Ayyye, thank you! Welcome to the family 👊😎🏴☠️
I remember hearing on a Craig Reynolds video that pacsun (the drummer) is actually religious, it would be incredibly interesting to have him on the podcast to parse out his and the band’s feelings lyrically
If i’m not mistaken most of them are I was watching how issac said that he used see people go to church who were just shitty and horrible people and that they would use religion to make themselves look better.😊
Unfortunately I think a lot of folks do that. And yes, I'd love to have Craig on the podcast
did not know that, its a pleasant surprise
Newcomer to the channel here. Man you really know how to react to a song, taking lyrics and instrumentation into account, evaluating other perspectives and comparing to even your own. especially on topics like religion. You earned a subscriber my man, keep up the great content! Knocked Loose got me into hardcore music, now I’m finding myself slowly getting into more older punk music, I’m def going to check out more of your stuff. 🤘
Wow, you just made my day! Thank you. Welcome to the family my dude 👊
Hey, you checked it out. Glad you dug it. It's definitely heavy lol
Honestly, I had to once you said that to me earlier 🤣🤣🤣
My interpretation of the lyrics is that it's a criticism of church versus a religion. The two are not synonymous. One can have faith and be uninterested and critical of the church as an institution.
Yeah, that's pretty much what I was saying. This song was HEAVY in more ways than one as well
Happy early birthday! As another religious dude, I csn understand the rejection of chruch rather thsn religion. Byran himself said that he believed in God in a previous interview a few years back, so it's interesting.
Sweet teenage bottlerocket hat
Thank you! I love that hat and that band!
I'm with you on the God Vs religion thing 💯
I try and be logical with my thinking, and I try to be kind. We'll see how that works out I guess, lol
Hey dude, I live in Houston and wondering if you know any good metal bars? We are trying out Black Magic Social this weekend bc I hear the occult ambiance is pretty cool. I know Brash Brewing is good and I wanna check out Acadia. Know of anything else?
Also, I typed “the punk rock review” in RUclips search and your page didn’t even pop up. Took me a few minutes to find you. May wanna look into that
Have a good one boss
Also, I believe Brian (lead singer) wife died and brother within the same year or something like that
Unfortunately I haven't been in the "booking shows" part of things in a while so I'm not really sure about venues outside of a cpl. Try Scout Bar and The End Houston? May have some luch w those. As far as YT having me at the top of a search, that's not really how it works. I'm not big enough yet to be the top result when those words are searched. If more people sub and hit notifications, that will change. We're about to hit 4K, so 5 isn't that far away. Hopefully we'll see some improvement in that aspect. I appreciate the heads up though 👊
Are you saying that may be the reason he wrote the lyrics he wrote? I hope he's doing ok, that's a lot of trauma and pain to deal with all at once...
The prosperity gospel has ruined the evangelical church.
Very well said, I agree
honestly, a few of those prosperity gospel preachers actually seem evil af. Mainly Kenneth Copeland, like the way his eyes look and his small mannerisms genuinely seem evil
