I’m still confused about simple and facilitated diffusion difference what I learned is in simple diffusion there is no transmembrane protein requirement it’s simple pm.

Why does this textbook claim that transport through channels is simple diffusion?
The overwhelming majority internet searches claim transport through any plasma membrane proteins counts as facilitated diffusion. In addition, the kinetics graphs of channels look similar to the carrier-mediated curves (just with steeper slopes), not simple diffusion curves. The channel-mediated transport graphs show they can reach v max.
