Today's mission is to get good authentic St.Louis BBQ and I think I found the place.. This BBQ spot has been on Andrew Zimmern's T.V show as you guys know I love me some good BBQ and I love watching food shows. MY favorite Food travel show was Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain my he rest in peace. As you guys my know we lost him to suicide. I was heartbroken when I found this out another great life gone to soon. Well I made it to my new favorite spot in east St.Louis where you look over the great Mississippi river downtown St.Louis and of course the beautiful arch.. Hope you guys enjoy God Bless..

Hey, Jorge, fairly new subscriber here. I’ve been watching your videos for a little while now, and finally subscribed. Just wanted to Comment on this video. I’m a former Houstonian myself, born and raised there. I lived in the Aldine area, and I’m sure you know where that is. Now, I’m an old fart, and I live in the DFW area. Been here since 1969. Anyway, I just want to thank you for your clean videos, and the Christian example you show in your videos. I especially want to tell you how much I appreciate you showing in your video, yourself praying before you ate that delicious-looking BBQ. Not many truckers show that in their videos. JBG (JBG Travels) is the only other one who prays before he eats. Anyway, I appreciate the example you set for all those who watch your videos, that Christ is the only way to Heaven. I thank you for showing your care for our veterans (I’m a veteran myself), for our First Responders, and for those who are down and depressed. Thank you for the message you give to those who are down and depressed, which shows that you care about them. I just want to say, God Bless you, My Christian Friend and fellow Brother-In-Christ. May God protect you as you drive, and keep you safe. May God Bless and protect your family, when you are away from them. Stay safe, My Friend, and God Bless.

My dad & uncle would eat bbq snoot sandwiches in ST. Louis when visiting our folks when they was younger.

Made me homesick, 40 years ago a I worked 2 different factory jobs in this area, one across the street from where the BBQ place is, saw it as you were turning around, and another about two blocks away that burnt down a long time ago. A lot of great buildings and architecture that's been torn down or is rotting away. St. Louis has food you can't find anywhere else.
NASCAR truck series still races there , but we mainly drag and drift there, one thing I recommend if you layover there when it opens check out the go karts there

It’s awesome to fight fire as a lineman or crew Chief....however, if your the Incident Commander and have to make decisions on whether or not to risk lives to fight the fire-totally different ball game! Hope all those guys/gals are safe who responded.

Hey Jorge. If your ever in Chicago there's a really Good BBQ joint here, Number 1 top 5 bbq restaurants in all the Chi. It's just south of the 90 Kennedy Expy at 3800 N Pulaski Rd. Smoque BBQ.
I don't care for Smoque too much, it was kind of dry. There's a better place on west Foster, don't remember what it's called. I've been to a few places on the South Side that were pretty good, near Comiskey Park.
@@jonmolina948 I'll agree their was a time I got something from Smoqued and it was just a tiny lil dry, but most of the time, they're Amazing! You dont even need the sause when it comes to the ribs, that's how good they are at least to me.

Man Jorge, that bbq looked awsome. I remember I parked at that pilot. I took a cab because they didn't have uber/lift at the time. So I took a cab across the river and attended a Cardnails and Phillies game. #GOODTIMES

When I was OTR we had a drop yard right behind that Pilot.. They used to have some NASCAR racers going on over there along with some other racers... Definitely not a place you wanna park for your 10 during the summer unless your a heavy sleeper 😂😂😂

You're going to be saddened thinking Midwest BBQ can stand up to Texas BBQ. You get lucky sometimes, but not often.
Its hard to say anything is better than what we got at home but it was good in its own right.. I enjoyed it But better than Texas BBQ noooo way..lol..

Once you start driving through St. Louis and down like OKLAHOMA, Arkansas, or Texas the BBQ they have anywhere even gas stations is better than the fanciest BBQ spots we have in Michigan or Ohio, BBQ sucks up here
