my friends like the new type of tower defense games, the gambling ones, while I like the real ones, such as tds and other non summoning skill based tower defense games. The problem is is that when I want to play a td game, the only ones they want to play are the ones with summoning such as anime adventures and vanguards.
May I introduce Anime World Tower Defense. The game has gambling but currency is easy to get from quests and rates are really good, each banner has pity for every 9 multis for a UR or higher. This game also differs from all the other ATDs in that you can evolve most characters so they stay useful and it has a category system where each unit has it's own categories based on the character's characteristics (like Swordmaster for character's who use swords, Pure Heart for characters with a kind personality, Treasure Hunter for characters whose goal is to look for a specific treasure) . Then they have a lead buff where if the specific unit is in the 1st slot of the team, if provides an ATK buff to every other unit on the team that is also on the category (So a unit that has a leader buff for SwordMaster of +130% ATK is put in the first slot and every other unit that is in the SwordMaster category gets this buff including the leader). There's more I could list but yeah AWTD is very F2P, max you need to spend is 500 robux for VIP for 3x speed but game gives everyone 2x speed. There are traits as well but they made them expensive enough that it isn't worth buying plus most of the game is beatable without them.
I love gambling....Well- Wait no- Alright so Yes these games are STUPIDLY braindead, Repetitive...But it's only fun when you're at a point where you actually need strategy....I have the meta units in the game and Anime Vanguards It's still difficult due to the way that the game forces you to shift from OP, braindead meta units to basic units which makes it challenging the only real reason I play these is because of the challenging aspect of the game however to get to the point of the game I had to be AFK, GRIND, MACRO, NON bloody stop and I'm at a point where I still can't progress because then it just gets to hard even with insanely op units this is a insight on how the game kinda makes you play even more I guess iT'S A PAIN IN THE ASS My friends do Braindeadly play those games where, OP unit = WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WINW INW INWWIN I don't see any fun in that... BUT PLENTY OF THESE GAMES HAVE SOME WAY OF IMPLEMENTING CREATIVITY
the only tower defense game i play with gambling that i think is fine is anime world tower defense, the currency for summons is stupidly easy to get and codes alone give you like 200 pulls and when i was a beginner it wasnt really that hard, Even now i dont use the banner anymore because its not needed to progress
playing td makes my time not in waste, the reason im playing it it just because of cool effect coming from their skills including my fav anime. ig its just the same from anyone
Gameplay loop consists of grinding for good units and then not playing until they release better units I only played a lot of all star tower defence so thankfully I didn't have to deal with the p2w trait bullshit The only thing I really had fun with in these kind of games is trading the community there is usually really big making it easy to get gamepasses completely f2p The events are usually enjoyable for the first few hours as well Other than that just buy btd6

ATD games in Roblox are Gacha games that Fails To Be A Gacha game and it's worse than a normal Gacha game because actual Gacha games has actually great art great music and great designs even you can say Anime Studios Level of animations

It's respectable that you play games like TDS and TDX cuz you don't need to gamble towers and the game is very balanced

Only problem with awtd is that it’s just not good enough. The devs really don’t seem to care at all about new players, and the progression sucks
