I actually did but it was a pier fishing cart that I over engineered. Complete with front steering control arms and a 3ft tall vertical box at the rear with a slotted , locking lid to secure rods and reels in. I used it once before deciding it was too heavy and a waste of time . Had fun building it though
Very cool project. I could totally see a variety of different uses for those hub bearings. It certainly facilitates/improves the turn radius capabilities on whatever you put this on rather than the typical 4-wheel set up. Imagine adding to this, a hydraulic pump system that could raise up and lower the bed platform with something heavy like cement bags or animal feed bags perhaps (items that take a toll on your back), minimizing the need to lift or strain your back at all (because not everyone lifts things the "proper" way). Sure, a wheel barrel works too, but the name of the game is work smarter, not harder.
If I had the metal fabrication skills and tools, I would in a heartbeat. I would need one a little bigger though because my kids are in their 30's 🙂 Great Job. I'm sure anyone who wanted to make this could go to their local mechanic shop and ask them to get you some old hubs. They usually just through the old ones away or maybe scrap them.
the first few minutes had that feel, though the finished product was great. This wagon could hold so much more, the platform is the limiting factor. I have a pair of these bearings I was planning to use for a turntable to polish concrete, though now, I may build a comparable cart with a steel body and pneumatic tires for hauling crap in my shop!
With bullshit click-bait titles like this, yes. I clicked on this video ONLY to tell this channel to F off with this garbage title. I absolutely refuse to watch anything with undescriptive titles nowadays.
I thought this was going to be the creation of a project to demonstrate variable rate hubs or something. It wasn't until you started adding the wheels that I realized, "Oh... he's building a cart". GOOD JOB!!!!
Absolutely Brilliant! I wish I had that kind of time on my hands! That's a lot of work and effort that being a small farm farmer doesn't afford me the luxury of spending the time and energy on a project like this. I barely have time to fix or repair one thing before Mother Nature or the beasts require me to do something else. I applaud you for your ingenuity my friend.
Also, call me crazy, but I can haul two bags in my wheelbarrow that I’ve already got in my backyard. Although that was a very cool build, I just thought it was gonna be something, I don’t know, much more intriguing?
Your axle pivot bearings are 100x stronger than any cart needs, yet your wheels and bearings are half as strong as needed. We just used our radio flyer wagon. On Saturdays my brother and I picked up and delivered 880 local newspapers with that wagon.
In the late 1950's, my uncle (a Kentucky farmer) built a 4-wheel steer farm wagon . It tracked great behind a tractor, easily going through gates and tight turns. However, it was impossible to back up! I was just a kid, but still remember it vividly.
Nice cart, very manoeuvrable. I would've doubled up on the plywood and used countersunk head bolts going right through the plywood to mount the hubs, much easier than mounting on the steel plate and then all that routering to accommodate the plate and bolts
Ok, fantástico proyecto maestro, gracias por compartir sus conocimientos y experiencias,un saludo cordial y por supuesto un merecido like desde Narón (Galicia)👍🤓😜
Yes, I would decide to build one like this. I am currently working on a gorilla-style wagon on steroids. I made the first version strong but it was too heavy without even being loaded. I now have stripped it of some overkill and am hoping it will haul the weight and still be towable by hand. I made this to haul stuff like 2 cycle motors, washing machines, and every other item that can fit and be pulled manually across slightly rough and hilly terrain. I designed the steering the same way your steering is set up. It makes it much easier and quicker. I have tires off the front end of standard riding mowers. They work well but I think the taller the better. So at 8" now and hope to go with 13" and thinner. Also solid with aluminum rims. The weight adds up and as I mentioned I am now removing probably 20 lbs. It is fun and challenging. I have a mobility chair and am considering implementing that into this cart. But it looks like with the chair all stripped down it may be better to build off that rather than fabricate for the cart. Since the mobility set-up hauls 300lbs. I am also thinking about a powered cart with a seat or just turning it into a utility cart like a back seat or front seat driven with a flat bed at either end. Your build is very impressive. I like the hub design. They put a new meaning to tight controls for sure. And smoothest operation. Great build! Erock, Tulsa
Very cool. I would have to alter the wheel type (no flat hard surfaces). Off road wheels would be cool for use out doors. I have seen heavy duty trailers with double linkages behind tractors that gave that same quick turn ability. Thanks for this project.
Wait, wait, wait . . . so you're telling me that you can make pallets that actually *turn properly?* Anyone who's ever stocked retail goods knows the struggle.
They should seriously make pallet jacks with this kind of steering... it'd make loading pallets into bays so much easier with this kind of turning radius! I'm sure there's reasons they don't though- especially when considering how those jacks are put together, and that forklifts and other devices need to be able to plug in and lift the standard pallet- it'd probably take drastic redesigning which in the end is impractical.
I couldn't concentrate on your art while focusing on your nylon vest thinking whether it will melt and burn your skin from welding sparks. Worried for you!
I thought it was a skateboard. It's a very useful contraption. I see so many videos that are a waist of time & some that are not very clever--which I'm not claiming is fact, but only an opinion. I'm going to steal your idea weather I need it or not. (I'll relay credit.) At the very least, it should be fun to enjoy the result. Sometimes the most basic things can be very clever & a huge help w/ out a computer & a thousand parts. Keep chuggin!
You get points for a great title that piques one’s curiosity. But I feel so stupid for watching this because I got sucked into having to “know how it works” when I have no idea “what” it is that I’m watching. Cute use of a connecting rod but I personally find a single front pivot to be more controllable for small wagons and sleds.
My brother made a trolley ( nz British? ) push go cart ! In the seventies with the same method of steering! 😊 was cool and could corner at high speed so we’ll !
Would you decide to do it for yourself or not?
As soon as I remove the wheel bearings from my wife's car. One day soon she'll find her car on jack stands.
Сделано добротно, но в быту - бесполезна. Я бы такую делать не стал.
I would decide to but then not actually do it.

