If you're talking about character animation, then watch videos about breakdowns and interpolation. I mean you should add additional poses that define how character moves from pose to pose. Also your interpolation is probably set to step(constant), If you're in 3d software. If you're talking about the model, mesh itself you probably should merge some vertices.
