Having accidentally come across an interview of your father in law Mr.Tom Alter and to hear and see speak exceptional Urdu was totally taken aback somewhat at this amazing person. That was few days ago and since looked up his family background. I have now learnt such a lot regarding his family and it has certainly enriched my life. I was born in Lahore and came to England when I was 18 years old. My father was a doctor and was quite contented to live in Lahore and so was my mother. Married to an English girl for 50 years I am very happy with my life. Age now 74 years.
Yes, I noticed that, even though it was very subtle. But, I also noticed a certain respectful attitude on the part of Jamie towards Meha, 'unlike most Indian husbands'. That was very nice. And looking at that family picture, with all three in smiles, I thought, beta, too ab pakkee hindusthanee ban gayaa. I paused the video on that frame and kept looking at it, soaking in their happiness, feeling happy myself. I wish them a long, happy married life. Jamie, sochna mat; Meha, don't worry, be happy.
