  • Show What You Know was a very simple pilot for a children's educational game show produced by Lucky Cat Productions. The pilot was hosted by Mark Archuleta and featured Larkin Brooks as the teacher and John Pratt as the professor. Third, fourth and fifth grade students from Third Street Elementary. The show never got picked up.
I found this pilot on a tape of old game shows that had been sent to me many years ago. I wish I had more information, or was able to track down the original owner but I have been unable to do. If you have more information (or are the original creator) please contact me. The only thing I remember from the person who sent it to me was that Larkin Brooks passed not too long after this was filmed.
The show definitely needed a little work with presentation (there aren't even scoreboards for the contestants save for some supers at the end of rounds). But I understand it may have been made on a shoestring budget as proof-of-concept.
And the music sounds very much like the soundtrack to any of the Streets of Rage games. (Apparently, it's Grove Box by Bob Taylor - thanks RUclips Content ID.)
TECHNICAL NOTE: This is second or third generation copy and the noise reduction I had to employ is quite obvious. My apologies.

now I know why this didn't get picked up the set looks lame, the actors are just boring and this is more like a educational video then a game show

Which is also how I'd describe the Beat the IRS pilot-- a poorly-made educational video disguised as a game show.

An educational show mispronouncing lever? Yikes!
