When Barry and Robin sing together they blend to sound like one voice and Maurice provides the third harmony. Robin's ad libs really enhance the song. Great beat. I suggest their medley from the 1989 Melbourne concert where they do short bits of many songs including those they wrote for others but did not record themselves. It shows each brother's strengths and interactions.
Bee Gees had no mixing going on. If u heard them singing without music they harmonised beautifully. Back in the 69’s, 70’s and 80’s we had no gadgets that made people voices pitch perfect. BEE Gees were unbelievable. Go find them appearing as kids on Australian TV
@seyimibode Today, 9/1/24, is BARRY GIBB’S (the lead singer), 78th Birthday & his 54th Wedding Anniversary to his wife Linda!!! Thanks for keeping The Bee Gees music alive!! ❤❤❤❤ They still put out songs in the 90’s and 2000’s….so 2 more decades to go!👍🏾
Bee Gees the only band in history to have Written, Produced, and recorded 6 consecutive No1 hits in a row, they also had the biggest selling album in history until Michael Jackson brought out his THRILLER album, Jackson mentioned that his inspiration for the album came from the Bee Gees, the brothers have written songs for films and many famous artists, it’s estimated that they have written over a thousand songs altogether, The brothers were also considered to be one of the greatest songwriters, and have sold over 250 million records worldwide, the Bee Gees born on the Isle Of Man 🇮🇲 of the coast of the United Kingdom 🇬🇧,I attended a live Bee gees concert in Las Vegas in 1997 the guys were phenomenal live, great reaction thanks 🙏
Other Bee Gees songs from this era that I really like, "One", "When the Bell Tolls", "Alone" , "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" & "Closer Than Close".
The Bee Gees career spanned Five decades and although their music changed with the decades their harmonies and vocals were always outstanding. You always knew it was The Bee Gees. Please react to ALONE from their 1996 album Still Waters. ❤❤❤
Highly recommend Bee Gees' tribute to Carole King; "WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW" - one of her many hits that these three talented musical geniuses put their unmistakable stamp on, while at the same time honoring the original. 💖💖💖 Today, Sept. 1st, 2024, Sir Barry turns 78 - and he and his wife Linda are also celebrating 54 years of marriage, as well.
Hi guys, this is Grahame in The Netherlands...You really should check out the BeeGees singing the song "ALONE" live at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas in1997. You will not regret it!
The stomps were created my Mo in his garage. All the music execs wanted them off they said NO!!! They also I do believe had a top 10 in the 90's with Whom the bell tolls. Which is a beautiful song.
It's amazing how long the BeeGees stayed on the charts and created/recorded new music. So many groups are around for just a few years, stay around to tour but live on past glories and don't put out anything new.
The Bee Gees spent their formative years here in Australia. They were incredible songwriters and performers. You Win Again was all over the radio in 1987-88. Quite different in style from their other material but equally as good 😊
That was everywhere #1 in the charts worldwide except one country ‼the USA - here the countrywide radio ban since the disco back clash from 1981- still existed so sad for them, because this huge banger was indeed their biggest hit in the UK and other European countries as well.
I love the live performances best but as long as it’s Bee Gees I don’t really mind. Thankyou for reacting to them. Their younger brother Andy is well worth a listen aswell ❤
Love these guys. Forever great! Try to listen to “Living Eyes” and “Paradise” from the 1982 Living Eyes album. Beautiful harmonies and music from The Brothers Gibb. There will never be another act to match the talent and harmonies of The Bee Gees.
Love this song and if you want to view it withott the video there is a good version online where they performed it live. I love Robin's vocal in this. He had an amazing voice. You should listen to some of their songs where he was the lead. Maurice also had a great voice to but Barry was almost always the lead. Love Love Love the Bee Gees😍
I love this song, and you're right... it is so different. It didn't do well here in the US only reaching #75 on the charts and was only on the charts for 6 weeks. On the flip side, this song was #1 in the UK for 4 weeks.
The group was established in 1958 which was also the same year their brother Andy Gibb was born. Andy had a very successful solo career. Please react to Andy Gibb on the Midnight Special singing, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything.
Today is Barry’s 78th birthday and 54th anniversary with wife Linda. You would enjoy I Surrender (promotional video), Ordinary lives, Wedding Day, This is where i came in. ❤❤some of their formed The Gibb Collective and a wonderful song by them is Don’t turn out the lights would fun to listen to Bee Gees doing the song then The Gibb Collective.
This is one of those songs, that when you here the starting stumps, you know what song it is. It was song that could had ended up never been released, as the record ompany wanted the hard stumps turned down a bit. But the group said, "they stay, or we will not release the song". They won that argument. Maurice was the one who came up with these stumps and infact, Phil Collins would have liked to use them but because of copyright issues it never came around. Phil Collins, however, plays drums, when The Bee Gees plays this song at concert in 1988.
Ahh, yes! For Nelson Mandela's birthday tribute at Wembley. I personally didn't think the audio was real great, but still fun to watch. I love their performances on Countdown & especially Top of the Pops when Andy introduced them, which was shortly before he passed away.😥
Great reaction! The kick and snare are actually "stomps" created by Mo using trash can lids, etc. in his garage. I can't recall the whole story but it's pretty funny. I think utube has a video on it. Also, For Whom The Bell Tolls, NYC version, please!
There is a version of this live that I prefer over this version It is from 1988 and has a special guest drummer. "This is where I came in" is their last released song. It came out two years before Mo died. It has a biographical element to it. Another great one is "For whom the bell tolls". There are two official videos for this song, but I prefer the one made in New York City. My personal favorite is "Words". HAPPY 78th BIRTHDAY BARRY and HAPPY 54 ANNIVERSAY BARRY AND LINDA!
