You learnt ablution. Have you learnt the fear of Allah?

الإيمان نور في القلب
ينشأ من صحبة أهل الإيمان ومحبتهم.
Faith is a light in the heart which results from
the company and love of the people of faith
وينشأ من عبادة الله القلبية
مع الجسد بصورة خاصة
دوام ذكر الله.
as well as the heartfelt and physical worship of God
especially through doing constant dhikr of God.
في القرآن ما في شيء الله أمر به
بكثرة وبتكرار وفي كل الأوقات
In the Quran, there is nothing that God commands frequently and repeatedly and at all times
متل ما أمر بكثرة ذكر الله.
as He commands the frequent dhikr of Allah.
الصلاة بدها عالم يعلمك الفقه
ويعلمك الركوع والسجود
If you want to learn how to pray, a scholar teaches you the rulings of prostration and kneeling down,
والأحكام والآداب
والشروط والواجبات.
الذكر كمان يا ابني فقه الذكر
the etiquettes, the conditions
and duties of the prayer
هاد شغلة جسدية
يتعلمها الإنسان بسرعة.
أما الشغلة الروحية
ما شغلة يتعلمها بسرعة.
which can be learnt quickly while dhikr
which is a spiritual thing can't be learnt quickly.
فقه القلوب فقه الإيمان
فقه القلب فقه الروح
فقه مخافة الله.
The same applies to gaining the knowledge of
the heart, faith, spirituality and the fear of Allah.
تعلمت مخافة الله؟
الوضوء تعلمته.
تعلمت مخافة الله؟
You have learnt how to perform ablution. Have you
learnt the fear of Allah and to be in awe of Him?
تعلمت خشية الله؟
تعلمت محبة الله؟
Have you learnt the love of Allah?
Have you learnt devotion to Allah?
تعلمت الإخلاص لله؟
تعلمت المسارعة إلى مرضاة الله؟
Have you learnt rushing to please Him?
تعلمت أن يكون الله ورسوله
أحب إليك من مرتك ومن ابنك
ومن مالك ومن
Have you learnt to love Allah and His Prophet
more than your parents, wife, children and money?
أبوك وابنك؟
هاد الإيمان يا ابني.
This is what faith is.
We need such faith to enter our hearts.
لذلك هاد الإيمان
Prophet Muhammad says:
إذا دخل في القلب
إذا دخل النور في القلب
"Faith is a light when it enters the heart,
it relaxes and opens up." God says:
انشرح له الصدر وانفسح.
"ألم نشرح لك صدرك"
Did We not soothe your heart (O Muhammad?)""
قالوا: ”هل لذلك من علامة
يا رسول الله؟”
Prophet Muhammad was asked if there
was a sign of faith entering the heart.
قال: ”التجافي عن دار الغرور"
قلبه يتعلق بالدار الأخرة.
He replied: "Disinclination
toward the deceptive world."
يشتغل بالدنيا بأعماله
بأمور الحياة
The heart is attached to the Hereafter although
the person is seemingly involved in worldly matters.
لكن قلبه معلق.
إذا كان واحد على موعد بالطائرة
For example, if someone has a flight
and a guest drops to visit him,
الساعة الواحدة وجاءه ضيف
وبدوا يجامله وحكاه
عم يحكي معه بلسانه
he speaks to him nicely while his mind
is preoccupied fully with his flight.
لكن قلبه وفكره وعقله وين؟
بالمطار والطائرة.
Similarly, Similarly, faith is disinclination towad the deceptive world,
كذلك الإيمان التجافي عن دار الغرور
ما يتجافى بجسده.
not with one's body which acts
according to the rulings of Islam
بجسده يعمل على حسب أحكام الشرع
أما قلبه متجافي
قلبه متعلق بالله
while the heart should be attached to God
and the everlasting and eternal destiny.
متعلق بمصيره الأبدي الخالد.
عرفان حاله الدنيا سجن المؤمن.
The believer knows that worldly life is his prison.
So, Prophet Muhammad says about faith:
"التجافي هن دار الغرور
والإنابة إلى دار الخلود"
"Disinclination toward the deceptive world,
inclination toward the everlasting abode
دار الخلود دار البقاء دار الأخرة
"والاستعداد للموت قبل نزول الموت."
and preparations for death
before the appointed hour."
كل الناس يخافون من الموت.
الموت لا يحوف.
الخوف عم يخافوا من ذنوبهم
All people fear death. Death isn't fearsome.
They should fear their sins.
وما لهم فهمانين.
لذلك يلي خفيف من الذنوب
ملآنة صحائفه بالأعمال الصالحة
Whoever is sinless and his records are chock-full
of good deeds always longs to meet God. God says:
دائما يشتاق إلى لقاء الله.
"قل يا أيها الذين هادوا
إن زعمتم أنكم أوليك لله
"Say (O Muhammad): 'O you who are Jews!
If you claim that you are the favored of Allah
من دون الناس فتمنوا الموت
إن كنتم صادقين."
apart from (all) mankind, then long
for death if you are truthful.'"
