For all of you out there who don't know, the Korean War isn't over. It is still going on, all there is right now is an uneasy Truce/Ceasefire. No settlement was ever reached and so the Korean war still goes on even to this day. It is now currently the second longest war in history behind the Hundred Years War which lasted 116 years. The Second Punic wars have been bumped down from that spot, having lasted 43 years. You can read that the whole thing was ended back in 1953 but however nothing has been finalized and because of that the war continues on. June 25th will mark the 64th year of conflict.
Dont be a warmonger! With this definition WW1 would have ended in 1989 when the wall of Berlin fell since the aggression was still there after 1918 until the 1945s and then with the start of the cold war (war is just metaphorical) until the end People with this mindset are just restarting wars like Hitler did
I've seen a half dozen videos when N. Korean soldiers approach the border in the same fashion and take photos, one at a time along the border. I don't think this had anything to do with Un's death. Instead I think it was a social visit just as the tourists on the South were doing.
+Mike B I heard that the tourist are encouraged not to wear torn clothes (like those jeans that a ripped) because north korea will take pictures of them and use it for propaganda and say that Americans cant afford decent clothes.
I read a comment in another video that those north guard are taking picture as souvenir because they're about to get discharge and not all tour guide or MP's know about this since the South Korean mandatory service is only 2 years while the North Korean one up to 10 years. So the north guard watch the south guard come and go while the south guard always saw the same guard until he was discharge,so obviously they wouldn't know what's happening
In all likelihood the other North Korean troops would pull him back and he'd end up in a prison camp for the rest of his life for his slip-up. The South Korean troops would likely do little to stop that but if the North Korean was alone they would probably allow him to defect but that's why they are always on duty in pairs (They used to hold hands when opening the door to those rooms too unless someone pulled them inside). All that said I don't think a defection has ever happened at this point on the DMZ, I could be wrong though
Lmao SK gets NK defectors in prison camps until they renounce to their NK citizenship. They stay in SK, but they have to study about SK society and are denied to come back to the north. They're also controlled by the authorities all the time.
@@jimmyinsanity ROK does not recognize the NK government as legitimate and considers all of them citizens of one Korea, just like the PRC-ROC issue. @ShadowValentine Hi there. There are LOTS of tours of the DMZ - however - if you want the best tour (the one we took) then you need to take the USO tour.
