There are countless characters in the show who were just born freakishly strong and were able to go toe to toe with a demon even before they started training as swordsmen. **SPOILER ALERT** . There are only 2 ways for a person to get the Demon Slayer Mark. The first and most common way is that they must have been in the presence of a person with a Demon Slayer Mark for a certain amount of time. That is why it was some what common for the first few generations of Demon Slayers to have the mark, due to them having had the mark unintentionally passed on to them from Yoriichi when they trained with him and then the following generation of demon slayers getting it from their masters and so forth. And in this generation of demon slayers, Tanjiro got the mark from his dad, and eventually passed on the mark to Muichiro and Kanroji, and then they proceeded to pas on the Demon Slayer Mark to the rest of the Hashiras. Though side not, all the demon slayers who are in the pressence of someone with the mark end up inheriting it. Whether it's a matter of a person needing to having a certain level of strength to be able to inherit the mark, or maybe there is another additional requirement, we dont know. The second and extremely rare way for people to get the mark is by being born with it like Yoriichi and Tanjuro (Tanjiro's dad). The weird thing about this is that those who are born with the mark is that they by default are able to use the ability to see into the Transparent World and another ability which allows them to enter the Selfless State like Yoriichi and Tanjiro's dad. Meanwhile among the rare people who have managed to aquire a Demon Slayer Mark, there is an even more rare minority of people who have managed to to be able to use those two abilities.
Before, Muichiro didn’t have any reaction to the news of Rengoku’s death. But now, after he’s regained his memories and expressing more emotions, when he saw the hilt he remembered and started crying. Seeing how more people were affected by his death really shows how great of a character Rengoku was 🥹
In the manga, if I remember correctly he was like apologizing for not reacting to Rengoku’s death and cried or smth, I don’t know which ep it was supposed to be but kinda sucks if they didn’t include that part.
As for Muichiro he's currently 14 years old. He's the one that earned the title of a hashira in two months. He also participated in the final selection with Aoi.

Tokito is a monster. He’s a child prodigy. If we go back and look at season 2 , the Sound Hashira hyped Tokito up. Remember, he told Gyutaro that there were other Hashira more amazing than him. And they showed Tokito’s image.
I mean additionally he awakened a mark, the difference between marked hashira and none marked hashira is huge, Tokito would have died fighting that UM without a mark, he was numbed from the poison he would have gotten clapped. Tengen looks more impressive in his fight because physically he’s one of the strongest and fastest hashira, he relies more on his raw strength and speed over his breathing and swordsmanship, because he’s not really a swordsman, but Tokito is a much better swordsman, and amped with a mark he’s like top 3-4 hashira.

Nah Gyokko was definitely trash even before Mui got the mark. Gyokko was always trash. Any hashira could have killed him for sure. Considering that speed is the only thing that mattered here, even tengen who is confirmed to be the fastest hashira would have ended it sooner.
@@anthonygarcia3922 Nah Muichiro was dead before that mark appeared. He was poisoned and could no longer move really once he got out of the water pot. It was only thanks to the mark he could fight off the poison and all his abilities got a massive power up. As that is what the slayer mark does. Gives a massive power up when it appears. Which is why he collapsed after the mark disappeared. The power up faded and the poison began affecting him again.

But Gyoko didnt believe that muichiro can cut his head. he even didnt realize his head is decapitated more than a second. Gyutaro use a skill because he know his head will be cut off. If Gyoko have a ability to blow himself also he cant use it either because hes confident enough that they cant cut his head.
Y’all got to remember that before muichiro got the demon slayer mark gyokko packed him up! Muichiro was SAVED and then evolved. The slayer mark basically triples their capabilities.
In the manga, the author talks about Mitsuri's uniform. The dudes that make the uniforms apparently try to push that kind of clothes to every woman. Shinobu got hers, was pissed and went back and burned it in front of them. Mitsuri is too kind hearted to complain, so she just rocks with it...

Something from the manga the show glossed over, the reason Gyokko was so unprepared for the attack that killed him was because that Mist Breathing form Tokito used, when Tokito is visible he looks like he's moving slowly really slowly but when he's concealed by the mist he's moving faster than the blink of an eye. Gyokko was decapitated so easily because he literally didn't see the attack that killed him

It was a combination of a cheerily overconfident villian and a character awakening a new level of power. He felt like he was in the zone after he unlocked the mark. The same one Tanjiro has, it's a signal of strength for a demon slayer. Of achieving a certain height.
Muichiro defeated Upper Moon Gyokko like it was nothing just casually walked past him. But it simply shows how much the mark boosts ones strength and speed. That makes me wonder how different the fight between Gyutaro and Uzui would’ve been if Uzui had also unlocked his mark back then too

If I remember correctly, Tengen mentioned Muichiro becoming a hashira after just two months of training, so there's no doubt he is strong. Gyokko wasn't trash, in my opinion, but was made to appear that way because Muichiro had that advantage when the mark appeared; otherwise, I believe the match would have been more evenly matched.
Muichiro is just that good. Even back in season 2, Tengen says there are people who are way more special that he is, then they showed Gyomei and Muichiro.
We gotta agree that that fight was much more simple compared to UM6, even if Uzui fought alone 1v2 without poisoning and having to worry about the others, would still be tough
Tokito is a desendant of the Sun Breather which makes him naturally OP and has the most potential of all the Hashira. Think of it as being an Uchiha/Senju.
The anime has already mention that the first breather has no descendents in his talk with Tanjiro ancestor Sumiyoshi. He was merely a family friend. However Muchiro being a twin is an interesting tidbit.

