- Today we take a look at RS Components Ltd, Walsingham Dr, Nuneaton CV10 7RS.
We start at the HGV Entrance and then end up at the Visitors entrance where we are told we are not allowed to film by security.
The manager then comes out and says we are not allowed to fly the drone.
We eventually agree that all is allowed and we carry on.

That manager was sound. I'd be more than happy to work alongside him and his team.
Another itiot security guard who thinks they know the law and feels it's nessasary to leave the property to engage with a member of the oublic who's on public property.
The manager was quite reasonable and wanted to learn, as well as clarify the car park issue. He gets top marks. The female security guard needs the training. Well done DJ, nicely done. 👍
Her arse is on fire
Disagree. He wasn't aggressive or tried to stamp his authority. But he didn't use his brain and kept to the training script about no photography being allowed, not even to record evidence of a purchase. And he knew nothing about drones, not even his own drone.
You are the same as him then Ste T. An idiot
@@ianthomas1060 I’m sorry Ian, I wasn’t aware people were looking for a full critique of the output. I shall take on board your comments and try to do better next time! 😉😄
@@TheSadButMadLadproblem with
Manager was spot on from initial contact to the end of conversation. Nice to see.
Security wasn't too bad and hopefully has re-learned what she had forgotten.
you are right, nice manager. DJ is becoming a bit of a nitpick lately. Maybe the views are bit behind.
Security was thick, fat and an accent to boot. Can't re-learn people like her. She can't even walk, never mind a simple job like security. 5:44 Even own staff can't stand her lol
Yea. DJ went a bit weird on this one. Guy was nice and friendly.
Really? Everyone seems to be licking the manager’s boots, but I strongly suspect his first task after the meeting was to pass DJ’s details to the legal team with a request for them to get this video taken down.
Watch this space.
And the imported female security operative was just a typical ill informed, poorly trained nappy filling dictatorial, petty tyrant.
He's defensive in all of his videos.
The manager was a people person, quietly speaking and willing to listen, a rare commodity these days., the security like so many other similar positions, do their training in a short period and then left to what they personally think is common sense, which more times than not, is wrong, nice one DJ :)
Decent manager. Shame about security
"You're allowed to film it whilst it's on fire, so I'm filming it whilst it's not on fire"
Dunno why, but the shear plain logic of that made me laugh a little
least the tyrant did not set it on fire to prevent DJ filming it .
Lol 😆😂
@@EvenBigger-Brother aw, have you got a ickle-wickle victim complex there, kitten? Are the people trying to bring you down? Poor baby, maybe get a job or learn to cope.
What a great guy, extremely professional and articulate. Loads of bicycles in and out.
@@mostpplarezombies I reckon the guy was ok, just made too many excuses for the crap security person as they all do. WHY, they are paying for the crap?
@@mostpplarezombies did we watch the same video? how was he awful, I would say he was spot on, rarely see professionalism like this anymore .
Hayden Seargent. Well done Sir. Thats the way you interact with members of the public. You even got a DJ Audits keyring!!! (Like gold dust)
That's how you conduct yourself when representing a company. Very good manager .
Im a customer of this company and for a few minutes i thought I would have to stop using them…..fortunately the facilities manager saved the day. Phew! Well done him. And well done again DJ for your free training.❤
I remember back in the day pre-internet when the printed catalogue had about 50 pages!
Agree with other comments. The manager was a very reasonable person and listened and learned. Whereas the security guard as usual didn’t and believed she was in the right. As others say she needs to be told and trained regarding her responses. As always DJ a good video. Thank you.
This is such a good example of how people automatically assume what you can and can’t do!
It's an even better example of a fucking waste of good peoples time for the entertainment of internet dweebs and their victim mentalities.
facilities guy was professional, the security not properly trained , not particularly prepared to be educated , even by the facilities manager , hopefully by talking to his contractor he can DEMAND retraining , or replacement of the woman with a properly trained professional that they are entitled to when they employed that security firm .
Auditors have been around for long enough now and there is no excuse for these security firms not to be aware of photographers rights , tresspass laws etc. and train their staff properly .
That's what gets me about them, they think they know the law and don't want to be told what the law is.
Security are there to stop people from stealing, thats all they really care about. 99% of security aren't expecting some random guy to walk around their property recording everything. Its not normal.
The manager was a nice guy, looks like a good company to work for, he didn't belittle the security lady on film either. Top fella
The manager is certainly a decent guy. Very professional. Should be CEO
Facilities Manager seems a decent bloke. Happy to listen and take on board what you say rather than being argumentative and kicking off. A calm demeanour really helps.
The manager was extremely polite, informative and very professional a great asset to his company, great to see.
I hope RS see what a good job the manager did
they do
They did it already. It was announced about how he handle the situation.
Good engagement and interaction with manager.
