A Marine taught me about body posture, stand tall, how to never walk with head down. Even in rain. When first walking into a building or store, to scan room, look for exits, and count occupants. After parking car, while walking away, stop and pivot to get a mental picture of your parked car in relationship to the parking lot. If possible, shop on Tuesday mornings, when there are the least amount of people also shopping, to ensure safety and most shelves are fully stocked. Listen more than you speak, never give away information, the ‘weather’ is a safe topic.
I knew a SEAL when I was a barber and got some camouflage tricks from him. My uncle was a Ranger until he mysteriously disappeared and taught me cool tricks like prying the lead off and dumping the powder in a bird's nest and bang knife on a rock to get a spark, etc. I love learning tricks
SEALS aren't the only ones who do this. Martial artists do too. And I was taught this technique back in 1976 to help my mom get past panic attacks. I used it for myself when in the field as a geologist. Who knew?
Thanks MD… I’m going to have my Grand Daughter try this, she gets So So Anxious at Test Time !!! She’s Pre Med & Taking Tests are her Weakness… She becomes So Anxious. By the time she calms herself down. She is far into her Test & feels as though she hasn’t done well 🤷♀️ I’m not a good test taker either, so I know her pain !!! Thanks for the Advice… We’re going to definitely try this 🤩 Until the next one 😉💞🇺🇸
I had a molar extracted yesterday, one of the things I used that help was the “4,7,8 breath” used in Yoga. I’ve had two anxiety attacks in my life and they were both in barber chairs….😂
Lol I agree. Breathing reduces pain. I had biofeedback sev yrs ago, & learned how important breathing in a continuous pattern is in real time, w/my blood pressure lowering almost immediately. There's a reason women have been doing this forever, & we have a higher tolerance for pain. We wouldn't be able to handle giving birth otherwise.
This also cures hiccups, Short shallow breathing is bad, the lungs do not clear the CO2 and draw in fresh Oxygen, slow determined breathing flushes the CO2 making space for O2 rich air into the lungs. Clutch your pearls and breath deep and slow, CO2 in the lungs triggers the inhale reaction, Must exhale the CO2 at all costs.

I’ve been sleeping like a baby. I have embraced what is coming and have accepted it. I am ready for life or death.
Good information
fear is just adrenaline.. a superpower... also a helluva drug... change my mind ;
Didn’t know there was a name for this. I learned it having a child and I seem to do it when I leave the house anymore. Composure 😐lol
