I know right. If you suspect or witness a friend, family member and/or neighbor being abused by their spouse, talk. Share with your friend, family member and/or neighbor that you have noticed their spouse's abusive behavior. Remind them that physical and/or emotional abuse is not okay. Encourage. Let your friend, family member and/or neighbor share what is happening without interrupting. Stay calm and don't overreact. Tell your friend, family member and/or neighbor that they do not deserve to be mistreated and you are there to help them through this. Tell. Your friend, family member and/or neighbor may be afraid or not want your help. However, your friend, family member and/or neighbor is in a very dangerous situation. Do not ignore this situation. Report it to the police immediately so your friend, family member and/or neighbor can get the support and protection they need. If your friend, family member and/or neighbor is in immediate danger, call 911! National Domestic Violence Hotline - Call: 1-800-799-7233 or TTY 1-800-787-3224.

It is shocking that the wife of the Police Officer should be at the receiving end of domestic violence for such a long time. She must have tried to escape or bring her condition to the notice of her neighbours hoping of course they would come to her rescue... Women should be strong and courageous. It is heartening to note that some women are not only conscious of the factum of domestic violence but are bold enough to intervene to help the victims. We, as humans, have a very long way to treat half of humankind with respect, love and dignity they deserve. We, as humans, have a long way to go to become human beings!

U know there was a lady in our locality she used to torture her husband mentally and used to hit her son in absence of her husband one day she pushed her husband from the stairs killing him then when the authorities asked how did it happen she told them her 11 years old son pushed him for fun he didn't realize he would die the boy was so scared he didn't even tell them the truth the mother abused the kid after his death then one day her son went missing .His grandma was really worried they searched everywhere still couldn't find him may be a few months later the police found out that the mother poisoned him cut him into pieces and threw his body into the chamber hence he was never found it was so shocking and still cant believe she lived in the same locality as we did .. I was a kid back but it is still a horrible memory of my childhood

I have often wondered why the name Karen is used the way it is, in comments, stories, TV, etc. I have wonderful friends & kin that are named Karen. I’d think it was insult, if my name was Karen & used this way..& it is to them. It is their birth name.

This is an important issue of our time, spousal abuse -- domestic violence. Istan Rozumny effectively portrays the abuser. The actor that plays the neighbor was equal in her role and shows that caring people can make a difference. '...such helpful people are as rare as diamond." Great video1

I cried watching thing. I was a victim of domestic violence from the person who I trusted and was going to marry. He made my life hell and it scarred me badly. However, I had to squeezed out whatever strength left in me to finally fight back and stop that hell. No one really helped me, I only got the support when it ended as even my own family was blind about it. Anyway, please help anyone in any way if you know or sense if they are in danger. It can happen to anyone, regardless of their gender, age or status.
