Use eyeshadow with hair sprays or hair gel as a temporary cover. The hairspray protects your hair! I ruined my thick Afro hair with hair dyes, henna dyes, etc, and uses a Kativa Keratin kit to restore softness, strength and shine to my dye-damaged hair! Now I'm more wary! Uk
“Just for men” beard dye is not just for men! I , a woman, use it to touch up my roots, it’s cheaper than products made for women, it’s fast, processing time is only 5 minutes(!!!) , the beard formula is thick and creamy so it doesn’t drip everywhere and stays where you want the application, no need for expensive salon appointments especially if you’re keeping your roots a natural shade. As always do a patch test before using a new product. And follow the instructions, except you’re not using for your beard 😜!
Lovely Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you researched - Millawdon Independent Decision Trick (erm, check it on google should be there)? I too am a brunette. I find mat brown eye shadow works great; lasts until next wash with occaisional touch-up. It is very affordable and i experience more volume by using it.
Thanks for the video content! Sorry for butting in, I would love your thoughts. Have you researched - Millawdon Goodbye Gray Trick (just google it)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for learning how to reverse gray hair fast without the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my best friend Jordan after many years got excellent results with it.
i use grated onions. i grate half an onion. (yellow. purple. white.) push thru sieve and apply the juice to yr hair jus just like u would do a relaxer and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly and then apply instant conditioner. rinse out conditioner and go from there. do this 2-3 times weekly and yr hair will gradually go back to its original color. After that just do it once a week for maintenance. This works for me. it also thickens hair, stop itchy scalp, & helps hair to grow long.
I've heard of this but haven't tried it yet as I was concerned of smelling like onions? Does your instant conditioner remove the smell? If so what do you use?!
A much better choice is a product called Hairprint. Completely natural and restores your hair back to its original color - naturally. Right now, it only works for people who have dark hair. I recently used Hairprint and I'm very pleased with the results. Looks completely natural, because it is. No worry about toxic anything with Hairprint. One thing to note, is that Hairprint is not a die. It uses a natural system to infuse the natural color into the hair shaft. I'm not going to add a link, but you can just type hairprint into Google or whatever search engine you have and you'll find it. All I can tell you is that Hairprint works. $39 for the kit.
Aw, too bad I haven't seen this product in the US. I am trying to find products to help me avoid permanent hair dyes as the grays are staging a take-over of my head. From one Molly to another 'Mollie' I thank you!
+Molly Spradley I hear you Molly!! I also like to use CLairol Nice n Easy Root Touch up clairol.com/en-us/hair-color/root-touch-up/root-touch-up It is a permanent dye, but just a small amount just to cover your grey roots. It's great! :)
after i have had the onion juice in my hair for about 30 - 45 minutes, i rinse my hair VERY well with warm water. i towel blot my hair to remove excess water, & then i have been using V05 instant conditioner and i just leave it on for 2-3 minutes & then rinse it out. The onion juice rinses out very well and i havent smelled any Onion smell at all.
I found a WONDERFUL color spray at Sallys. I just sprayed it in my grey and it did great BUT when I scratched my heathere was dye all over my fingers. Also, my hair was sticky. I was so disappointed. I was afraid it would rain and drip onto my face.😩
yep - there's nothing that can really prevent a paint, brush or spray on product from coming off in the rain/onto your hands etc.. I dye my roots with a touch up permanent dye every 3-4 weeks once my greys get really visible. That helps hugely...
I bought some that are similar to this. The powder actually gave me really bad sinus allergy. I guess some powder goes into my eyes then my nose reacts. I need to return the ones I bought at Sally's Beauty Supply. Just posting this in case you are wondering you are having allergy like me :--))
Would love to be able to get this but it costs a lot already and with me living in Britain I just dread to think of how much the shipping costs would be. Thank you for sharing this though as it is a very handy tip. I will try and see if there is something similar here in Britain.
HiJune,I'm in Brighton and bought this from Amazon and if you use the brush ever so slightly damp it works a treat and cheap as chips ,the amount of 5* reviews say it all,Sophie x .www.amazon.co.uk/W7-COVER-ROOT-CAMOUFLAGE-3-5g/dp/B00NNTLFM2/ref=sr_1_23_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1478460999&sr=8-23&keywords=hair+powder
hey JUNE, i also live in UK, i am fed up with having to buy and dye my hair every 4 to 6 weeks with hair greying on hairline and roots. but there are quite a few products.. i have dark hair, and from AMazon i ordered a temporary but instant root colour that comes in the form of a lipstick/crayon.... it is about, 3 pounds and callled... COVER YOUR GRAY. it does the job ..also i buy a perm clairol colour and as the mix is almost 1 to 1, i put a small amount in a bowl of roughly equal parts of the two solutions , mix and apply to my hairline, round ears and greys on parting with an old 1cm eyeshadow brush , i get about 3 applications from one box dye, another product i tried is the loreal colour spray can i advise to stay clear of this one, its expensive , messy, and colour is not good.. good luck x
+mollie_makeup It does suck! I'm in my 30's but look way older if I don't colour my hair. I use henna but I need something for touching up the roots sometimes. My friends and family my age are just now starting to get greys and I tell them ' you're talking to the wrong person if you're looking for someone in your boat'. They have one or two now whereas I had that at 17. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know products like this existed.
there's more and more out there for us prematurely ageing peeps. I use a root touch up (permanent hair dye) on my roots every 3-4 weeks. There's also a new product by L'Oreal that is literally a colour spray to cover your roots! I haven't tried it yet, but it's like spray paint...!
Hi Mollie, I have a few questions, does this product have all natural ingredients if so what are they and is it exclusively for brunettes as I use henna and like being a red head?
THANKS FOR SHARING, GREAT IDEA, AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL, I WISH I HEARD MORE ABOUT HOW NATURAL IS THIS PRODUCT, SO I COULD SHARE IT WITH FRIENDS IN AMSTERDAM...IT IS SURE GREAT.. Yes that's right - it washes out. I colour my hair with LOreal Casting Creme, and then i do my roots in between with Clairol Nce n Easy Root Touch Up... :)
I use a dry product for in between coloring at a salon. The product I use drys my hair out and it feels like I need to wash my hair. Does this product make your hair feel oily or dry?
I tried a powder. Problem is, what do you do when it all grows out. Also, when I put my sunglasses on my head, guess where the powder ended up when I put them on my face. No Thank You.

