Your enthusiasm is infectious Byron. Another great vid and enjoyed the cut aways to Slats - helps provide context between the review element and the designers intentions 👌 the Infeet range is pretty extensive to be fair, but for me a 7'3 / 7'4, 2-5kg, short butt, cork grips, faster taper, lower end power for pulling shell munching donkeys out of structure - and for the love of God a hook keeper above the reel seat. I don't ask for much. Hahaha.

Gday Byron I am a kid who absolutely loves fishing and I have fell in love with the Infeet range. I specifically love the 732 ULFS because blades and soft plastics are my favorite types of lures. I also find the grip of the 732 ULFS amazing. I also really like the new Infeet SK I think the grip is amazing because I find the Millerods type grip really amazing.I would be super happy if I won that rod I would either pair it with a the new Infeet reel or a Vanford. Great video mate see you in the next one.

Hi Byron, Ioved the start, had me smiling and really keen for the rest of the clip, the moving camera, location changes etc worked well I thought 🙌. I'm really excited by the look of this rod, I throw a lot of light soft plastics, and while I've got some nice rods I still haven't found the one I'm really confident with. If I was after another infeet model, it'd be a 6'8 or 6'9 2-5 kg I could use as my kayak/bass/rack rod something with some meat down low, but supple enough to throw surface or plastics and small skirted jigs.. cheers mate, top stuff! 🤞🤞🤞

Have to agree with most comments here regarding heavier rods and say that within the infeet range they could add a 2-5kg sub 6’8 rod, including a slightly longer butt section than a certain competitors. There’s only 4 Sk models, so possibly they may add to these?

Love the vid Byron, I don’t know much about the Infeet rods. I’m going to describe my favourite rod type and maybe it will match one of the Infeet’s out there, and if not then that is what I’d like to see in the future.
I like my rod to have a subtle tip so that you can feel all the bites, I also like a solid backbone as I sometimes target the smaller Jewfish and it’s nice to have I bit of strength through the blank. As for length I’d say around the 7 foot mark maybe slightly shorter, and my desired handle would probably be EVA foam or cork.
    Cheers

I just recently bought the TD Black Wicked Weasel for it to be my new landbased bass rod. As a landbased fisho I needed a rod that can impart action into and cast the light lures, but could also handle a long cast with heavier lures such as football jigs or spinnerbaits, so in the future, if I commit to the step up in price, I would love to see an infeet with a landbased bass focus (a do all rod with some sensivity and some back bone, that casts a mile - which I understand is a difficult ask).
I am also in the market for a rod to chase big flathead on where I would predominantly be casting 5 inch plastics on heavy jig heads, but the issue is I don't want a rod so stiff the hooks pull or I don't get to enjoy the fight.

Personally, for bream, I'm a land-based fisho and what i would like to see from Diawa in the infeet range is some shorter rods, these would be much easier for me to maneuver especially as i climb under jetties or boat sheds, or cast/drop down on ridiculous structure to get on top of the fish to drift my plastics, crabs or mussels down into the strike zone. I find this type of fishing much more exciting than boating as getting to the spot is just as much of a challenge as landing the fish is. the rods would be from about 5.10 to 6.2 to allow the lure to not hang too far from the structure. just my personal opinion though

I know the pillow talk I am now going to have to have with the wife is, "babe the 712 LFS is even better than the 732 LFS, you know the satisfaction that has brought me, I am happy to clean the bathrooms for the next 6 months if I can put the 712 into my quiver!"
What I also believe would be an absolute gold marketing decision by Daiwa (and other well known companies) is; offer customers subscription services that give them opportunties for product testing days and includes discounts on their products. Sick vid Byron, just wanna say that the Infeet range seems great but one thing I’d love to see is a slightly heavier rod for chasing bigger fish such as flathead, something that I wouldn’t have a problem throwing bigger lures like the double clutch 98mm or bigger plastics with heavier jig heads👍🏼

Notwithstanding your enthusiasm for "the rod", I think I need that top water rod for Christmas. To add to the choir - an 8 footer would be my first pick. Although not to everyone's liking, I prefer minimalist and foamless set up - skeleton reel seat, and a hard material seat topper (I quite like the feel of AG's TiAlsensifore)

Gonna buy that rod now byron awesome video as always, there are so many good rods in the infeet range that it took a bit of thinking to find the missing rod, in my opinion they need to make a 2-4kg fast tapered rod for bass the ideal length would be 7ft but I would also like to see a 7ft 6in rod for small surface swimbaits and the ags guides would just make this rod feel incredible

I would be keen on a shorter rod for some of the skinny water fishing for species such as bass. I have found the 6’6 rods being just that little bit too big in some of the areas I fish regularly for bass.
Also, probably extremely unlikely but some form of travel like rod to keep in the back of the Ute at all times. Think of a 20 infeet version of the wilderness rods.

Hey mate I actually bought one of the noodle rods the other week. It is extremely whippy might I say but makes perfect for unweighted plastics flicking land based around Sydney for bream in the city. I loved how I could shake the tip so lightly and wiggle lightly weighted risky up from pylons and other structure. Wish it would recover quicker tho but still a cracker rod in my opinion

I know Daiwa just released baitcast Infeet rods, but it'd be awesome if they did a shorter version, around 6' - 6'6", short butt (for kayak fishos) with a lot of backbone to pull bass (and bream) out of snags. We need more BFS rods in Aus 😊

Great video Byron, this comment is for the giveaway, I’m not to familiar with the Infeet range of rods but I’m going to have to say that my favorite type of rod is one with a nice light tip but also has a very good backbone so that you have that little bit more reassurance if you hook onto a bigger fish, also I’d say my preferred length of rod is around the 6’10”. as for handles I like the EVA foam handle.
So if there is a Infeet rod that is what I’ve described, that is what I would probably lean towards

I’m really gonna be honest with you, I’ve never bought a rod over $300. The most expensive rod I own right now is a td black, which has seen everything from trevally, bream, flathead and a Jack. But recently I started thinking about saving up for a dedicated bream setup. But the infeet 712fls just looks like the perfect rod for bream and accidental bycatch. The more models I want to see in the infeet range are 7ft, that can cast heavier plastics and hard bodies (catching big flathead with style). Btw I loved the video.
