonder why.
If the steel parts in your gun are softer than Tula cases, you've got a problem other than the ammunition. Nothing wrong with steel case, and there's no design difference in guns based on steel case vs otherwise. What's the problem running jt in a match gun other than missing out on the mechanical accuracy built in to your piece? And how much are you really missing it by? Out at 500+ with a long gun, you can tell you're shooting wolf, otherwise it's a toss up. Stuff is way better than many of you think.. it's not the same as the lacquered Barnaul stuff, not at all.

I have a question. I own a Taurus G2C and this ammo jams every time in mine. Does not jam with the brass 9mm bullets at all. Could it just be the barrel size of the G2C. It’s the first pistol I have owned.
It's likely the chamber (part of the barrel where the round fits) being a little too tight or too rough for the increased friction of the steel. I bet if you really cleaned it steel-cased ammo would run for a little while until it got dirty again.
You should not use any Russian ammo in G2C because of high pressure. Taurus not recommend high pressure rounds in any Brazilian Pistols. Maybe PT 92 will be no problem.
What's your opinion on the steel being significantly harder on the extractor than brass, or aluminum for that matter? Would you liked have to run 10,000 or more rounds through a firearm before it could become a problem?
Another way to look at it is: IF it causes a problem does the savings on ammo counter the cost of replacing an extractor? This thought came to mind when I heard folks bashing steel-case in their rifles. At the time the cost savings per case X number of cases you'd need to fire to damage your barrel or extractor meant assuredly you would save enough to replace the extractor, barrel, and likely the entire rifle.

It's sad how wrecked US manufacturing has become. Even things machined in the US likely use foreign source materials, especially ammo. The Obama administration shut down the last US lead smelter, so where's the lead come from? Overseas.