That didn't seem to work at all!! Your hair still looked just as grey at the end of the video. IN fact I could see brown patches amidst your lovely dark hair which just looks strange, amidst the grey hairs, still showing. I just don't get it.....???!!!!
+Lou Inclogs Hey, I can see what you mean, but it's almost like a dry shampoo. So because it has a chalky consistency, it starts out on top of the hair until you massage it in. I do mention in the vid that the lighting is really showing it up, but under normal daylight, it looks great. In my opinion...!
Save your money. 60 bucks?? Honestly ground chalk would have had the same or better effect. It didnt do you any favours. Best advice i could give anyone with sparse greys like yours would beva waterproof mascara in your chosen colour and just brush it in. If you have a load of grey in front and sides (as I do) im biting the bullet and growing it all through. Its ok for now but i may regret it and reach for a semi colour in a few weeks 😂😂😂. Or....i might pastel pink wash through it. (Just to brighten)
+cattuccino fung Hey, see below.. It's a combo of lighting and the product: So because it has a chalky consistency, it starts out on top of the hair until you massage it in. I do mention in the vid that the lighting is really showing it up, but under normal daylight, it looks great. In my opinion...!
You're a very attractive lady, I was watching you present your ingredient and didn't hear you say anything. I went back and listened even though it was hard.... LOL
Oh God !!! Lady, are you aware at all, of what you are actually rubbing into your scalp ?? Vanity, thy name is woman indeed (Shakespeare - from Hamlet). Your hair is lovely - even with those grey hairs - YES ..... "Thank you Mum" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh... dear, oh dear.... just let it lie lady. The message was meant to actually be a nice, flattering one. "Methinks the lady is not amused " Shakespeare (heard of him ???). - Off to die my grey hairs !!!!!!!!! Bye !!!!

L'Oréal spray doesn't work for me.

How to apply cocoa pls?
+Jha Rac I don't suggest using cocoa, but I'm guessing the product in the video is cocoa. Apply it the same way as shown.
+April Dunn oh ok, i got it lol! Thank u 😊
Very obviously cocoa and for God's sake,
"April Dunn1 month ago I don't suggest using cocoa" what's wrong with just using cocoa?
You are very beautiful. With gray, black or pink hair anyway...
The shade is wrong doesn’t match
one table spoon of pumpkin seed each day and no alcoholic drink will help
Interesting,,,, would rather have my wine and use this stuff though ;)
Excellent Video clip!
HONEY is the totally wrong color!!
Colour Wow is so much better.
Koi btey ga ya kiya ha
You are so lovely 🥰💖
Very good my dear
U have beautiful eyes
Save your money. 60 bucks?? Honestly ground chalk would have had the same or better effect. It didnt do you any favours. Best advice i could give anyone with sparse greys like yours would beva waterproof mascara in your chosen colour and just brush it in. If you have a load of grey in front and sides (as I do) im biting the bullet and growing it all through. Its ok for now but i may regret it and reach for a semi colour in a few weeks 😂😂😂. Or....i might pastel pink wash through it. (Just to brighten)
yea, it didn't look like it worked!
+cattuccino fung Hey, see below.. It's a combo of lighting and the product: So because it has a chalky consistency, it starts out on top of the hair until you massage it in. I do mention in the vid that the lighting is really showing it up, but under normal daylight, it looks great. In my opinion...!
Hair fibers do the same thing...
You're a very attractive lady, I was watching you present your ingredient and didn't hear you say anything. I went back and listened even though it was hard.... LOL
You are sooo beautiful
+Don Castillo Cafe Oh wow thank you!! :)
Beautiful nice 👌👌👌👌👍
I did not learned anything...awwww I thought it helped but does not 😏
Oh God !!! Lady, are you aware at all, of what you are actually rubbing into your scalp ??
Vanity, thy name is woman indeed (Shakespeare - from Hamlet).
Your hair is lovely - even with those grey hairs - YES ..... "Thank you Mum" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
don't kid yourself--men are even MORE vain--half of guys over forty are dying their hair now--lol
Oh... dear, oh dear.... just let it lie lady. The message was meant to actually be a nice, flattering one. "Methinks the lady is not amused " Shakespeare (heard of him ???). - Off to die my grey hairs !!!!!!!!! Bye !!!!
hahaha!
You don't have much grey hair in this video. In order to prove it works, you must demonstrate with more grey hair
