7 ROARING 777 TAKEOFFS | Anchorage Airport Plane Spotting

- Anchorage is one of the busiest freight airports in the world and is one of the only airports where you can see aircraft like the DC6, DC9 and C130 still in commercial use. Along with that, older aircraft like the B747, MD11 and DC3s are very commonly seen throughout the day. Further combined with its incredible mountain scenery and fantastic unobstructed close up vantage points, in my opinion, it's the true plane spotters heaven.
Featured here are 7 powerful Boeing 777 freighters taking off from right up close, be sure to turn your volume up to listen to the grunt of those GE-90s!

777 is literally the best looking aircraft even. I mean EVER.
My favorites are:
777-300er
A350-1000
A380
747-8
A330-900neo
Top1 747-400 top2 Md11/dc-10 top3 777-300ER.
Facts
B1B
Yes but my favourites are:
-Boeing 787-10,8 and 9
-Boeing 777-300ER
-Boeing 737-800
-Boeing 767
-Boeing 747-SCA
-Airbus A380
-Airbus A350
-Airbus A330-200F and 300
I work for UPS. We should have got in line to buy 777s years ago, but the company managment is so slow to make decisions that they missed their window of opportunity. Instead we got an aging fleet of 757s, 767s, second-hand MD-11s, and A300s that are too slow for anything but domestic routes. Our only new airplane is the 747-8, and it’s too big and expensive for anything but the longest and heaviest routes. I envy the airlines that have the 777... though I guess I shouldn’t complain. The MD-11 requires so much overtime to keep flying that it’s putting my kids through college.
Paul that sort of interesting
Didn't they order more 767's?
My dad works for UPS. I’ll carry this along. He agrees as well. Loves the new 747s tho
Paul I honestly don't understand your resentment.
The 777 is a long haul freighter just as the 747 is and UPS already operates 22 Boeing 747's, 9 of which are 747-8F's.
With 19 more entering service by 2022, UPS will be the largest operator of the Boeing 747-8.
The 747-8 can carry a payload of 139 tonnes with a volume of 24462 ft³ in the main cargo deck.
The 747-8 can carry 16% more revenue cargo volume and provides 17% more fuel-efficiency than its predecessor.
I am not an advocate for the 747-8 but it is literally a more capable freighter than the 777 in terms of freight volume.
UPS has a better plane in other words.(And don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the 777, it's ginormous engines and it's long haul capabilities!)
Other than that, it is virtually a custom for freight airlines to operate second hand older aircraft.
Here is a good example for comparison.
As of November 2018, the FedEx Express fleet consists of the following aircraft:
68 Airbus A300-600RF
5 Airbus A310-300F
22 McDonnell Douglas MD-10-10F
13 McDonnell Douglas MD-10-30F
57 McDonnell Douglas MD-11F
119 Boeing 757-200SF
68 Boeing 767-300ERF with 54 New deliveries through 2023.
37 Boeing 777F
FedEx has enough aging aircraft to see a town trough college!
Cheers.
@@SsiolisP Fedex has been taking deliveries an average of 2 new 767-300's every 3 months (and has for years), and will continue to do so with orders for 130 NEW aircraft. The 777 fleet has also grown to almost 60 with more on order as well (all NEW). Rumors are afloat they will be the launch customer of the 777X Freighter. Here's a fun fact: FedEx focuses on higher yielding, time-definite freight...not the "rubber dog shit" flown out of HKG. It is not unheard of to have over $7,000,000.00 of revenue on a SINGLE Express Freighter. With current yields (10-11%), that new 777 is paid for in just a few months ;-). As usual, Fred Smith and his forward vision was SPOT-ON when he chose the 777 over the 747. Bigger is not better in the express cargo industry. That Highly Efficient FedEx 777 easily flies 15 hour legs from Asia or the Middle East as well as short 45 min legs within Europe, profitably. You won't see a 747 (Dash 200, 300, 400 or 800) doing that. The 747 is an ICON, and does an amazing job flying heavy cargo throughout the world - but it is not the correct platform for the Express Freight Industry. 747's are a dime-a-dozen, new or used...but try and buy a new 777F from Boeing. Get in line.
That camerawork, especially at 2:22! Are you even a human?
I thought that was gonna become a tail strike. I was scared af

Awesome B777s compilation! You have a new tripod. How is it compare with the Libec? Which is better? The Sachtler ACE M is expensive.

You do wonderful work! However, if I can suggest.. Don't feel you need to zoom in so close... Having some of the background in the shot gives a nicer perspective of what's going on. :)

I need one of these for Microsoft flight simulator 2020!!
Do they all have the same engines?
Im here early, WOW HAHA
Nice, congrats :)
777 likes lol
I just noticed the camera or sensor on the FEDEX 777's right below the windscreen...anybody know what it is? I noticed the other 777s didn't have it.
FedEx is the only airline to operate with HUD/EVS (Head's Up Display / Enhanced Vision System). Some carriers have HUD's in the newer aircraft but only FedEx installed the FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared cameras). This allows low visibility takeoffs as low as 300 FT RVR (500 without a HUD) and CAT 1 Precision and Non-Precision approaches down to 100'/1000' RVR. All FedEx aircraft received this ~ $1,000,000.00 option except the Airbus. Interesting note: when FedEx takes delivery of a brand-new 767-300F they remove the glass cockpit displays and replace them with the 787 LDS (Large Display System).
Did you know, Anchorage airport is not the name it is Steve Teds Intl Airport
Is this Moses lake?
Nice but the sound of an old DC 8 or 707 is much better
Who else came hear just to hear the engine
Question What type of camera do you use?
Panasonic VXF995
HD Melbourne Aviation How do you get such good camera quality and so steady with a a camcorder?
I'm surprised I didn't see this earlier, those 777s sound like loud hairdryers.
Good old Ted Steven's Intl.
Thats weird..that (0:20) FedEx 777F GE90 sounds like an A350 Trent XWB turbofan.
It sure did have a Trent XWB buzz to it. Very interesting!
Hey everyone let's put a mountain range at the end of the runway.
In fairness I think the mountains were there before the runway was 😜
How do you get so close
Will These Planes Flyover American Secondary Schools Colleges and Universities OUSD Job Training Centers DeFremery School Santa Fe School Recreational Centers For a Evacuation Drill? No or Yes, Not Until 2021 due to COVID
What camera do you use
I use a Panasonic VXF995
the triple 7 planes sound very cute when they takeoff. The other thing I find funny about them is when they scream like a girl.
The video is 7:77 long
Se-7 ...
Fedex Express
Where was the „roaring“ - just heard some high pitched whine?
Why all cargo planes??
Rehan K Anchorage is a huge cargo hub. Not many passenger carriers, if any, fly the 777
👍💘💎😔
Seven minute video....
Lots of 7’s haha!
The video is so stable i thought it was fake. Like from a flight sim.
