- Skies of Arcadia continues, as we kick off our quest to track down the Moon Crystals, welcome Fina to the team, and hunt down the Angel of Death to challenge her to a fight. That last one may have been a mistake...
Skies of Arcadia is tragically completely unavailable to purchase on any currently existing store, and was also never released on PC. If you want to play it yourself, your options are the GameCube and Dreamcast versions, which were the only releases. Sorry.

The reason why Valua doesn't immediately go to pirat island again looking for you is, they think you couldn't possibly be stupid enough to hide in the one place the know you live.
To be fair, we're the ones who were dragging Drachma around the world, in his own ship, without asking his permission, after making him an enemy of Valua, and making him fight someone referred to as the "Angel of Death". I can't really blame him for being angry at us. It'd be nice if he talked to us about it before ditching us, but then, we didn't ask his opinion before doing whatever we wanted either, sooo...

@@ManyATrueNerd I would leave too after getting killed by the Angel of Death in a fight that not only did Vyse know was a possibility but his first thought on getting a warning that a bounty hunter was after him was to go seek her out himself

I still remember my first time playing this part of the game as a kid being completely dumbfounded that the game was just getting started, it felt like a long journey just getting to this point kinda like from the Shire to Rivendell only to be told oh no no you're only just getting started you're going all the way to Mordor.
I mean it makes perfect sense why Aika would have tall tales for each new nations' island. Pretty standard for sailors to exaggerate stories, and kids even more so. Growing up around pirates telling tall tales of distant lands was probably a huge part of her childhood. As for why this happens every time well probably because it's quite charming, especially with the illustrations.
That woman was much more specific than any old Greek Oracle.

(32:21) I knew Delta Shield would block your own spells, but I wasn't sure until Aika used it that the shield would "stick" to a downed companion.

Eterni and Risan have the same 50/50 accuracy. Eternum and Rislem have 100% accuracy though. I'm almost surprised you weren't aware of Risans imperfect accuracy, but you probably didn't need to use it very often haha. You were quite underleveled for that fight but you still pulled it off, very well done.
Man we need a re-release of this on STEAM..... Come on Sega, take my money!
37:29 Jon clearly someone in the art department of this game was having lots of fun making ilustrations, and their boss saw them and said WOW this art is amaizing we are adding it into to the game.

Soon as I saw the title of the episode, I thought, "oh boy, the Piastol fights and Jon's pretty under-leveled. This is going to be fun."
And yeah, Risan isn't a guaranteed rez. I think it's about a 50-50 shot of working. The improved version Riselem, meanwhile, does always work. Further, since she's now in the party properly I can let this out, Fina learns magic the fastest but especially Silver magic. Vyse, Aika and Fina kind of make up a classical adventurer class triumvirate with Vyse being the Fighter, Aika the Thief and Fina the Mage.
It clearly says the chances on the tooltip, you can even check these during the fight by pressing x

@@ard1choke He probably could use a refresher, for example incri is +25% dmg and resistance, he was a bit vague on the numbers in the past
I've never played Skies of Arcadia, but this really seems like a game that could do with a remaster. Just upgrade the models to be more 2020's (i.e. look more realistic), add voice acting, and Bob's your uncle.
"what does Drachma have to say about this?" I don't think his opinion matters anymore since, he is effectively a Blue Rouge under Vyse now.

Given how many tempest dance were cast in a row I'm guessing enemies can just use whatever moves they want. It looks like they don't use the same spirit points system as the player characters.
Do they run out of MP or have infinite of that too?
Ha! There's a particular battle later on where the enemy uses the same super move about ten times in a row!
Enemies have infinite resources. They use a probability system of moves they select, and it shifts as their health gets lower.
Here's an Idea for a drinking game; Anytime Jon says 'yes' & 'cocking' take a shot ^-^

I'm honestly surprised Drachma went along with Vyse's shenanigans for as long as he did
I would however say that max power Cupil with all the Chams in the game is pretty overpowered. Of course, by that point, you can really make anyone overpowered via a late ingame shop, so..
EDIT: Risan can miss. Not sure what the percentage chance is. The spell that's an upgrade to Risan doesn't.
Can Piastol even be petrified? Iirc a lot, if not most bosses are immune from most status effects. Though the game never tells you that.
41 minutes in, the first few steps inside Maramba with the wandering dino creature... it strongly reminds me of Mos Esley in the Star Wars special edition...

Pretty much all of my Legends boss fights had Aika continually casting Delta Shield, and Fina mostly blocking so she could actually survive getting hit. Moons bless healing crystals, that's all I can say.

Those bloody Chams. One of them was locked behind Pinta's Quest. Which sucked if you couldn't get the VMU game to work properly like me, so you were always one Cham short for Cupil's final form.

Question: How much difference do the different dialogue choices in the game really make? Do they just occasionally result in different tactical situations or do they also influecen the plot?
It’s been a while since I last played so may get some thing wrong.
Biggest thing is a reputation system that relies on you picking the most blue rogue options, this can impact your name.
A few secondary crew members get made available via the choice options.
When you get to some of the major fights you can choose tactical options in how to fight or flee, these can impact battle strategies and story progression.

Flame mantle is not a bug, or at least if it is, then its across all versions of the game and all copies, all articles and wiki info i can find state its a mens armour, not female.

Sorry Jon that fight with Piastol was on you. Having Fina even try and attack at that level was never gonna work. Would have been better off using items or even just focusing instead.