Since you love their harmonies, you should check out Fanny (be tender with my love). The vocals were so complex they couldn’t perform it live. As others have said there are so many great sides to The Bee Gees. You may want to do some pre disco era to really get an appreciation for how they transformed over many decades (actually 5!).
Some 80s Bee Gees songs that no one reacts to: Ordinary Lives, ESP, He's a Liar. Living Eyes, The Woman in You. Someone Belonging to Someone, Shine Shine (solo Barry) and In the Shape of Things to Come.
This song You Win Again by the Bee Gees charted on Billboard Hot 100 on September 19, 1987 and it peaked at number 76 and this was there 43 hit single.
Saw a documentary, they mentioned that distinctive drum beat in this song, they were trying to replicate the sound of a garage band, ie. How it would sound inside the house. But they didnt get it quite right. Still it was good enough for the recording.
The Bee gees wrote many songs & alot of them were performed by other artists, Most people who will add comments will only suggest you 2 listen or look at their most well known ones that were releashed as singles,i would like to suggest that you could possibly check out their songs Children of the World & Boogie Child which are from their 1976,just before their Disco start era with the well known songs from the 1976 film soundtrack saturday night fever, Just a suggestion.
Hello, After they got banned by a DJ for making disco music they thought that it was wise to stay out of the spotlights and go writing for other artists (see the youtube video 100 songs that became no1 who are written by the BeeGees) and they came back phenominal with the ESP album but expand it with next 5 albums who came out later One, High Civilisation,Size isn't everything with the beautiful song from who the bell tolls with Robin at the lead, Still waters and there last album this is where i came in. You should listen to that one's great songs from a great band thank you for reacting to this one greetings from the Netherlands
Barry does have a more recent album called 'In the Now'. There is one song called Grey Ghost he wrote to dedicate to Japan after the Tsunami.. some really good songs. in the now has a live video, believe it was released 7 years ago
Rather than listening to Stayin' Alive, which you have heard, try You Should Be Dancing, which is similar but a different song. There is a great video of them performing it live with their younger brother Andy, and footage from Saturday Night Fever. It's great!
Nice to see you checking out 80s Bee Gees. Make sure you check out their song "The Woman In You", and especially the video for it, from 1983. The song was featured in the movie "Stayin' Alive", which was a sequel to the movie "Saturday Night Fever".... though it definitely did not do as well, and nobody seems to remember it much. The song has the classic Bee Gees sound... but with the added change of incorporating early 80s music. The video is probably the only time you will Maurice driving a cab, or Robin waiting on tables at a diner.
I like this song, but by this time in my early twenties I had kinda Moved On and we were all pretty fresh out of the 70s and happily emersed into the 80s.. I was more into Alternative Rock and New Wave during the 80s I'd say.
If there were a young Bee Gees today they would be lost in the crowd because some over-ambituous producer would insist on auto-tuning them because that's what's "in". There are probably many talented people and groups out there today who are never given a chance to shine on their own talents.
The Bee Gees have made music across 5 decades not 3 from 1967 to 2001 Thier discography is Bee gees 1st, 1967 Horizontal, 1968 Idea , 1968 Odessa , 1969 Cucumber castle , 1970 2 years on , 1970 Trafalgar , 1971 To whom it may concern , 1972 Life in A Tin can , 1973 Mr.Natural , 1974 Main Course , 1975 Children of the world , 1976 Saturday night fever soundtrack, 1977 Spirits having flown , 1979 Living Eyes, 1981 Staying Alive Soundtrack, 1983 Barry Gibb Now Voyager , 1984 E.S.P, 1987 Barry gibb Hawks Soundtrack, 1988 One , 1989 High civilization , 1991 Size isn't Everything , 1993 Still Waters , 1997 This is Where I came In, 2001 Barry Gibb In The Now, 2016 Barry Gibb Greenfields The Gibb Brothers Songbook .volume 1 , 2021
Love you guys love your channel and love the beegees. I will say though I was a little caught off guard with you. Doing this song. Mostly because of the massive discography that they have and many of which are absolute hits. I love everything they do, but admittedly, this would have been Pretty far down the list of my favorites. I mean, as far as I'm concerned they can do. No wrong. I just was a little bit surprised.
I have a couple of suggestions. 1. heart like mine from 1993 album Size isn't everything. Robin's vibrato is definitely a deep dig along with the melody of the music. ruclips.net/video/RMLxFtnOlto/видео.htmlsi=km0uni0aUTj5vZUG 2. The only love from 1991 album High civilization. The Harmonies are killer in this song. ruclips.net/video/FKbopEdMFqg/видео.htmlsi=VEmu3bZLULCruXer I just hope I didn't mix the links up. These 2 are my new favorite songs by The Bee Gees..
Bee gees - Alone is a must to react!
Americans in the 80's weren't prepared for this wonderful song. That explains why this song wasn't a number one as it was in Europe.
Celine Dion with the Bee Gees singing Immortality
This group was great because of their ability to change and adapt to the decades. I love them in all decades. Fav album Main Course
Bee Gees had no mixing going on. If u heard them singing without music they harmonised beautifully. Back in the 69’s, 70’s and 80’s we had no gadgets that made people voices pitch perfect. BEE Gees were unbelievable. Go find them appearing as kids on Australian TV
here we go an aussie trying to claim the bee gees they are BRITISH mate
@seyimibode
Today, 9/1/24, is BARRY GIBB’S (the lead singer), 78th Birthday & his 54th Wedding Anniversary to his wife Linda!!! Thanks for keeping The Bee Gees music alive!! ❤❤❤❤
They still put out songs in the 90’s and 2000’s….so 2 more decades to go!👍🏾
Thanks Sandra, the others are still so sadly missed RIP Andy, Robin and Maurice. ❤❤❤ and many congrats to Barry on his special day! 🙋♂
What a comeback track this was
Bee Gees are Legends! Any decade
Best group EVER
❤❤❤❤you Barry
Barry Dreamt the melody of this song while was sleeping...then he got up and recorded in a walkman he had it.
Too much heaven !! Best song by them for sure ..
They are legends the best group ever.
By a trillion miles the best Bee Gees song.
Thinking about it though, the lyrics are a bit creepy.
"Nobody stops this body from taking you"
That's pop music for you, I guess.
@@markharris1125I don't think it was meant in that context.

