This podcast really hit home, I’m grateful you guys are raising awareness on being alert to your surroundings. I remember my first job being 16 and I got robbed at gunpoint and was chased out the store by the masked men. Legit had to jump a fence and slide under a car to hide. Sometimes they want more then what they intend to rob. Honestly the most terrifying experience, but since then I feel like I’ve probably saved myself from so much by being more aware. Love and light everyone, stay safe ❤️

This literally made me want to cry. It’s so sad to hear about that tree and even more the family that lost a husband and dad. This is why trees need to be inspected by professionals and taken care of. Oaks have so many restrictions to how they can be treated. My dad and brothers own a tree company (that my dad started since the 70s) and have told me about how important it is to take care of our trees so they grow to be big and healthy and these things don’t happen. Prayers for strength for that family 🤍🤍.

I worry about the same things Laura and Karen do. This world is just so crazy now. I feel kinda crazy sometimes but I’m always analyzing my surroundings. But it’s so true what Karen said; just within these last couple of years this feeling has crept up on me.
It’s very scary! & just to add to a story that happened to me so that other girls are aware. I know that we see on Insta and all that about people coming up to you in stores and saying “someone’s following you, do you want me to walk with you” (acting like they’re helping) & as nice as that is just beware that those could be the people following you. So go up to a store employee and ask them to walk you out. I had two women with a baby come up to me & my guard was definitely down. So don’t think it’s just men. It’s men, women, kids. Doesn’t matter. It’s not the scary looking people you gotta look out for it’s the people that look just like us. Dont trust anyone. This happened to me at a target and I never go anywhere alone anymore.
I totally agree with the ending. Ever since I went vegan 7 months ago I literally have 0 anxiety now. So much energy. I sleep 8 hours through the night EVERYTHING has changed.

I second everything that Karen talks about processed foods. I eliminated all processed foods and sugars and you just feel healthy physically and mentally. Loved this chat! We need a part 2!!

When Karen and Laura were talking about their love for cleaning/organizing and what they said about not even letting dust settle or anything like that, I felt that deeply lol. I am a clean freak! It’s almost a problem for me, because I have to have my house clean all the time lol & I am a mom to a 3 year old boy and a 1 year old girl lol. It’s almost impossible for me to keep my home clean, but somehow I manage & yeah lol. I relate so deeply! I clean pretty much my entire home everyday lol
Me too. Can't go to bed w out dishes, vacuum , all cabinets n counters wiped down n swifter n swifter mop the wood floors, spray the couches n pillows w freebreeze . I have to. Or can't sleep. I have to get my coffee n tea cup ready n set out . Or I ll feel like somrthjngs out of place. Ocd problems only ppl like us all can understand

Wow hearing this tragedy about this tree falling on this house and hilling this poor gentleman gave me goosebumps as well as I am dealing with something similar myself. I unexpectedly lost my Husband at 30 years old and we have three kids then I lost our home to a fire a few months after. So me and our three kids are having such a horrible time right now to say the least and not having anything except what we had on. I'm thankful my children and I are still alive and I feel so sorry for this Mother and child and the family and know how this feels all to well very unfortunately. My thoughts and prayers are with this family. 😭🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️

I wanted to comment on this specific podcast episode since something in it really spoke to me. Earlier this year (March 2021) I lost my father in law to a freak accident that involved a tree as well. He had been retired for at least 4 years and had cut down and built so many things out of the trees on their property and just one day he was cutting some down and it was really windy out and one of the trees behind him snapped and fell on him and killed him.. so as soon as you guys started talking about that tree in California I was immediately brought to tears just knowing the pain that family is going through. Me and my husband had at the time just recently gotten engaged and had been together 6 years. So he truly has been my father in law a lot longer than just officially since we’ve been married. I think the hardest part of it all was being out of town and having to travel down knowing you aren’t going for good reasons. We live in Huntsville and they live in Andalusia. If you are truly from Alabama you should know the small little town of Andalusia!
Anyways, I just wanted to comment! You may never see this, but it truly is so insane how crazy freak accidents are and how tragic they are and can be!
I have always been a fan of Laura since I found her on RUclips and found out she is from Alabama! (I’m a bama girl too) and then fell in Love with Manny given you are best friends and every time I watch or listen to you guys together it just feels like I’m hanging out with you guys and like your my best friends too!
