All right I'll get the 65" U8H for my mother as a present, your recommendations have never been wrong before.😌👌 What's are the most popular calibration settings for that tv? I want my mother to be wowed with her favorite movies. Thank you for everything, thee #1 BRAND in HONESTY *QUANTUM TV!*
I agree with you 100% about Hisense. My H9F is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. If Hisense ever gets the QD-OLED tech, they are going to be seriously dangerous! 😁👍
Wow... you are very informative... my Ex had me take back a Vizio TV I bought on Black Friday and he INSISTED that the deal as far as quality & price is the Hisense 65" Quantum ULED 4K Google. I did what my Ex said, returned the Vizio TV, purchased the Hisense TV he insisted upon the and I am very pleased and so glad I took that shotty Vizio back. To prove the point of him being right 99.9% of the time when it comes to electronics, TV's, etc.. He sent me your link and Yup! My Ex was on point and absolutely right! Your link proved it💜 Thank you for your very detailed post!
How is the posterization in gaming ? RUclipsrs say it’s really bad and really noticeable when gaming on the U8H. And they clearly show it in their videos. Only thing from holding me back from purchasing this TV.
Great review! I was thinking of buying either the TCL R646 (i'm in Canada, we don't have the R655 yet or who knows if ever) or the Hisense U8H are now top of my list. Its tough as I say i game 70% of the time and 30% of the time watch high quality TV shows and Movies (4k only) and U8H i've heard has issues with some gaming features, so it might end up being the TCL for me just due to gaming. Some people have been saying the U8H has some color banding issues, and the 120hz 4k issue as well, but not sure if these are specific to gaming only or not.
Hey man, what's your opinion about the U7H?? Looking for 75" screen under $1,000 and that one is priced at $999.99 right now. I appreciate the help. Looking for the best TV we can get in that $1,000 price range for our new home.
If possible could you tell me your opinion on the 75a76k hisense? I just bought one because it was a qled 75" for only 529 but couldn't find much about it tbh.. Thanks
Bought the hisense u8h 75 inch 2 months ago on your recommendation and love it. I see the 75 inch is kind of tough to find right now. Im Happy I bought it. I did just impulse buy a samsung s96b as well via best buys black dross deal on your recommendation as well. I cant wait to see what oled is all about.
So you sold me on the U8H only thing stopping me going out getting it is. I'm building a house it won't be ready till June it's primary for that media room, so would you say wait till next year's model comes out or think next model won't improve that much.
Love your video. Wanted to know if you think the U8H is good for a very lit living room? Was thinking about getting the Samsung QN85B or QN95B because they said they were the best. But the review on the U8H from everybody has been great
A couple of questions. I have a satellite box, a sound bar and a blue ray player. Are there enough hdmi ports? Is the Dolby Vision fixed on the Netflix app? Is there a difference in picture quality between the 65" and 75"?
Great video bro, I have always been a Samsung groupie, phone tablet et all....But I need something different for my next TV. Looked at LG and Vizio and honestly with all the reviews Its looking like i will pull the trigger on the Hisense U8H. Question though, do you think current prices will change on Black friday or Cyber monday?
Good morning, I truly enjoy your content on. I sincerely appreciate you are straight up 💯. I can't afford a super expensive TV but am looking at the U8H for my man cave. I was trying to get an OLED TV. We stream a lot and play PS5 25% of the time. We watch a lot of movies as well. This U8H would go in my basement. Would it work well for my needs in your opinion? Also, I will gladly pay $5 for settings from you. Its refreshing to see someone be honest on RUclips. Thank you!
I agree Hisense has a great picture and when they work they are really good. On the other hand Hisense customer service is horrible and replacement parts are hard to come by. Buy a Hisense at your own risk because buying a Hisense is gambling so ask yourself will this TV last?
How is the reliability and dependability of the processing? I had heard, despite outstanding picture quality, on previous Hisense models, the processors would give out or have board problems in a year or less. Example: H9F/G. What’s changed?