Other Bee Gees songs from this era that I really like, "One", "When the Bell Tolls", "Alone" , "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" & "Closer Than Close".
You forgot ' This is where i came in' 'Man in the middle' Your a holiday' ' Where would i be without my woman' etc.....
Run to Me is another beautiful song of theirs.
The Bee Gees career spanned Five decades and although their music changed with the decades their harmonies and vocals were always outstanding. You always knew it was The Bee Gees. Please react to ALONE from their 1996 album Still Waters. ❤❤❤
Yes please, that is my favorite song!
Best song they have done 😊
Highly recommend Bee Gees' tribute to Carole King; "WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW" - one of her many hits that these three talented musical geniuses put their unmistakable stamp on, while at the same time honoring the original.

Today, Sept. 1st, 2024, Sir Barry turns 78 - and he and his wife Linda are also celebrating 54 years of marriage, as well.
Happy Birthday to Barry Gibb (78) and Happy Anniversary to Barry and Linda Gibb (54).
Aaaaaaah I get so excited every time I hear this song! The rhythm and lyrics are just so clever ❤
Hi guys, this is Grahame in The Netherlands...You really should check out the BeeGees singing the song "ALONE" live at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas in1997. You will not regret it!
Agree! That entire concert is a must watch!
ALONE....my favourite to 😊
Alone is amazing forgot about alot of the bee gees hits, genius
Their song "Closer Than Close" has a sensual vibe and the lead is sung by Maurice.
And man in the middle another maurice banger x
@@jeanroebuck4737very rare for Maurice to sing lead which is such a crime cause he had an amazing voice.
I’ve never heard this song it’s really different and really beautiful
got to check out "One" from the same album
Fantastic song.
The stomps were created my Mo in his garage. All the music execs wanted them off they said NO!!! They also I do believe had a top 10 in the 90's with Whom the bell tolls. Which is a beautiful song.
Stomps created by Mo, melody created in Barry's dream!😁😴😁
Barry & his son Steven had an album in 2016. Grand Illusion from the "in the Now" Album is a banger
It's amazing how long the BeeGees stayed on the charts and created/recorded new music. So many groups are around for just a few years, stay around to tour but live on past glories and don't put out anything new.
I think I read somewhere The Bee Gees are the only group to have a #1 hit in 5 different decades. Not sure if that's true, but I'd believe it.
Today is Barry's aniversary (78), God bless him! I love Bee Gees 🥰
Barry's 78th bday and their 54th anniversary!!♥️🤍♥️
The Bee Gees spent their formative years here in Australia. They were incredible songwriters and performers. You Win Again was all over the radio in 1987-88. Quite different in style from their other material but equally as good 😊
And in the 90´s they rocked with the song Alone.
I also liked I SURRENDER, (that video was in 1997)… and then anything from their 2001 live by request!
Thats wy I love the Bee Gees. Every Song is a surprice ❤❤❤
That was everywhere #1 in the charts worldwide except one country ‼the USA - here the countrywide radio ban since the disco back clash from 1981- still existed so sad for them, because this huge banger was indeed their biggest hit in the UK and other European countries as well.
I think I remember the drum sounds on this were made by things Maurice Gibb had lying around in his garage.
Yep! He called it “stomps”
Garbage can lids
Another good one by them is ALONE . It was on the same alblum that this song is on .
For classic Bee Gees with the most amazing harmonies, you need to listen to Message To You, it’s my all time fave of theirs xx
DEATH ROW inmate singing I “just gotta get a message to you” My BeeGee fav.
I love the live performances best but as long as it’s Bee Gees I don’t really mind. Thankyou for reacting to them. Their younger brother Andy is well worth a listen aswell ❤
Lonely Days is the one to do.
First 😂 You're really going to love you should be dancing live with youngest brother Andy. Great reaction and Peace out guys ✌️ ☮️
'To Love Somebody' is my favorite. Check it out. Cheers.
Still got this on 7" vinyl from back in the day. Brilliant song.
4 decades actually had top hits and 6 decades of music
The BGs always flowing with the times and putting out great quality stuff from the 60s to the 2000s.
Play 'Alone , don't want to be Alone.
Great reaction! Lonely Days, Lonely Nights is another song.
The images were all about the chances of finding love in life/marriage is down a lot to luck; it is a gamble and has to be worked at by both.
Love these guys. Forever great! Try to listen to “Living Eyes” and “Paradise” from the 1982 Living Eyes album. Beautiful harmonies and music from The Brothers Gibb. There will never be another act to match the talent and harmonies of The Bee Gees.
Always love a Bee Gees reaction!