I am pretty sure I bought 4 swivel bearing castors to do the same thing making a piano mover with a smaller height, cool thing though.
Absolutely brilliant. Quality work.

Skip through it and see 10 minutes in 1.5
Correct....
Amen

When I got to the end of the video and realized what you were trying to do I was impressed. 👍
_And I was so darn sure, you'd use it as a skate board.._
Thanks! Yes, the children really liked my idea)
😂😂😂...me too!!
Mee too.
That would be so dangerous at speed without some dampening to avoid speed wobbles. a downhill cart with a brake, let's go!
If only they mass produced something like this...they could even put sides on it and call it a wagon. Yeah, a wagon, what a super cool idea.
Молодец,отличная идея,просто супер.
I thought this was going to be the creation of a project to demonstrate variable rate hubs or something. It wasn't until you started adding the wheels that I realized, "Oh... he's building a cart". GOOD JOB!!!!
Very good project. Steering system is new to me.
Wow that steering system is 1500 years old

Too bad Radio Flyer doesn’t make those wagons as sturdy as they used to.
Four casters with roller bearings from the hardware has served me fine for twenty years.
Is that because they don't tell you what it is to begin with?
That is something I use around my shop. I may try and make one for myself. 🙂
Ein sehr schönes und wendiges Vehikel. Gratuliere.
Great video!
Nice, ingenious and so much fun for the kids 👍
Beautiful build. Always make sure the load is evenly distributed!
Very nicely done
Such a great idea, and so many variations possible.
Projects are an outlet for the educated, thinking, mind.
Very cool...and simple...thanks for sharing...
Fantastic work, Vanya! Really well done! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Good to see your use of quality PPE !😊❤

This reminds me of when I use my skateboard for moving stuff but way more maneuverable. Awesome 👌 👏 👍
You get a like for giving the kids a ride. Oh, and good demonstration on how to make rear steering. (if ever needed)
Absolute genius idea!
Excellent! I want one. A zero turn dolly. It would be very useful in the shop.
Идея супер! Беру на заметку!👍
I like it. GOOD WORK!
That’s pretty cool! Nice work!
You do some excellent work.I'm subscribing!🌞
You do amazing work it’s so clean and on point. Your kids look like they love it too
Thanks, I'm trying! Yes, the children unexpectedly liked it very much)
Genial, magnífico, excelente, gran trabajo 👌👏👏👏
Великолепно!!!😊😊😊😊😊
Great awesome work 👍🏻 👍🏻
Me encantó el final jajaja
Nice job!!
Crazy awesome build! Lol great idea...
Beyond cool. Very nice, very sturdy and amazingly useful!
Thank you for appreciating my work so much!
Now that's just super cool!
great build!

I Love the completed work. Looks so neat and professional👍
Clever idea!
Hey you built a wagon. And it only took 100 hours. Well done.
Briliant!
Excellent!!
Excellent !
Nice project, good idea to expensive
Funtastic!
Very good!
That would make a great go kart 👍
Thanks! A good idea to think about)
Super awesome
Brilliant
awesome, but can i suggest wider wheels and thrust bearings on the handle. overkill, but my kids might take something like that outside.
A very cool job! Old hub bearings are provided with a new mission in retirement)) Here they will work to the maximum!
Very cool. I would have to alter the wheel type (no flat hard surfaces). Off road wheels would be cool for use out doors. I have seen heavy duty trailers with double linkages behind tractors that gave that same quick turn ability. Thanks for this project.
Very nice.
Radio Flyer ? Hold my beer …
That's really cool dude.
Really? It works AND NO ONE KNOWS HOW?!!! Whoah!
excelent!
💪🏼💪🏼💗

That’s really great
Looks kind of heavy but a creative use of old wheel hubs. Though the axle truss would appear to be a weak link in that otherwise heavy duty build
Wow ‼️
Let the kids pull you on it. With those precision bearings and wheels, they could probably do it quite easily, on a smooth level surface.
Особенно финал красивый!🙂
Très bonne idée
very nice
Brilliant!
Well made .
When I saw the thumbnail I thought you were going to make a giant cassette tape wall art piece. 😅
Perfect 👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷
Over engineered but brilliant thanks for sharing very useful
What brand drill press?
Muito bom! Parabéns
Brilliant
It's like a miniature hay wagon
So you made a bizarrely engineered Ackerman steering trolley 👍
I couldn't concentrate on your art while focusing on your nylon vest thinking whether it will melt and burn your skin from welding sparks. Worried for you!
Next time it goes through the laundry it will show all the holes.
Cool new streetboard design. A bit heavy.
aaaaaa well it almost was

Nicely done.

Cute use of a connecting rod but I personally find a single front pivot to be more controllable for small wagons and sleds.
I mounted a steel 4 foot diameter circle to one of those hub assemblies making a playground style spin toy for the children.
I just go directly to the end . Most of the time I have no use for it , other times it is interesting to see how they built it .
My brother made a trolley ( nz British? ) push go cart ! In the seventies with the same method of steering! 😊 was cool and could corner at high speed so we’ll !
Nice god bless
