I don't use VLC for any of the tricks you've listed. These are the main 2 reasons I use VLC: 1) Boostable audio 2) Global Hotkeys - changing the music volume/track while playing a game is always a hassle, having to change focuses and clicking on the next button. Well, with Global Hotkeys, you can just press the designated hotkeys you set and voila!
Two big questions: Can VLC play BD movies? JRiver can do so beautifully, instantly and from any region, though it needs AnyDVD HD decrypter running in the background to do it all. And which, if any, is the very best handheld IR remote that can access at least most of VLC's transport and maybe other functions like slow motion and zoom?
I've been using VLC for a very long time and couple of these tricks i honestly didn't think that VLC can do it. But I might add that you should've added that you can manipulate audio and subtitle delay as well. It is a great feature and its way too useful especially if you watch movies way too much like I do.

Audio and video on my large video file are out of sync. That means audio plays at different time than the video. Can this anomaly be addressed and audio, video be restored to original setting using VLC? Please advise.
also, to stream videos from youtube or other places on mac, go to the menubar, click file, click open network and paste the url and you're done. you can also find a ton of other features in there too that have been talked about in this video. you're welcome :)

Hi, Can you please let me know what is the software that you are using to capture the desktop screen, the VLC recorder isnt capturing the audio...I have checked all the settings no issues with that
Format Factory does a better job at converting files plus you can Batch convert files and it's free. VLC tends to have problems with Video and Audio syncing issues when converting large video files.
