Exactly, not everyone is a district attorney who enters a store and assaulted the way this young lady was humiliate in this video. If she would've announced who she was in the beginning I am sure they would've stopped right now and then, but this woman played along to see how far would they go with their little racial game. Unfortunately not all situations like this one have a such breath taking ending. I have been racially assaulted many times by groups of people, I am not a district attorney to have such a overwhelming end. I just learned how to live with it. While this is not a story about a high end establishment, my daughter has faced similar harrassment while shopping. She is biracial and has an aura that makes people notice her. She went to Walmart last night, with her phone only. No purse, dressed in skinny jeans and a tshirt. Immediately followed by a "loss prevention" employee throughout the store. (typical) What this employee didn't notice, because he was so sure that my daughter was going to steal something, was another customer following the employee. After my daughter got the 1 thing she came for and started toward the cashier, the other customer jumped in between the employee and my daughter, shouting "Racial Profiling! This is Racial Profiling, because while you were busy tailing this young POC, who stole nothing, I stole this and this and this...right under your nose! Walmart is racist!" He then paid for my daughter's item. This was a white man, early 40's, nothing that stood out about him. But he's a hero in my book. 🤗 ^long, I know. Sorry

Story Time: Something similar happened to me at 9 years old. We went to store owned by minorities, they were Hispanic and we spent time searching for a dress for my 5th grade graduation. After some time, the store manager comes to me and accuses me of trying to steal and hiding something in my clothes and forced me to strip off my clothes. Mind you I was 9 years old and she created a scene and there weee men also staring at me. I started crying outta fear. I was petrified. My mom exchanged her words to the employees and hackles them that what they were doing was inhumane. Because of my skin and despite my age and stature, you have the gall to accuse a child. I will never forget that day. And no I didn’t strip nothing. My mom wasn’t having it especially after they threatened and attempted to call police. It was indeed traumatizing. Nevertheless, I can empathize to this character a great deal and really wish someone was there aside from my mom to stick up for us. Ppl really need God like are you mad?? A child?? My skin color???

I had an incident..Where I am of Polynesian.. ethnicity..I am fair..Buty Children are of a darker complexion.. One day ..I went into a department store. Was going to buy a Stroller for my grandson...as I had just gotten paid my holiday pay...and last wages... from my old job..as I was starting a new job..My daughter went to find the pram stroller..that had told her about.. she got approached by a Shop Assistant..who was very ride..her racist overtones were very despicable and rude..As this store is an upmarket type..the shop assistant rudely pulled the stroller away from my daughter.. telling her it might not be with in range of her affordability...WTH..I thought....i waited for what else might happen...my daughter was told to leave the store..like trespassed...I intervened..asto why was she being treated this way..If I could have..I would have slapped backhanded this woman..but kept control...I then grabbed the Stroller..took it to the Counter..of then the Assistant..was all oohs and aahs...oh that lucky child...I paid for the stroller..to my daughter right in front of the assistant..to put her Son in the Stroller..to the surprise of the assistant..do you know this lady. .yes I said..she's my daughter..I will be.laying a Complaint..I have it all on my phone... We live in a world where discrimination and racism happen almost daily. Most of the times, people would assume that you are a no goods based out of skin color, religion or where you are from. But that type of thinking would only create conflict towards one another you should get to know the person before you accuse them of wrongdoing or got her actual proof of them committing any wrongdoing before jumping into action

Yes, they should be, problem is people like that get pleasure out of what they do and if listened to they can weisel their way out of pretty much anything. I think she LET them do the strip search on her and endured the humiliation of them seeing her naked (or in her underwear, it was not shown) even though she could have avoided it by going to the police station or telling them who she was and I think she submitted to the strip search because she knew that making her strip in front of them was a serious crime (and I think a sex crime?) and she wanted them to fully have to face those charges. She sacrificed her dignity to add some years to their sentences and maybe sex crime charges. That shows how much she HATED them and how badly she wanted to see them punished.

If she would've announced who she was in the beginning I am sure they would've stopped right now and then, but this woman played along to see how far would they go with their little racial game. I have been racially assaulted many times by groups of people, I am not a district attorney to have such a overwhelming end. I just learned how to live with it. While this is not a story about a high end establishment, my daughter has faced similar harrassment while shopping. She is biracial and has an aura that makes people notice her. She went to Walmart last night, with her phone only. No purse, dressed in skinny jeans and a tshirt. Immediately followed by a "loss prevention" employee throughout the store. (typical)
What this employee didn't notice, because he was so sure that my daughter was going to steal something, was another customer following the employee. After my daughter got the 1 thing she came for and started toward the cashier, the other customer jumped in between the employee and my daughter, shouting "Racial Profiling! This is Racial Profiling, because while you were busy tailing this young POC, who stole nothing, I stole this and this and this...right under your nose! Walmart is racist!" He then paid for my daughter's item. This was a white man, early 40's, nothing that stood out about him. But he's a hero in my book. 🤗

Right from the beginning, she argued about the injustice. She tried to complain to the authority right above, but with each escalation of power, the injustice exacerbated. That's symbolic : those with more power can be more tyrannical, despotic. In the end.. She not only broke that chain by being the higher power, but by changing the role of power from someone who merely punishes others (even if without any reason) to someone who is accountable for making others take responsibility for their actions.
She needed to do this.

Story Time:
Something similar happened to me at 9 years old. We went to store owned by minorities, they were Hispanic and we spent time searching for a dress for my 5th grade graduation. After some time, the store manager comes to me and accuses me of trying to steal and hiding something in my clothes and forced me to strip off my clothes. Mind you I was 9 years old and she created a scene and there weee men also staring at me. I started crying outta fear. I was petrified. My mom exchanged her words to the employees and hackles them that what they were doing was inhumane. Because of my skin and despite my age and stature, you have the gall to accuse a child. I will never forget that day. And no I didn’t strip nothing. My mom wasn’t having it especially after they threatened and attempted to call police. It was indeed traumatizing. Nevertheless, I can empathize to this character a great deal and really wish someone was there aside from my mom to stick up for us. Ppl really need God like are you mad?? A child?? My skin color???

Was going to buy a Stroller for my grandson...as I had just gotten paid my holiday pay...and last wages... from my old job..as I was starting a new job..My daughter went to find the pram stroller..that had told her about.. she got approached by a Shop Assistant..who was very ride..her racist overtones were very despicable and rude..As this store is an upmarket type..the shop assistant rudely pulled the stroller away from my daughter.. telling her it might not be with in range of her affordability...WTH..I thought....i waited for what else might happen...my daughter was told to leave the store..like trespassed...I intervened..asto why was she being treated this way..If I could have..I would have slapped backhanded this woman..but kept control...I then grabbed the Stroller..took it to the Counter..of then the Assistant..was all oohs and aahs...oh that lucky child...I paid for the stroller..to my daughter right in front of the assistant..to put her Son in the Stroller..to the surprise of the assistant..do you know this lady.

When I was a teen (in the 70's), we had stores downtown where attendants would follow shoppers around the store; watching us. I never could stay in there long because, I'd feel so uncomfortable. If I was Iris, I would have never entered that store.

I think she LET them do the strip search on her and endured the humiliation of them seeing her naked (or in her underwear, it was not shown) even though she could have avoided it by going to the police station or telling them who she was and I think she submitted to the strip search because she knew that making her strip in front of them was a serious crime (and I think a sex crime?) and she wanted them to fully have to face those charges. She sacrificed her dignity to add some years to their sentences and maybe sex crime charges. That shows how much she HATED them and how badly she wanted to see them punished.
