"Couldn't leave him with those cold, dead, eyes. The look of a building existential life crisis." The hardest I've laughed in weeks. The last thing I was expecting in a video about sewing a cute dinosaur plush with a heart on it. Oh, my sides!
Thank you for the free pattern... I ended up makeing this little dino... I was going to sew by hand then figured just use the machine. I was going to give it to my nephew and brought it to work as I was going to see him afterwards, the staff thought it was cute and dino quickly became the office mascot... Back to the sewing machine lol... Thanks again stay awsome
Ahhh! This is so cute!!! I just got a new neighbor and he adores dinosaurs (he's 4) so I thought I'd make him a plush! I sat for hours watching videos tat told me "now sew dino piece 5 A.2 to dino piece 5 A.2" with no real instruction. This was a great help!
I was looking for a nice dinosaur pattern for a while, I came across these. I love your dinosaur patterns and so do my boys, a couple have been kidnapped! Some will be going in this years occ shoeboxs and I'm sure will make some children very happy. Thanks.
This is so cute! I squeed at the tiny gusset.😆 This plush also reminds me of Nessy, maybe I'll make one in green. I'm suggesting a chibi Rex as your next project.
Thank you so much! I have a Nessie pattern that is very similar to this one, but it has flippers instead of little feet! I'll have to film that some time. Love the idea of a chibi t-rex 😂💕
I'm not making this, i just thought I'd watch a video of somebody making a plush to familiarise myself with the process, as I'm planning on making my own design. very good video!💥💥
Thank you Sarah for your great tutorials , because of your detail and easy to follow videos I am able to start making my own dinosaurs theme plushies. I've made Brachiosaurus, Steggie and T-rex and even the Among us ones hence many more other creation after. My kiddos definitely love it. Thx for being an inspiration :)
thank you so much for making this tutorial and template / pattern! the instructions were very easy to follow. it was really fun to make and i absolutely adore it! 😊
Thanks for sharing this tutorial and the pattern design, it's easy to follow. I just made one while ago, i used velvet fabric & followed your tutorial and it came out quite neat. Thanks again!♥
I would recommend fabrics that have some stretch like fleece or minky. You could use quilting cotton, but I would size up the pattern a little and clip the seam allowance so that it turns right side out easier. Good luck with your project!
This DIY is awesome and that plush is seriously adorable 😍 You asked for suggestions at the end of the video and I have one! A Spinosaurus plush would be really cool to see as it's my favourite dinosaur 😊😊
I made this with some cotton fabric. I don't feel like it worked as well as it might have with kinky bc the bottom piece just wouldn't align but I did it with some Jurassic park fabric for my girl and she loved it so TY.
Yes, you can make it with cotton fabric :) All the holiday prints are so fun! Since cottons don't typically have any stretch it may not look exactly the same and will likely turn out smaller. I would size up the pattern a bit to make your life easier!
So I want to do this at school but I don't know how big the templates should be. Can anyone help me? And this dinosaur looks sooo cute your instructions are super good
This absolutely adorable!! Thank you for sharing your amazing designs for free!! I would definitely pay for this pattern. I also appreciate your tips throughout for beginner sewists (like me). I can't wait to see what else you have to share 🤗
So cute! Where did you get your fabric? Do you have a link to it if you bought it online? I'm having trouble finding fleece that's not too think cause I don't have a walking foot
I actually get my fabric at a small local shop! You can buy minky at fabric.com though (I use shannon fabrics brand). Joanns has "Soft & Minky" or "Sew Lush Fleece" you could try. :)
how does stretch impact the plushie? I’m interested in making my own patterns and I’m curious to know why I should want the stretch to go in any particular direction.
The stretch will impact the plush more depending on how firmly it is stuffed. I find that I like the look of the stretch direction vertical vs horizontal for this plush, but it can be sewn in either direction. If the cut of the fabric stretches from right to left (horizontal) the plush may appear longer, but not as tall. I hope this helps! :)
I have been sewing folding turtles and they are in a egg and hatch out , but would love to make a dinosaur hatching out is there a way I was thinking of doing your dinosaur.
I love it! I'm working on getting the supplies to try making one now... could you make a frog or a pig? Those are my daughter's favorite things and I would love to be able to make those for them!!
@@seamslikesarah Oh great! If you really want to try it, I would recommend using either brown fleece or a short-napped fabric like velboa and white for the tusks. A mammoth has a profile shape similar to an elephant except that the back slopes downward from the shoulders to the rump instead of being horizontally convex. I'm not sure if you make up your own patterns like me; if you do I hope it helps! 🙂
So cute! 🥰 I would love to see you make a T-Rex next! I love dinosaurs and I would like to try to make a T-Rex as my next project! (I made the stegosaurus... so cute!!!)

Easy pattern to use.

Very nice! Happy to see you back.
Thank you! Glad to be back :)

Great tutorial, thanks! But what do we do with the final knot of the ladder stitch?
LOLOL Loved the technigue and the plush, but the ending, LOL, with his cold, dead eyes, lol, nice. We can all use a good laugh. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing this tutorial and the pattern design, it's easy to follow. I just made one while ago, i used velvet fabric & followed your tutorial and it came out quite neat. Thanks again!♥
Great job! And thank you! 🙂
Lol I did this by hand, took me the whole weekend. But it was worth it :)
Thank you for an excellent tutorial. I love my little Dinosaur
You're very welcome! I’m glad it was helpful ☺️
What do you think is the best stitch to use if you’re doing it by hand...? Just a really tight whip stitch?
Have you ever made one from quilting cotton or is stretch fabric necessary?
I would recommend fabrics that have some stretch like fleece or minky. You could use quilting cotton, but I would size up the pattern a little and clip the seam allowance so that it turns right side out easier. Good luck with your project!
Can I lengthen the tail and neck a little to make a diplodocus?
This is so cute. Thank you for the video and the free pattern. My grand baby will love this in her Easter basket. This was super easy to make.
Muchas gracias por tu tutorial, fácil y practico... un abrazo ...♥
i love these designs! i was wondering what the fabric you're using is called! is it fleece? i want to try making this cutie myself
Thank you! I use a fabric called minky, but I've made them with fleece too and it works really well!
Could you use fabric as well?
i love you so much ❤💕 and i made my plush with your pattern, thank you
Love this! Cute project, great instructions, too.

I would love to make this! Is it possible to use like a cotton fabric? This time of year they have all of the pretty holiday ones out!
Yes, you can make it with cotton fabric :) All the holiday prints are so fun! Since cottons don't typically have any stretch it may not look exactly the same and will likely turn out smaller. I would size up the pattern a bit to make your life easier!