H9g rocking for 3+ years. I have animals and leave the tv on for 8+ hours 5 days a week for 3+ years with no issues. When you save so much compared to the other brands, you can afford the 5 year warranty at best buy and never have to worry about if there's an issue. Top quality and no worries = worth it to me. I have a c1 and g2 as my other TVs and still enjoy the hisense everytime I watch it. Quantum tv is the go to for when deciding on TVs. If you want great setting that are always being updated and someone that responds to questions, spend an extra $6 a month and become a member.
Thanks for the input. I had an H9F that went out on me in less than a year. I had seen some forums where this seemed to be happening to several others with the same model and newer versions as well. I ended up using my Best Buy warranty option to exchange for a different brand (Sony) and paying a little difference. I like it but the overall performance and picture quality doesn’t seem much better, if any. I also don’t like the stuttering of some content. However, if the processing is much more reliable, it may have to be a compromise I have to accept.
I've been pushing my 75" 75U7G 16hrs. a day for almost a year and a half now with no problems. And friends with the big 3 costing 2 and 3 times what I paid, are impressed with the picture and build quality. Hisense has been #1 in many countries for years now, and it's NOT because they don't last lol I also own the 60H6E for over 4 years now and aside from a little DSE its a great tv for a 60" $350.00 set.
Agreed, over the last few years, reviewers keep saying a THOUSAND DOLLAR TV IS A BUDGET BRAND!!! A budget brand is a ONN tv for 300 or less, and we make decent money and I view anything north of 1500 a rich man's tv lol a $1000 is at the top end of a regular person imo
Hey bud just found your channel seen a few vids. I'm in need of a new TV and would like to go bigger thinking about a 80 -85 in would like to stay under 2,500 but under 2k will be great can you recommend any thanks bud love your content.
Bought my 65 inch U8H and had it for about a month now, for $999. Wish I would've waited seeing as it's what, on sale for Black Friday at $900? Regardless, best tv I've ever owned. Set up was a pain in the ass, but once I got it up and calibrated, I immediately fell in love with it.
Depending on where you bought it you may be able to get the price adjusted and get refunded the difference. I'd try to Call and ask before going down there, they're getting really lax about holiday returns too offering returns well into January
Since you mentioned Google TV is hands down better than Roku or Fire do you have a video that goes into more detail regarding that? I've been a hardcore Roku TV guy for many years but I'm very interested in Google but heard it's glitchy and not the best performing OS.
I was a gung-ho Roku guy, too. Android TV was a mixed bag, but Google TV is the new version and is flawless. I've not had an app freeze while loading, and the interface is much easier to jump back into what you were watching.
Try a Google streaming device, if you end up not liking it you can return it. I also didn't have a problem with Roku But Google looks and navigates better for all my family members.
Still absolutely loving my 65" H9G. Will wait awhile before I upgrade. Next TV will most likely also be Hisense considering their value and technological improvements.
Quantum is the reason I own a H9F and still have it with no issues and after watching his previous videos on the U8G and the U8H, it's a toss up between those two to see which one I should get. To be honest, I just want it to play my PS5 so U8G or U8H for the PS5?
Thats my problem, i've heard issues with the U8H with gaming in regards to color banding and downscaling 4k at 120hz. Some people say they don't notice anything, but i've seen some videos of side by side comparisons and it looks really noticeable and not good. Which is too bad because the U8H looks like its amazing for regular movies and tv in 4k, just might be a gaming problem.
@@lorddrifter7296 Yes my Hisense is still like day one but it only has 60hz and does not have HDMI 2.1 so this is why I wanted the upgrade to either the U8G or U8H
@@Dave004 So what about the U8G? I saw some videos that Quantum made on the U8H but I don't recall him saying anything about what you mentioned. Unless it's a hit or miss with the U8H. Hopefully, this can be addressed by Quantum real soon before the Black Friday deals end for this TV.
