This lesson is especially difficult when the person who doesn't meet your expectations is a spouse.
You have to decern the limitations of the people close to you. Then you have to ask yourself is this person an asset or a liability? You cant be superman & be surrounded by weak or unreliable people. If people close to you are flakey, shady, unreliable, selfish, ect. It's best to cut ties or restrict access. God is the source but we all need physical help at times. If people are looking to you to be their source but they cannot show up for you in your time of need that needs to be a goodbye. I agree you can't set unrealistic expectations for others. But people out here aren't even meeting the bare minimum from what I see.

We have to question whether our expectations of others is reasonable. Sometimes they are, other times they're not. But if we look at it from a perspective of understanding, as you say RC, human limitations, if we can see that most of the time It's not personal, we're then prone to be less angry, aggrieved, and may I say, entitled. If we understand that God got us, when others don't even if we got them, we're good. Thanks for another great talk, and stay safe in Egypt, round 2.🙏

This was such good teaching Bishop. I learned a long time ago to not expect people to do what I do. I no longer have disappointment because I have no expectation when it comes to humans. I put all of my hope and trust in JESUS! In him and him alone. The LORD GOD Almighty is the Source, always, who provide the Resources.

This is so true. I’ll admit, sometimes I get frustrated when people don’t think of me the way I think of them. Then I have to tell myself everybody is not going to be the same. But so many times when I fall into that slump, God always sends a blessing and it’s usually from someone I hadn’t even blessed. Not to mention I’m blessed with everything I need 🙏 thank you Jesus🙌

I have this saying that I reside by daily.....No expectations, no disappointments. I do what I can when I can for who I can and allow GOD to do the rest.
I needed this! Yesterday l basically was expressing to a friend how I didn't think they were a genuine friend because of my expectations of what l believe they should show how to care about me.
I agree that we have divine strength, and to be able to discern the energies they come with always assessed them. I do not expect things from anyone. However, I require certain things for you in order for you to be in the presence of my energies.

In my walk of life, I will do it unto the Glory of God. No limitations on my life. Boundaries yes! Whenever I'm not in a place at a certain time. You can believe it's important. It. It was already planned. Considering showing up for whatever is needed of me. I've always been Consistent. Persistent in whatever I do. I only want the best to be for the Lord. I’ve always known them to be valid, but here, even if valid, just the understanding that expectations is not the same as ability is helpful. Such a humbling question and perspective to help how we view those needs with others to think, indeed, “what if Jesus withheld or withdrew his benevolence” because of our inabilities or unwillingness to do what we’re suppose to do!! BUT AFTER constant let downs & being used by ppl that I believed THEIR WORDS, I ended up with the short hand of the stick frfr!!! I have to constantly now talk to & remind my heart to not go with the okie doke from EVERYBODY, no matter who they are!!! And that I need to work on me, love me, desire me, strengthen me, hunger for me, root for me & approve me!!!! I feel so much better inside & I'm truly happy now!!!
