I am interested. Won't the cards still be sleeved though? I was thinking that maybe some harder material for cards, be it sustainable or not by itself, would be better for the environment in the long run than the cards we see normally. If it can remove the need to sleeve.
From what I've read it seems as though the sustainability practices Earthborne Games are referring to are in regards to raw material sourcing, manufacturing, and shipping. This seems to indicate they want to use materials that have been sourced in a more sustainable way and produce the game in a factory that is more environmentally friendly. Hopefully more information on this will be made available over the next few weeks and when the Kickstarter launches sometime this summer. I recommend signing up for their email updates if you are interested in the game. Andrew periodically sends out emails about the company and the game and goes into a bit more detail on certain things.
@@thecardsmiths1262 I think it's a cool initiative! The card sleeve problem is one I've had in my head a while now. I am wondering if there exists a material we could use for cards that would make sleeving them to preserve them unnecessary. My post sounded more like some kind of criticism than I intended. Thank you for the detailed reply. I love AH a lot so I will definitely check this one out.
It is! That's an interesting point about card sleeves, I wonder if something like that is possible. No worries at all, I didn't take your post that way, it's a good point you brought up! Arkham is very fun, nice to have some co-operative options for games. Can't wait for the Earthborne Rangers Kickstarter to launch on July 27th. Looking forward to finding out more about the game and excited to support Andrew and his vision.
Andrew Navaro is involved and it is co-op. This bodes well. Definitely going to keep an eye on this.
Likewise. Signed up for the updates and have already received two emails.