Is the posterization really as bad as people claim in game mode on the U8H or are they premium brand shills? This is my sole reluctance for picking this set up
ditto for me too, some people have shown is pretty noticeable. but U8H excels is so many other areas its tough. but if you're mainly a gamer...i would make sure probably to do more research on it (thats what i'm trying to do lol)
Hey Quantum TV, I watched your U8H review video and bought one weeks ago and received it today. I was trying to do your settings but I realized I don’t have “game zone” and “HDMI Format” options. The more weird thing is when I log in my Google account the security email that I received shows my TV device is “55U7H”. I’m just wondering if the retailer put an older generation chip into a big 75” TV. Please let me know what do you think. Thanks.
U7H doesn't hit as hard when it comes to HDR. I have a 75 U6G, it's nice but my smaller LG C1 smacks it on performance. A larger brighter U8H must be quite an upgrade if I can get my hands on one.
I got the 75in u7h in my den and i ❤️ it. its 90% gaming 10% sports. I also have a 83in q60a in my living room for movie night. It depends on what you are using the tv for and what u like. for gaming, sideloading 3rd party apps go with hisense. But if you like samsung interface no dolby vision and using a streaming device samsung is not a bad choice.
Can you help me with my picture settings to reduce blooming? Using Tron Legacy on Disney+ as a reference, because that film is bloomcity. It's an SDR stream, but I had blooming while viewing Lucy on Amazon Prime; also a good reference film to test or dial in blooming. Also, I cannot get HDR to stream in Dolby Vision on Vudu, Peacock, and some Amazon titles; but HDR DV works fine on Netflix and Disney+. Is having only having the regular picture settings available like, standard, vivid, filmmaker, etc the indicator that the stream is SDR? I get Dolby Vision or HDR10+ picture options on titles on Netflix Disney and amazon originals but not on the non-originals like Lost City or Lucy
Appreciate the Vid Q. While we’re talking Hisense i was wondering/hoping for the day where you have enough free time to review their short throw projectors. You’re the only reviewer i trust at this point lol
Hisense has been making panels for Sharp for years. The company finally acquired Sharp few years ago but unfortunately inherited the same software issues. No doubt Hisense is perfect in money for value, but the software issues are unforgiving. I basically avoid Sharp and Hisense.
I just got Hisense U6HF with Fire Tv because it was on sale at a really good price, Fire tv OS it's fine for me, but I've noticed that when I watch content on Netflix, Disney or Prime Video in some dark scenes the picture looks really grainy, too much noise and it's really distracting and anoying. If I reduce sharpness it helps but not much. And also when a part of the image has too much detail like hair or clothe fabrics, it has a shimmer or flicker (I don't know how to call it) but it's also anoying. My question is? Is this an issue of Hisense image processing? Or all new 4k tv's look like that? I know hisense sells all the bells an whistles, but I have the feeling that the weak part is the image processing (poor chip processor). And some part of me thinks I made a mistake and I should've gone with a Samsung Q80B, thinking that it has a better processor. Do you think all that grain and noise could be present on Samsung and Sony tv's too?
I'm still a student and I'm pretty happy with my new U6H, much better than a Samsung Q60B that was the only alternative at my country and it were cheaper too. I'd like to know if you have the best configuration for image quality at your channel subscription paid?
Out of the box it is not good, I had to make a lot of adjustments to it and adjust the white balance since it’s washed out and has way to much red. It can be adjusted to be fixed, but otherwise you’ll need to wait for an update
I have 2 plasmas and an oled. One of them is a samsung. It is going out. I've had it over ten years. The new one will be replacing it. I'll check back in when I get it.
All tv's with VA panels have bad viewing angles. That's why I like my 75U7G with the IPS panel. Great picture. great viewing angles. It makes me laugh to see how many people bought the VA panels, thinking they were so much better than IPS. I will put my IPS next to any VA panel and 90% of the time it will win. VA panels are only great if you live alone lol Invite some friends over to watch the game, and while you may have the best seat in the house for viewing... everyone else will be thinking your tv sucks lol unless you go with OLED for 2 or 3 times the cost.
