Freakin sick you guys. Love the content, cars, builds, shop, performance, racing operations, all at RPM. I've only followed this channel for about 1 year now. Love it. Wish i could take my car all the way out there from California to get the stage 5. 2024 2SS Manual
Fran, hope you have like a seperate File of all the record breaking cars and the setups in each, That would be cool, many different records broken over the years
Amsoil 0/40 is far more superior than Mobil 1 5/30 Mobil 1 breaks down and burn a lot quicker than amsoil I’d only use mobil1 as long as warranty is in effect
Mehh-- Anecdotes are what they are. In a previous life, we successfully ran Amsoil in 1500+ RWHP Vipers (back when that was a big deal) and saw extreme bearing wear in cars running M1 at less than 1100 rwhp-- similar builds. I've also run all the major brands in my old S60R, which was tough on oil and Amsoil UOAs were vastly better than M1 and M1EP. It easily went thousands of miles longer. That's not me declaring M1 is bad, just that I'd be looking deeper than the brand and generic statements. If a builder has a track record with a specific product, it's likely better to not re-invent the wheel. Bearing clearance choices, actual viscosity, bearing choice vs. adpack of the specific product in question, machining choices, etc. all could make an oil appear good or bad. I, personally, think very highly of Amsoil, M1, Pennzoil Ultra, and Valvoline racing oils. I know others who swear by RP (and some who swear at) and Redline. I don't have enough experience one way or another with those two. If I had RPM build me a car and they said to run M1, I'd listen.
@@corystansbury the problem is breaking in part with Amsoil isn’t going to work because it’s an actual synthetic. Mobil 1 is a mislabeled conventional, which is why day one user have success with it.
If it's an auto you have too ,the bigger the cam the more unstable the car will fill when ur at a complete stop ,TC helps the car not shake alot also helps put the power down
@alexcism2477 I know the purpose of a torque converter. I just wanted to know what they used if they replaced it...not remembering that this one is manual so doesn't apply here.
5w30 is the best for water cooled high performance engines. Google “540 rat oil testing” for all the verification and data you need. 40 and 50 weight oils cause more drag, higher temps, and therefore less protection. Fluid is non compressible; and therefore higher oil viscosity doesn’t offer more “strength” or protection. The job of the viscosity of a given oil is to provide hot oil pressure under load. As long as you’re within spec(usually 50-60psi), you’re good. I run 0w20 in a 700whp supercharged hemi with no issues. If I were to take it to a road course, I’d use 5w30 as the 20 weight would probably get too thin at very high temperatures which may cause oil to bleed out of the bearings.
I’m currently building my car like this I’m wondering about the fuel system would lt4 low side provide enough for 1000 wheel? And can the manual trans handle it for a while?
Just out of curiosity. If it was oil related wouldn’t there be pitting on other metal surfaces than just camshaft lobes? Not arguing just concerned on engine damage because I’ve always used amsoil.
Jesus….this car got down over with 1000hp+ 😂on pump gas….that’s nuts. I have 3 mods on my Coyote. A Procharger D1-X, Fore Innovations fuel system (dual pump, E85 only) and a tune. Car made 780hp at the wheels on a large 120MM pulley and 305 race tire. If we changed over to a radial it would have made 800. This Camaro picked up friggin 500+ hp…crazy. I’m a big Procharger fan.
Very good on inf on oil everyone use something different maybe you give inf on which oil is best for camaro corvette etc see studies but real life experience on oil is better
Hey guys love your videos and products but if your going to use my last name in your shoo name you need to send me a shirt or something because I never proved any of your work LOL . Your fan Ian Race.
I have the camero, now I just need 40k great job Matt!

Awesome build guys!❤
Great build.
Mat is on form.
Good fun

That wld be a blast to drive!! Dam good #'s

That car is a monster.
I wonder if the dude has switched to crappy oil again.

Awesome job👏👏👏👏
Nice build. I have a 2012 Grand Sport with 725 RWHP. What rear tire would you recommend on stock wheels?
Pshhh
What mode do you tune your cars in ???
Here love it wish more g8s and Vs but i love all content you guys are great been watching while first time commenting keep it guys
I hate it when people claim pump gas numbers with meth injection. lol. Still impressive either way!
Another awesome RPM build! Is it your B3 cam?
No. B3 is an LS7 only cam
@@RaceProvenMotorsports Oh that's right
Issues with Amsoil? Damn guess I’m changing the oil on all my vehicles today.

Vid content and editing was solid 👍🏼
What’s the record for that set up on E?
What about breaking in the motor?
What about it?
So is it a fully built motor? Or just piston rods and cam? With lt4 injectors and fuel pump?
Mods are in video
What torque converter would you use for the 10 speed auto with that cam have you tried?
Wondering the same
same
Did you upgrade the torque converter when using your bigger cam? If yes, what did you use?
MANUAL TRANS
@joebjr8053 duh...I forgot it was manual, thanks

@chrisiztheman1618 so what about summer time?

No not even remotely close. You will need a low side
@@RaceProvenMotorsports Any recommendation for the low side? I have a monster clutch installed what power is the 6 speed good for stock ?
@@GNuttysGarage 1300whp. Ppl have ran stock TR6060 to 1300whp w no problems lmao
Nice job
What would a can of that octane booster do to it?
foul plugs
Them ford coyote boys ain't gonna like this
And fran you turning the v up more yet lol
is RPM an LS / LT only shop?
yes
Do you guys put Mobil 1, 15w50 in all your builds? I saw a jug in one of your videos. I started using that in my Camaro and people think i'm nuts.
Yes we use Mobil 1 in everything
@@RaceProvenMotorsports Do you use 15w50 ?
They use 5w30 in the N/A builds and the 15w50 in the high HP boosted builds. @@alanmoriarty1752
For boost it’s fine but not for n/a
Wow. Lt4 injectors are making power. Is this 2 or 3 meth nozzles?

Got up to the timing cover install with no damper. Rookie mistake.....
I’m curious on the cam pitting. I highly doubt a quality oil like amsoil would cause that. Gotta be something else going on. Just my opinion
We have seen it NUMEROUS time from amsoil

I’d like to know what weight to use on the stage 3 packages also?
We use Mobil 1 5/30 in everything Na. 15/50 in high hp boosted stuff
Brrppppp
My buddy had just the opposite he went through 3 engines using mobile 1 and now he uses amsoil and no problems so who knows.
Content good but not lik it use to be to much cut editing different days,no more first start ups just random recording 😢

They look like flat tappets from the angle of the video, hard to tell.
Cap on pump gas. If you used octane booster (meth or otherwise) that’s not pump gas.
