I we would go to see Luke and the the boys ,at the Embankment,in Dublin..we could never tire of listening to his unique voice, God rest him. He left great memories.💐💐👏👏👏👏
Some of us were privileged to live and watch Luke and the Dubs throughout their careers. Astonishing does not do them justice as a group, amazing does not do Luke justice either. A unique set of guys their like will never be seen again. Thankfully I have laughed, cried and had the odd tiple with them. Halcyon days.
A magnificent song. Kelly, I've just discovered your channel and it brings back so many memories of that great singer. I saw him quite a few times in London, at the Cambridge Folk Festival, in Dublin and in West Australia and he would make your hair stand up when he sang this or "The Jail of Cluain Meala".The song reminds me of Heathcliff lying on Cathy's grave in "Wuthering Heights". Thanks again.
will we everer see the likes of him again i dont think so but thanks to kelly we can listen to that voice that can make us laugh and cry and wonder at what we missed
Hello Kelly, can you send me your email? I have a live album by the Dubs live at Carre in Amsterdam with the last public performance of Luke and an intro for the "new guy" it is from 1980... I want to mail you the mp3. Luke was lost in the red light district of Amsterdam called the zeedijk and said that was the reason why he was last on stage.
Brings a tear to the eyes of this 82 year man.
If I could see any singer in person I'd choose Luke Kelly.
When he sings, its like he stands beside my and I had only to move my head to see him.30 years today, its so hard to believe.

It's a beautiful song.
Thanks Kelly , very nice song : )
Great to hear this live performance - probably taken from a concert in the Netherlands. At the very end, Luke can be heard saying "Dankjewel".
In the beginning of the video he says 'This is probably the first time it's been played in Australia'. And at the end he is 'Raglan Road'.
Echtwaar!!
Pure Class!
Nada que decir: escucha y repite un millón de veces