I bought a 65 Hisense and I regrettably didn't research the different operating systems. I bought the Hisense 65" U6GR (Roku TV) and I don't remember seeing or noticing the Hisense 65" U6H on Best Buy's website. I think I did notice negative reviews on a Hisense 4K TV with Google TV OS, so I think it's the reason behind sticking with another Hisense with Roku TV OS (I own a 50" Hisense 4K TV w/ Roku TV). I didn't even think to look into Google TV OS on a Hisense to see how it looks. I saw it recently on another RUclips channel, and I didn't realize it had more apps I could install, like for example Kodi being one of them. I have Amazon Firesticks w/ Kodi installed. I'm not sure if I should return my tv and exchange it for the U6H, sounds like it would be difficult to exchange, especially an even exchange, the price for my TV (U6GR) and the U6H increased from $499.99 to $599.99 after Christmas. They were both $499.99. So, what do you think I should do? Should I keep my 65" U6GR or try to exchange it for the 65" U6H? I do plan to eventually buy a 55" for my bedroom, so I will definitely go for the U6H model.

Set your brightness to less than 45. Contrast at 45 to 40. Make sure the contrast is off in the advanced settings too.
The TV is SUPER BRIGHT.
Is the 75” U8H a good buy at $1300 or should I wait for Black Friday?
$1300 is the black Friday price, it's showing up at $1500 now. Inventory has been sold out period so consider yourself lucky if you get one.
The consumer is the beneficiary competition...
Appreciate the Vid Q. While we’re talking Hisense i was wondering/hoping for the day where you have enough free time to review their short throw projectors. You’re the only reviewer i trust at this point lol
How is the upscaling and motion blur on the u6h 🤔
This guy is the real deal🤓
Hisense has been making panels for Sharp for years. The company finally acquired Sharp few years ago but unfortunately inherited the same software issues. No doubt Hisense is perfect in money for value, but the software issues are unforgiving. I basically avoid Sharp and Hisense.
U8H isn't available anywhere legitimate for sale?
Thoughts on u7h vs u8g?
Do you think all that grain and noise could be present on Samsung and Sony tv's too?
this was also my concern, how good the upscaling is?..it's the only reason i'm a bit hesitant to buy this tv
I'm still a student and I'm pretty happy with my new U6H, much better than a Samsung Q60B that was the only alternative at my country and it were cheaper too. I'd like to know if you have the best configuration for image quality at your channel subscription paid?
Is there a setup guide for the U6H?
What kind assistance are you looking for?
I heard that dolby vision is not good on u8h...is this true??? Plz get back to me
Out of the box it is not good, I had to make a lot of adjustments to it and adjust the white balance since it’s washed out and has way to much red. It can be adjusted to be fixed, but otherwise you’ll need to wait for an update
Do any Hisense TVs have a ATSC 3 Next Gen tuner?
I have 2 plasmas and an oled. One of them is a samsung. It is going out. I've had it over ten years. The new one will be replacing it. I'll check back in when I get it.
No news on the U9H yet... what's going on?
Bro can you pls pls pls tell le how do I become a member so i can watch ur membership videos only. Thank you in advance.
What about u7h?
Thanks Quantum
Please review the u6h
Quantum TV is the man!
S546 or U6H?
S546
Can anyone tell me if the U8H better then the tcl series 6 please?
IF you are outside the US, ignore this review...UK, Australian Hisense,,SUCK. Inferior screens and software and processors.
Is that the same for Canada? I think the Canada and US versions are close to the same (VA panels vs IPS in Europe/over seas) but not 100% sure.
Hisense has bad viewing angle other then that it's a pretty solid tv
All tv's with VA panels have bad viewing angles. That's why I like my 75U7G with the IPS panel. Great picture. great viewing angles. It makes me laugh to see how many people bought the VA panels, thinking they were so much better than IPS. I will put my IPS next to any VA panel and 90% of the time it will win. VA panels are only great if you live alone lol Invite some friends over to watch the game, and while you may have the best seat in the house for viewing... everyone else will be thinking your tv sucks lol unless you go with OLED for 2 or 3 times the cost.
Mine says made in Mexico.