The song that gives goosebumps
The BeeGees once again producing very good energetic and danceable music to get you going.
There are live performances of this song that you might enjoy more. One is on the Arsenio Hall Show.
My favourite group they had 12 number one's and wrote another 8 number one's for others including 3 for their brother Andy.
Their last hit was late 90s - Alone. Another great track.
bee gees bodyguard

Wait until you get into the 90s and 2000s and Barry put out a couple of albums In The Now and Greenfields after his brothers passed away.
I forgot about this one good song though but more of a sign of the 80’s in terms of the video and some of the sounds
Try "Alone" and "For whom the bell tolls" .90's hits. Fourth decade!
Saw a documentary, they mentioned that distinctive drum beat in this song, they were trying to replicate the sound of a garage band, ie. How it would sound inside the house. But they didnt get it quite right. Still it was good enough for the recording.
The Brothers Gibb. ❤

Barry does have a more recent album called 'In the Now'. There is one song called Grey Ghost he wrote to dedicate to Japan after the Tsunami.. some really good songs. in the now has a live video, believe it was released 7 years ago
The pounding you hear was recorded by Maurice. He struck the metal garbage cans in his garage.😊

Have you listened to "chain reaction" by Diana Ross which they wrote for her in the 80s
The fourth brother Andy, the youngest, was a smash hit solo artist.
you should listen to closer than closer, and man in the middle both good songs.
Check out the title track of their last album This Is Where I Came In from 2001.
bgs v legends!..........was grat to c em bck in v charts whn vis was released, try alone frm same era.
🤛👊🤜

Also 90s, I believe.
