Matti, we wish you glad sommar! I think this is probably one of the best videos you have made yet. It really helped that the snow was so beautiful, there was some sun, and it wasn't too cold. My husband and I have been watching you and Stina for a while before we moved from Baltimore USA to Vasteras 2 months ago. We are still waiting on our camping gear in our goods shipment sitting in Gothenburg customs during the Swedish Holiday Season, and cannot wait to come up to Swedish Lapland to explore. Best wishes to you and the doggies!
Thanks! It's really difficult to choose music. Now I try to be less picky and choose some of the first melody that I find instead of choosing for ages. /Matti
That was a truly inspiring and enjoyable film. Makes me want to get out there more frequently too. Thanks for all the links too. Verkade vara jätteroligt. Fina hundar, trevlig sällskap! Bra val av kläder - gillar ocks6 Taiga!
Really great with a woodstove when using spruce because of sparks. I also think you should have the next size up of the stove with that fairly large tent. The tent looks really nice! Thanks for nice video,
Tack för att vi fick följa med på er vackra tur hemma i komforten av vår soffa! 👍 Väldigt sugen på att göra turen på riktigt. Har funderat på det ett tag. Det är på min önslista till tomten..... 😁
Thanks Matti & Stina for posting this video while the USA is suffering from record-breaking, soul-withering heat! Watching it makes me long for snow and cold again. I always learn something new and appreciate nature more when I view your excellent episodes. My husky watches too. Keep up the good work.
Sorry for your record-breaking heat... That's not good... 😞 I still have some more unedited material from the last winter. I will continue to edit that material. 😀 /Matti
Yikkessss! 120cm of snow didn't mean anything to me. 47" nearly 4 feet now made me realize in terms I understand just how much snow you encountered. I sure wouldn't want to post-hole in snow that deep. Incidentally, I'll be financially able to resume my monthly Patreon support effective 1 September. I read all the replies B4 watching your video. I envy your 4 guests, lucky lucky that you were available for this epic, real-life outdoor adventure. I'll be curious to learn if you liked or disliked your new sled. I'm anxious to see your new stove. Interesting to know that JimKnight-lr4if's huskies also watch your videos 7:46 - nicely furnished cabin 10:51 - Giving us the numbers of your age, 3 & 5, not necessarily in that order. Good one, Matti. 37:20 - Interesting tent & stove. The stove does seem awfully small. Thank you Matti, your videos are showing me a part of this planet I'd only read about. I enjoy every second of every video. HOT Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A where we are still trapped in an unrelenting heat wave during the day. At least it cools off at night. I open windows B4 going to bed & close them when I wake up the next morning.
The brand of the boxes is Zarges and I think the boxes are called euroboxes. We get the sleds with them on directly from our sledmaker "Skonk - sledworks" in Norway 😊. /Stina
Thanks Matti for the great video! I have a question regarding your tent, Gamme PC. Is the polycotton more resistant against fire flares from the chimney than a tent made of silpoly? Or do you got small burning holes even with the polycotton?
I’m planning to make a video about some different wood stove and hot tent. We got more planes than hour /day… ;-) In this big tent I will recommend a bigger stove. I started to use a winnerwell Fast fold with a nested pipe that was really good! /Matti
Cool to see. Love your vid. Real life. Just a pup. I got 15 on you. Keep going key to a long life having fun and interesting. Who or what organization owns the cabins? Wonderful location. Absolutely beautiful. I have a goal of traveling with you. Be safe in the summer runs. Wet a line.
@@JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA I kind of thought that may be the case. Some in Norway the same. Great safe havens and user practical. All fine if everyone does their part to take care and respect them. Beats sleeping in a blizzard. Hey good canoeing and fishing this summer. Be safe
I think he mentioned that they were a bit skinny and therefore did not have the same thick fur as the others. I don't know what was wrong with the male dog, but the female one wasn't eating properly apparently.
That’s correct. Sometimes it’s a skinny dog or someone with thin fur. It could also be an older one or someone who needs more attention. When you work with dogs like us, we make it week after week during the whole season. That’s demanding. If we can take care of them very good we avoid problems. It’s also our duty to them who makes everything for us. /Matti
Others might not get it but those dogs are living their best lives loving the snow.
The dogs really love to be with us. Sometimes in the snow but also sometimes in the sofa and watching Die Hard with Bruce Willis. 😀
/Matti
❤ Thank you so much for this really lovely video. I understand how your sled-dogs enjoy themselves and feel! XXX
First time on your channel and this was an awesome video! cheers from Canada!
❤️ Thank you!

Fantastic video which so reminds me of past times. ❤
It’s a feeling of ‘Jack London’ and all the stories from trappers in Canada when I use the polycotton tent and a wood stove… :-)

This was awesome, we love our Gamme 6PC, its an amazing tent. Great video my friend
That kind of tent is a very different winter camping experience!!!

Gillar att du är i rätt dalgång (tarra) 😊
Vi brukade ofta bo i Lindforskåtan i backen just ovanför Njunjes-gården. Längtar verkligen tillbaka dit.
It looks like a fantastic adventure.
Yes... it was. A real adventure with all the snow. 😀

Fantastic video, like a full movie 😁. Always look forward to your videos.
Thanks.

Nice expedition, you have a really good job. What is the make of the aluminium boxes you use, are they special to fit the sled? Thank you.

Hi Matti, why put you some dogs in the House and the other not. Because of there shorter fur? Or are they the younger one?
I think he mentioned that they were a bit skinny and therefore did not have the same thick fur as the others. I don't know what was wrong with the male dog, but the female one wasn't eating properly apparently.

Does he have to slurp his coffee like that?.
Yes I do! It’s easier to drink real hot coffee like that and it tastes better… ;-)

Yes.