What needs to be taken on board is that security no matter if they are hired in from a separate company or not, they are this company's 'front line' and initial contact and communication with the public. So it needs to be effective and also be singing from the same 'hymn book' in respect of their training and the law as it stands on photography/filming in public.
I have bought all manner of productts from RS in the past - thus this video was most interesting for me - that reinforces that your work is useful advertising, as well as general interest. RS please take notice. ***** all round!!
I bought some components from Radio Spares many years ago, a good company to deal with :)
Every time I head out from my place in Vancouver BC to get a keyring I never seem to make it in time. I guess I will have to try a bit harder.😀 Keep up the great work.
I'll be honest, I never knew what RS Components did until I saw this video. Will be checking out their site as I'm pretty sure I could use them. Good interaction from the gentleman. The female security officer wasn't too bad. Great video, DJ. Thanks
The manager guy did a brilliant job. Hopefully he does follow through on making sure that the security is aware of the public's rights.
DJ........ "Why are you trying to filming?" That's the real question
Are you the security in video, you speak same pigeon English 😂
He films because he can
@@AD-53 it was a direct quote from the security guard as a joke... Hence the quotation marks, clearly went over your head 😂
@@olie3146 joke don't give up the day job 🤣
@@AD-53 clearly wasn't seeing as you answered with "he films because he can" but nice try treacle 😉
Why you being racist
DJ - A little request that might provide a little insight into the minds of the people who make silly requests.
Some of the people who you speak to seem to respect you after you've shown them the law, or at least explained it to them in a clam manner.
Can you just ask them after they understand you can do it (mostly drone flying), why or what gave them the assumption that you couldn't fly.
I know some of them give excuses like privacy, but what gave them the idea that they had privacy in public or indeed, being seen from public? There seems to be a deeper issue than just people being idiots as some, like the manger here was very accepting and actually knew when you refreshed his memory.
Was it the news making it seem drones are bad during the airport fiasco, or is management really telling them no recording on site, to the point they'll lose their job and scaring them senseless? Interesting to see what their thoughts are. Maybe we can tackle the issue differently if we find out why
Well you were "certainly on fire with yet another blazing audit"!!!
Radio Spares Components are the best! Good to see the facilities manager being professional!
Yet more uneducated security! Very good interadtion with the Manager, helpfully answering your question. I do hope you will be offering any footage free if required as a reward. Unfortunately for the company if you are allowed access regardless of the reason they cannot stop you filming, only revoke access. So yes you can take evidentual video of you purchase collection.
Top manager! 😉👌🏼💙
Your job begins and ends at the gate, full stop.
Blimey looks like TC Security will take on literally anyone, gives hope for all of us I guess.
The ignorance of these people is astounding.
What people ?
10 quid an hour doesn't buy you Einstein IQ staff!
@@Roger-hq1yt that’s partly the reason for sure.
But poor training also.
And there should be ongoing training but there’s none.
@@christopherwhittaker2620 Clueless security guards!
@@Crow_Friend ok
Top manager this man unlike many others.
Do these security people receive any training whatsoever ??
they are told to sit in a classroom for a few hours, she probably did not understand most of it So no the training is very lacking , but still they think they have the right to tell the public what to do. Amazing
Security guards dont tend to be intelligent people.
From which ever Communist country they came from,by the looks.
Obviously NO
They pass all course takers even if they don't understand a word of what was taught unfortunately.
That site manager was perfect. 10/10. Great at listening. Thanks for being cool. If only all site managers were like you..
😆 4:57
I love your approach to the SIA badge DJ!
Surely security is there so the manager doesn't have to come down, they are usually too busy to deal with things like this
Manager Busy? In what world. They're overpaid babysitters who often don't do half the job of the employees hahahaahha
But I get you, fair point. Incapable security
top class u got it down with this audit. keep it up.
RS components are a brilliant company with an amazing range of products. The sales team are really helpful.
Manager a great bloke👌
DJ.
The manager was exactly right to pass on his advice and the things you highlighted to the security guards bosses. Because they are the ones responsible for the guards training and despite what you say the training is poor and doesn’t get security guards ready to deal with issues they may face like public photography.
Hi dj, respect for the management he wants to listen, great guy,,, security team require re-education,,,,,, another great audit 😮
The "on fire" example is brilliant.
She can have a pink dummy!! Well.....whatever colour she likes!!. Well played DJ dodged a bullet there 🤣 Keep up the good work
Excellent, what a very professional manager and nice person.
That manager stands out. He dose a great job as per the videvidence.
I think I just envented a new word.
Fantastic site manager!!! Gold.
I used to work there back in 2005!
I don't think he liked it, but he was very professional!!!
The manager knew how to manage people, and that was refreshing to see. Well done, Sir
great work DJ - well handled.
