Still the best offensive player the Knicks have ever had. Unstoppable and carried his team to winning seasons.

I said "offensively". I'm very aware of the great 70's teams. As a pure 1 player scoring weapon, Bernard in his prime with Knicks was the best.

When Benrard King is feeling good, no one is better with the ball in his hand. To score 50 in this era was heroic. Even scoring 30 or 35 was a huge game. There has been a lot of inflation in scoring where 50 is now commonplace because all the rule changes since 1980 have favored the offense, and players today no long feel bad when they play no defense.

The King baseline turnaround. One of the hardest shots to stop in the history of basketball.

I remember being in high school watching this game, going to school the next day that's all we talked about. We all wanted to play like BK. We even did our own Marv Albert play by play on the playgrounds!

King was a good ball handler as well as an unstoppable force. If he had never injured his knee, he would have scored well over 30k points, AND would have have a ring woth Ewing.
This video is proof that when he went on a roll, King was unstoppable.

The keys used to be clogged up in those days boy all of King's shots are from or in the key, no threes and it was very clogged, most shots were through double team.Would of killed todays players for real cause there are more space and less defence in today's NBA.

50-50 for Bernard King! You know, when I typed his first name, my last name appeared in the spellchecker! SO pleased to have the same first name as he!
