    6:30 The passenger side light appears to be brighter, or does not switch between the High Beam to Low Beam.
    I actually had the bulb installed upside down. This was later corrected by removing the bulb and reinserting it after 180* turn.

    I have a 2020 Honda Fit LX, I watched your video and I am considering purchasing the same bulb, I called the company and they encouraged me to get the resistor kit as I might get a code from the computer as the lights may flicker, what I don’t like about the resistor kit is that I was told it gets hot and I do not want to drill any holes to mount it inside the headlight surroundings. Great video thank you for your help.

      I'm trying to find a head unit that can run dual apps side by side. I'd like to be able to run Waze & Google Maps at the same time for traffic and speed updates. So far I haven't been successful. At the moment I'm currently using a tablet mounted via the CD player slot. It works but flat and in the dash would be better. It's still on the project list though.

      Hi Brad, I googled your beamtech head lights and they look exactly the same as mine, just rebranded. I purchased them through superbrightleds.com and that is the name that they have printed on them.
      As I mentioned in another comment when I was showing off the lights before and after, the passenger side headlight was installed upside down. This is why there appears to be no difference when I switch between low and high beams on the passenger side.
      This was fixed for the end of the video when I was driving in the dark down the service road.

    Hi, I have a couple of questions...
    1.) So do these work with the "Auto" feature that most Fits have or do you have to manually change the beams from like for example, "Off - Low Beam (which is the second turn I believe) "
    2.)My factory halogen headlights are like a 3 in 1, for example, they have a daytime feature very dim. They also have a low beam the one you use at night turns on by itself. And then the high beam for when it is really dark. Are these strictly low beams you use at night time and high beam or do they also have that daytime feature?
    I hope these questions make sense, thanks!

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  3 года назад +4

      To the best of my understanding they do work with the auto feature. I drive a manual so in my case when I release the ebrake they would come on.
      I believe the day time running light is completely separate from this bulb. (I don't have fog lights) but I believe you are talking about the lights @0:10 These lights do come on automatically when I start the car. Since I was in a closed space I just activated the lights by rotating the switch manually. I hope this helps.

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  Год назад +2

      That's a hard question...
      Make sure all the maintenance is up to date first. Fluid changes, belt, spark-plugs etc.
      Accessories:
      A dash camera would be my first choice. It makes police investigations and insurance claims go a lot quicker.
      L.E.D. head lights obviously, a battery jumper and air-pump.
      Modifications:
      Oil catch can ASAP. This helps prevent contaminates that will slowly start to build up on your valves. This is a common issue on the newer GDI engines.
      I haven't installed it yet, but the Progress rear Sway Bar seems to be everyone's first recommendation for all generations of the FIT.
      The FIT isn't a fast car, but it's light and handles well so I would say it's better to spend money on suspension upgrades then performance parts.
      When you need to replace your battery, upgrade it from a 151r to a 51r. This is a Honda Civic/Accord battery that's roughly the same physical size but will provide more cold cranking amps.
      Video in the making:
      I like the pedal commander, but not for $300. $200 maybe $225.
      I recently learned about a similar product that comes with a disable mode that would help prevent
      My Fit just hit 100k this year so I'll be upgrading and installing a few things I know everyone is interested in.

    Does adding stronger and brighter light bulbs to your vehicle require a battery upgrade ? Like a bigger or stronger battery ?

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  6 месяцев назад +2

      No. These are LED bulbs which use less power than the factory incandescent bulbs.
      I also run a 18" light bar in the lower grille, which draws a lot more power.
      ruclips.net/video/-eEviRN5nhM/видео.htmlsi=p1wZuuZyZkErRhBf
      The bigger issue, at least with LED headlights is going to be the CANBUS electrical system.
      Newer cars are equipped with the CANBUS system and it is sensitive to any modifications.
      Since the LED bulb draws less power, some brands require resistors, ballasts, or other add on devices to prevent any hyper flashing or other headlight related issues.
      This is why it is also important to buy from a reputable brand.

      Hi Jeremy,
      The best I can help you with is SuperBrightLeds.com (No affiliation)
      On the main page locate "Find LED Bulbs for your car or motorcycle"
      This will bring up multiple options for each replacement bulb including color and brightness.
      I don't have exact link info but here is the spec info.

    What is the bulb number? Is it 9003?

      Hi Jason,
      It looks like H4 and 9003 are interchangeable. The bulb I purchased was an H4 socket type.

      It looks like the website I used has been updated and you're no longer able to filter by your vehicle type :(

      When this happened to me I had to remove the wheel and wheel liner to fish it out 🤦‍♂️.
      There is a pen size tool that is retractable pole with a magnet at the end that is perfect for these situations.

    Unless you adjust your camera to have the same aperture and shutter speed, for both photos, the photo of the original lamps and tne LED replacement, looking at the photos you have taken will not give you a good idea of the difference. Your camera, when it sees the brighter lamps, will simply reduce the aperture and increase the shutter speed, in order to make the brighter lamps look more like the original, less bright lamp. Any attempt to make a comparison should be accompanied by info about shutter speed and aperture, and if in a film style camera, the film speed.

      Hi Teddy,
      I agree that both video clips should be from the same camera and at the same settings should be used. Both the incandescent and L.E.D. bulb were filmed on a GoPro7 - 2k - at 60fps.
      However I don't agree with my camera seeing "brighter lamps will reduce the aperture and increase the shutter speed, in order to make the brighter lamps look more like the original, less bright lamp."
      You can see in the video that that is not the case.
      We're going from a dim lit yellowish bulb to a bright clear white that can easily be picked up on camera.

      @@HondaFit4Adventure Yes, the LED headlights look somewhat brighter than the halogen headlights, but I strongly suspect that if you had the same aperture and shutter speed settings, for both images, the difference in brightness would be even more pronounced. But don't take my word for it, try it and see what happens. If you have an inexpensive camera like my web cam, which does not have a separate control for shutter speed and aperture, all but the very least expensive web cams will at least have an "exposure" setting (which simultaneously sets both shutter speed and aperture). For a web cam it is likely to be in the downloadable software that comes with the camera,. Make sure it is not set to automatic, try different numbers, and finally, settle on the same number for LED headlights, as for halogen.

    Lay off the crack bud you are going to fast and twitchy! (Dumb joke I know) my mother just gave me her 2015 fit because she wanted a Toyota Venza and I’m trying to figure out what bulbs to go with. How are they doing months later? I got a set for my wrangler and they started to poop out and be less bright about a year after install.
