    For the quick information that you mentioned where it shows the resolution and frame rate there is even a quicker way. Press UP on the navigation button (White wheel) it will show the information. So you don't have to go to the input and then select the hdmi for information. Great Video!! I just got this tv in 55 inch and it is amazing!! So much better than KS8000. It does have color banding with few content but majority of the content i've watched looks amazing!!

    Thinking of switching from my Samsung QN90B 43 to this in 65. Not only is it larger, comparable picture quality, and much cheaper, but the menu and home screen is so much better than the criminally bad one on the QN90B.

    There seems to be a trend of dumbing down the settings and also not giving you the HDR pop up. My Sony TVs are this way and you have to go into the content you are playing to see what is playing, be it SDR, HDR or Dolbyvision. My U8G will show me in a pop up, and especially when setting ports to enhanced. With the U8H, I am not seeing this and want to understand where I can check the quaility of the video without installing a third party app, if possible.

    Hello, please help, I have had a U8H for more than a year, but recently I noticed a problem with games that use VRR, the screen flickers in the upper left corner, the strange thing is that in a game (Immortals of Aveum) If I activate the frame generation option the problem decreases drastically (but I don't think it disappears completely), but in the other game (The First Descendant) the problem appears when I activate that option. There is also a great variation and drops in FPS just standing in the menu with the flickering.
    It seems that the problem appears when Instant Game Response is active, I turned it off and the flickering and fps drops in VRR games disappear. I know the purpose of Instant Game Response is to activate the low latency mode for better response in games, and I really want this feature.
    Another thing that I notice was that the automatic changes that occur in Picture>Advanced Settings configuration, when Instant Game Response is Active, it seems that it turns off 1) Motion Enhancement, 2) Motion Clearness, 3) Noise Reduction, 4) Digital Noise Reduction, 4) Dynamic Tone Mapping. So I turn off all of these things manually with Instant Game Response deactivated and again there is no flickering and no fps drops. This problem only happens with Instant Game Response.
    I suppose that I can use it like a work around solution to have Instant Game Response desativated and have all those features turn it off manually so I can have the best latency posible, since I only use my ps5 to play games. My question is, turning those features off manually will give me exactly the same result than Instan Game Response does?
    By the way Hisense Customer support was of not help at all, and since i import the tv to Venezuela i don't have warranty. You are my only hope.
    Thanks in advance.

    I don't have this TV, but a couple of things concern me.
    1. It's a People's Republic of China product, it is made with almost slave labor. The TV may be cheaper than most but the people making it are making a living wage. The TV has a 2 year warranty I think I heard, but I'm wondering who is going to get repair parts for It in the USA, China is having a problem with their workforce due to covid19. Another concern is Hisense is a fairly young company will it have the ability to have the infrastructure and presence here in North America and Europe. Just my concerns about the Hisence brand.

    • @JoelsterG4k
      @JoelsterG4k  Год назад

      Almost everything is made in China, I have many contacts there and no they are not working in slave labor, a lot of people from there are very rich and hard workers, for repairs they have companies here in the states that repair their TVs, I know my local repair guy because Hisense sends their TVs to him and he tells me all about it, I still have the H9 model from 3 years ago and no issues at all, the TV still looks pristine so I wouldn't worry too much.

    NOTICE: I finally needed to return the Hisense U8H. The severe problems with "Stuttering" and "Posterization" and "Macroblocking" and "Lipsyncing" were NOT solved with the recent Firmware Updates. It is SO DISAPPOINTING Hisense would release a product with so many glitches and flaws. If Hisense had made the product just a little better and taken a bit longer to release it, I gladly would have paid a couple hundred dollars more to avoid those problems.

      You must be a hard core gamer maybe? I thought the tv was pretty good I just bought one

    • @michaelzoran
      @michaelzoran Год назад

      @@gurjeetdeol6291 Some of the reviews pointed out the simple fact that if a person had never previously seen certain games, they wouldn't know what the game was "supposed" to look like and it would never cross their minds that anything was wrong. But, if you know what the game is "supposed" to look like, you do realize this problems are very real.
      Perhaps the most annoying problem of all with the U8H is the "Stuttering" problem with the Blu-ray movies, which run at 24 frames per second. Caleb from RTings is correct in his review where he says he was outright annoyed at times. Hisense needs to do a better job in the future.
      I can also say that even Sony and Samsung need to do a better job with their VA panels. They have every poor viewing angles. The moment you get off from the center a little bit, the colors start to change. It is particularly noticeable more on darker colors and darker versions of blue.
      Samsung came up with a slightly improved version for the viewing angle this year, but that is only on their flagship $2,400 model.
      Sony is TERRIBLE the way their $3,200 flagship model VA still has an AWFUL viewing angle that is actually even worse than the Hisense U8H. The ratings from RTings confirm this.
      It would be better to buy an OLED for that price. The risk is burn-in. Buying from Best Buy at that point is absurd, because their insurance policies increase as the price of the produce increases. You would be better off just buying a new TV. It is literally better to buy from other places than Best Buy, just because of superior insurance programs at a lower price.

    • @gurjeetdeol6291
      @gurjeetdeol6291 Год назад

      @@michaelzoran do you think Hisense will fix some issues with an update. I don't mind the difference in the games even if I were to know what the game should look like. For me the difference is not that big of a deal I guess. I would obviously like them to fix it . What do you think ? Will they ?

      Do you live in the US? I ask because the US models are far superior to the ones sold internationally. Not sure why Hisense did it that way, but that's just what it is

    • @michaelzoran
      @michaelzoran Год назад +1

      @fivefingerdiscount The HDMI cable is definitely not the cause of the problem. I'm not the only person experiencing these problems with the Hisense U8H. Just take a look at the reviews from RTings and Digital Trends. The "Stuttering" and problems with "Processing" were mentioned all along from the very beginning.

      First of all, to enjoy HDR you first need to set it from STANDARD to ENHANCED MODE. You can access this by pressing the button directly above the Netflix button the one with the 3 horizontal lines. In the Menu go to HDMI Format and select ENHANCED Format, that will activate the HDR and now you are able to enjoy your 4K movies in HDR. ✌️
