I feel kinda sorry for both Jason and Aria in this scene. Obviously, Aria loves Ezra and would never cheat on him, but (if she was single) I think Jason would grow on her and they may have ended up together, even for a short period. Her face kind of drops when Jason comes back around the corner and sees her with Ezra. She obviously cares for him, partly because he helped Mike out, and partly because he's just a nice guy overall.I feel sorry for Jason because he's had some of his hope smashed in this scene and in the scene where Aria tells him she's seeing someone. He's got very few friends in Rosewood besides the Montgomerys and he was obviously starting to want to see Aria as more than a friend. Then he comes around the corner to see her with Ezra, who he knows is her ex-teacher. Honestly, I think if it had been a normal teenage boy she'd been with, Jason would've stuck around on the sidelines, hoping that Aria would break up with said boyfriend and then make a move, but with Ezra, he can tell almost immediately that the risk her and Ezra are taking (being in a student/teacher relationship) obviously means that they love each other *a lot* and there is no way he's going to be able to be with her any time soon.
Even after finding out about Aria’s kiss with Jason and him being so hurt he still rushed to protect her. Telling people may have strained there relationship for a while but it’s also what fixed it 💖🤍💖
Awhh I love this scene. Thank god he's finally grown a pair but I feel sorry for Jason he looks really hurt when he's handing her the box :( I'm stillllll torn. Thanks for the upload :)
If I was directing I would have had him lean back against his car, with his head slightly bent facing down, but his gaze looking up towards J & A (like James Dean)…
I think he figured he made a silent statement toJason by coming to Jason’s house & taking her back. By being a teacher & therefore expectant role model, he knew he had to take the high road & watch his mouth. He doesn’t need another reason to be fired! 😂❤

I think he actually felt more than just attraction for her the first time in the church at Ali’s “funeral”. There she says she would never do anything to hurt him & kisses him on the cheek, rubs his arm, and walks way. You can tell he begins to actually process the loss of control over her & getting to spend time with her - because he did target her after all as having the most in common with him. So, he actually set himself up to “fail” & to fall for her. Didn’t think that part through well. As she walks away he grabs her & kisses. Then she lovingly moves some hair to the side & caresses down his face. Watch him watch her walk away…he looks totally enamored…and in love. ❤
Too bad Ross couldn’t say the line he is to me and the line I don’t wanna lose you to Rachel when she told him about Mark. If only Ross was a little more gentle with his words. Maybe she would have understand