I worked with someone years ago who used to deliver goods there (rs was the biggest customer at one time) and always wondered what it looked like.
Good job that guy. I wonder if he knows how rare his reaction is. How rare it is to be willing to listen and learn in good faith.
This is a business I would not be otherwise interested in…but after the hurdle of the uneducated/delinquent security guard, the very helpful Site Manager answered your questions. A+ Site Manager ✅
Manager was top class good on you sir well done 🔝🙏👌
The facilities manager was a credit and was so willing to listen and help 👏👏👏
She say's 'She doesn't think' .... says it all really 😇
He was professional DJ, he just didn’t rise to your antics, he had some reasonable answers, calm cool is the way forward to the audit gang, especially the audit muppets you joined up with a while ago
They used have an amazing catalogue that I loved flicking through
yay
🤣🤣I love the 'on fire' line DJ.
Hilarious, thanks for a great laugh!
I love the “on fire” argument 👍
Something missing in the training when I did the doorkeepers course went on duty our badge had to be displayed and that applies all the way up the chain. So you can understand the reason why the auditors have fun with the security guards who make up the law as it goes along
These people need serious education, once again
In the end is yet another failure by the SIA , they really are acting like a cowboy outfit , there is so much publicity out there highlighting their failure to properly train these people who interact with the public, so they should have upped their game a long time ago .
It appears that they are FAR more interested in pushing through as many candidates as possible and collecting the money , rather than investing the time to properly train and prepare them to do a competent and professional job . Ultimately, I suppose there must be some one responsible to ensure SIA do ( at least) a competent job, but for now that is just NOT happening .
Good audit. Very professional manager would tell me its a good place to work.
Security will be sorted?
👍👍👍😋😋
Well done Hayden Sargent setting an example to be followed. All round nice guy showing true professionalism!
Nice one dj no dummies today .👌👌
I'm a avide watcher of your videos P J,
I've reasently taken the online drone test, one part mentions FPV ( flying using first person view, )
I've noticed you do commentary while frooom aboove.
Have you ever been pulled up on this.
Thanks for the continued entertainment.
Good manager. Not often we get to say that.
So that’s where RS Components are based. Used them for parts for my electronic lockdown projects. 🎉
A1 company I have used them for years! Well done RS
That's a good manager. Very professional but yet approachable and friendly.
Now thats a good manager, excellent people skills. Security issues seem to be more thr fault of the SIA. I wonder if they are all really trained, Back when i worked on site our boss used to buy us dodgy CSR cards and scissor lift licences, saved himself thousands and we were never pulled up on them.
Site manager was a top man 👍
You should go to the source, SIA office, if they have somewhere you can film from outside and see how they get on!
Facilities manager was very good, quiet, professional, and willing to listen.
Great company to deal with, been using them for many years
manager seemed a reasonable chap. security as usless as usual.
manager is an asset to the company, very proffesional, well spoken, happy to listen, well done,
shame about the clueless security again,
as someone who works in security and prides myself on being proffesional, non confrontational an fairly educated in most areas of criminal law i feel embaressed to be part of the industry when i see brainless idiots working in the job.
That manager was great. I hope he will educate security too.
They must hand out those SIA licences to anyone 😂
You had them cash they hand you a licence, six hrs later 😂
He was a good man, a new follower there I'd say
Used RS components in my electronic construction days and Maplin before they went silly and went to the wall. Good interaction with site manager and great vid.👌
In the states we used to have a childrens store by the name, "TOYS R US" i see inthe UK you have a full childrens warehouse "SECURITY GUARDS R US" THANK YOU DJ AUDIT, YOUR THE BEST
It is true, if they say no filming before you enter the grounds, it is also their right from the moment they entered into commerce.
Whilst in public, you can film what the eyes see and soemtimes even more
Wow incredible interaction top company 👏
Oh dear what a right Karen she was lol, How ever a decent enough manager and straight away said your on public land and you can video, yeah ok he said you can't on the premises but he did say he was going to look it up.
Security didn't learn anything the manager couldn't care less he wont talk to her she's below him , see how he acted like she wasn't even there 😂 when she started arguing he blanked her
I liked that fercilties manager.... very professional 👏 👌 💯
Those houses by the lake look similar to the ones in Willy Wonka when the elevator went through the roof of the Chocolate Factory. 🏭 I guess they're are many like that in England.
I'm doing a before and after picture....
Manager was excellent and stayed cool.I wish all was like this bloke.
Its not on fire, you're not allowed🤔
Good place for your electronic stuff, been going since I was I a kid, pricey but good quality, respect DJ
Very professional guy!
" are you filming something, are you filming something " 😂
DJ gets into the protection business... What if your building was on fire 🔥😳?? 😆😁
this is one of my suppliers, nice to see that the staff know the law on filming in a public place, pity the same can't be said about security...
Great Video DJ
