Dracula remembers what it was like to be human. D never has been able to be human. His perfection is also his tragedy. All that said, I am really not a fan of the books overall, lol. But D is a good character.

Actually landed a blow on the sacred ancestor and caused him to flee. This guy has fought and won against elder gods similar to the Cthulu mythos. - Killed the Destroyer who was a galaxy/universal threat. - Can wield the Akashi Records, allowing him to alter the known universe. -Transvered a dimension that was supposed to be infinite in distance to instantly attack the creator of it, this was suppsed to be impossible. Has killed vampires of every level, from regular, to the upper royalty that are over 10k years old. -Survived being attacked by psysic powers that could crush the minds of a population of city the size of New York when he was the only target.

Castlevania is my favorite vampire franchise and in my top 5 video games franchises as well. But I know even in fictitious terms D would beat Alucard or Dracula as he is vastly superior because the Hideyuki Kekuchi wrote him that way. There was nothing stopping Hitoshi Akamtsu from writing his characters with the same depth of power. The fact is Alucard and Dracula are limited in power because the Belmonts are the protagonists of that universe and D is the protagonist of his and it wouldn't have gone on as long as it has if D had his powers limited.

Vampire Hunter D was the first anime I ever watched back in 2002. I do wish we would’ve seen more from Dracula in Castlevania, he was off’d so early in the series. Kinda annoyed Nocturne is based off Syphor and Trevor’s kid (I’m guessing, if it’s not a prequel… I only watched the trailer).
Richter is their ancestor not son, nocturne happens 300 years after original. Also Nocturne is like 10 steps down from the original, visuals and sfx are ok, I like Bathory as the main enemy but rest of it is so bad I had to pause couple times because of how stupid narrative and dialogues are, 4/10 at best for me and it makes me so sad because I've been waiting for this for years/

Vampire Hunter D was the first anime I ever watched back in 2002. I do wish we would’ve seen more from Dracula in Castlevania, he was off’d so early in the series. Kinda annoyed Nocturne is based off Syphor and Trevor’s kid (I’m guessing, if it’s not a prequel… I only watched the trailer).

Richter is their ancestor not son, nocturne happens 300 years after original. Also Nocturne is like 10 steps down from the original, visuals and sfx are ok, I like Bathory as the main enemy but rest of it is so bad I had to pause couple times because of how stupid narrative and dialogues are, 4/10 at best for me and it makes me so sad because I've been waiting for this for years/

Technically, D is the “Dunpeal” son of both Vlad Tepes (“Count Dracula”) and Mina Harker (“the Fair”) from Bram Stoker’s novel.
Whatever powers he possessed circa the 1890’s had been far increased and perfected in the 10,000+ years since his resurrection.
The Nobility refer to him as “the Great Ancestor” and worship him as a literal god incarnate, but D can match him one-on-one and it is stated that they’d be forever locked in conflict with neither besting or defeating the other for good for all eternity.

D is actually the son of Alucard if you dig deep into Kawajiri's novels. The qualities of the Sacred Ancestor actually depicts Alucard more than Drac.
In an alternate reality, D is most probably going to be the grandson of Drac.
Which would imply that the D universe Dracula was ridiculously strong, given his blood line spawned someone like D

Actually isn’t D like the future version of Alucard himself? Come to think of it, D is a dampire, son of Vampire king and human woman and as we know he killed his own father (as Alucard did), and he is travelling and defeating vampires all over the world (as Alucard does)

If u compare in basis of how the anime is done then nothing will ever come even a mile near vampire hunter d bloodlust cuz it got that much insane details and artwork that even in today's era also i doubt anyone cn re-create it with that perfection an impossible task.
D is weaker.... if he doesn't have Countenanced Carbuncle in his left hand to suck elemental magic skill, curses and objects. D only survived his battle against Sacred Ancestor(the most ancient ruler of the Nobility) because of it.

..really feels like people don't remember that D is Dracula's child in his universe. I feel like it would be much more even, if not slightly in Dracula's favor. He's older, is a scholar, and has powers of the chaos realm at his beck and call. D is ridiculously strong, but it isn't this one-sided- just a bias.
Completely different universes, completely different Draculas. Castlevania Dracula is either 400-800+, D is 10,000+….
