The winch should actually be tested on an offroad trail where the vehicles are stuck in an uneven offroad terrain with slush, rocks and gravel. Either on a slope or a hill climb. A tricky situation where one's 4x4 vehicle and offroad skills give up in front of the challenging off-road terrain. That is where the capability to winch out oneself or other vehicles is actually tried and tested. On a flat plain surface any vehicle with a winch could easily pull out any other vehicle as there is no actual resistance of being on an actual offroad trail with various rescue and recovery challenges.
Needs to be still cheaper. Seen people buying over 18L and then further spending another 2 to 3L on it to make it more off-road capable. That way the Thar is far better a option than Jimny. It is more capable, more power, more torque and better suspension and more off-road capable for that price point. Even at 14L the Jimny still needs offroad mods which would easily cost another 2L. So better buying a thar which one could use as is and is more stock capable.
Sorry to say if you want to spend couple of lakhs to make it look Chapri Thar , please don’t buy it . Jimny is vehicle for confident people . Suzuki shouldn’t lower it price .
Confidence is lacking and so the drop in price and the other way round Jimny. Was over priced and is over priced and so the suffering. Otherwise it would have been a major hit in India as it is in European countries.
The thar has more value for money as compared to the jimny. The Jimny is also a good entry level 4x4 but its pricing is definitely a concern in India and so it wasnt selling. And now also with the drop in price and offers it is still suffering. Otherwise a good entry level affordable offroader. Hope Suzuki is listening
75% of Thar sales from RWD , so by means Jimny sales is more than 4x4 category. Thar is good vehicle but is comes with poor reputation, worst kind of drivers buying it for just show off and creating mess at roads .
I totally disagree, reputation of drivers and abuse of any vehicles doesnt decide the capability of that vehicle. And that isnt the deciding factor for recommending or choosing a capable 4x4 offroader. Just because some hooligans dont know how to use and respect their vehicles and abuse them doesnt mean the vehicles are bad or not capable at all. Thar is better equipped and more capable with the price it is offered at and the Jimny isnt. Its should be sold way below the existing price. The top model should come at 12L. It doesnt have much to offer on the feature front also. If its starting base price is at 8L it shall sell like hot cakes and for that price point it shall than be value for money.
@@YuvvrajKalyanie Firstly let’s not get into capabilities. 30 million Jimny vs 1 lakh Thar . That tested no where outside of India , so it’s better you not get there . Second , with diesel engines it abusive to nature and natural landscape . Third and last point , only few Thar drivers are good, most are show off and no civic sense drivers .
I think tough dog is better than ironman since i see dogs in workshop and i love dogs 😂😂😂

Did the Jimny go for a battery upgrade ?
@@KahanisGoldenBytes no. But I think it should have an extra one or some other solution for additional load.
Not only an extra battery for the winch at times people also put a better alternator to ensure such batteries charges faster and dont drain out.
nice to see you abhinav

Thar is Too damn big for my liking, I like the Jimny for it's small and fun to drive, mild off-roading capabilities