I haven't read the manga but I feel like the twin tidbit kinda made a theory I had make a whole lot of sense and cleared up some of the confusion I had. This show likes to dwell on the past and ancestors a lot and most people don't know that when you have twins it's typically because you had other twins somewhere in your family tree. So my theory is the first sun-breather didn't have an heir but what if his brother did and that brother is upper rank demon 1 because everyone always mixes them up due to them looking similar and that's because they're twins. It would also explain why he's number one and why muzan doesn't really bother him like the others which is scary. This is still my working theory tho and I still feel like I'm missing something so I can't quite confirm it yet and I don't want to spoil it for myself.

I think Sheera is forgetting that all demons can regrow their own heads and any part of there bodys the only way they can die is getting beheaded with a nichirin sword that absorbs sunlight so any demon can regrow their head by it just getting punched off thats why uppper 2 regenrated it

I think Muichiro is that nasty, think of how insane Tanjiro became with his mark when he fought Daki/Gyutaro and pieced up the three upper 4 demon's emotions earlier this season. Now imagine how a hashira level demon slayer becomes with that mark. Imagine Rengoku had that mark when he fought Akaza or Tengen when he fought Gyutaro. It's an insane boost, would love to see how the Zohakuten's fight plays out

Kind of both. Gyokko is a threat but Muichiro used his own weakness against him. Remember how Muzan said that they're falling in order of who has the most humanity? The small bit of humanity left in Gyokko was his love for art. Muichiro (who is also like a Demon Slayer prodigy) used that against him to take him off his guard and then used his strongest move to clap him. Muichiro is just strong af and got into Gyokko's head.

10:26 Mitsuri's uniform was actually made by a perverted kakushi, she thought it was the normal uniform for female demon slayers when she first attended the hashira meeting and saw shinobu's uniform she informed her about how she burned the uniform he made for her infront of him and same goes for kanao because it was too revealing, but mitsuri was too shy to ask for a different one
I am curious about the skirt though. Shinobu and her older sister wore pants meanwhile Mitsuri and Kanao had skirts. Aoi had pants too but I'm not even sure if she's wearing a demon slayer uniform.

Gyokko is not trash whatsoever. He's Upper Moon 5 for a reason. He is stronger than UM6, but the reason he seems so much weaker is due to how strong Muichiro is. Mui is just an absolute MENACE. Think about it, Gyokko has an attack that launches 10,000 hungry fish towards you. If you cut them, you can't have any of the blood touch your skin as it's poisonous. His fists are harder than diamond and have the ability to turn anything he touches into fish. Whether that's your sword, your body, whatever the case! If you're a Demon Slayer and he touches your sword, that's GG. Those two abilities by themselves are OP af. Plus all of his other attacks: Poison Needle Fish, Water Prison Pot, Octopus Tentacles, and his "ultimate" move, Killer Scales, which makes him move unpredictably fast. Btw, I thought that attack was severely underwhelming in this episode. It looked a lot more threatening in the manga. He was bouncing off trees and the area he was traveling in seemed much wider, rather than up-close in Muichiro's face. It took Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko and Tengen to defeat UM6, and they all nearly died in the process! It goes to show the power scaling between Muichiro and everyone else in this show. He is HIM and is without a doubt one of the strongest Hashira. Of the 9, he ranks between 3rd-5th, depending on who you're talking to. Valid arguments for all positions. Nah, I don't think Mitsuri could have defeated Gyokko. She'll put up a fight against UM4 though. We will see next week.
In my opinion, he's only stronger than UM6 because of daki who muzan literally said holds gyutaro back, without daki in the picture gyutaro would be a whole different menace and stronger than gyokko also gyutaro's poison is far more potent/lethal than gyokko's,iirc his poison is the most fatal poison in the entirety of demon slayer hence why people said a single cut(a cut not a slash) could kill a person in a few seconds also had gyutaro fought the group alone he would've won handily like muzan stated in episode 1, daki is the sole reason gyutaro lost and also very likely the reason that he's even upper 6 in the first place.

He had infinite minions, theoretically infinite instant travel ability, can auto-kill in one hit, even other demons He isn't "cool looking", but he was still very powerful and useful. So about Mitsuri's top. Apparently there was a bonus chapter that Shinobu mentioned when she got her Hashira outfit it was also the same open top. She had to order a non open top uniform.
Muichiro is called a prodigy lol. He's one of the descendents of sun breather just like tanjiro hence the mark that appears. Bro became a hashira in 2 months and is younger than tanjiro who took more than a year to even qualify as a demon slayer. Muichiro + that mark overleveled his stats that gyokko didn't had a chance. Gyokko is not like 6th one as he uses underhanded and simple but effective traps to kill people. Poison of 2 types ( one on needle on over the skin) + fish monsters + that touch that can turn shiz in fish + that water trap that almost killed muichiro if it wasn't for that kid giving his air and getting stabbed. It was basically ypu make a mistake you die. Gyutaro the 6th would've been promoted above this vase nikka but he chose to prioritize his sister as mudan mentioned

Even Tengen, last season, said something like "I got no talent, especially compared to certain people among our ranks" and thought of Muichiro and the Earth Hashira. On top of that, he developed the mark which is a huge power boost overall. Gyokko was unlucky with the matchup.
On the manga when Gyokku stated "I was decaptided? Thats abnormal!" A narrator box popped up on the side of It saying " Gyokku is right, this situation is abnormal he should not lose that easily this is insane"

I liked how Muichiro's fight ended. Some people complained, even comparing it to the Tengen-Gyutaro battle. But I think one thing they don't realize is that Muichiro is very OP, which is why he was able to deafeat an upper rank on his own. He's incredibly gifted, and is stronger than Tengen. Plus not every fight scene will be flashy and explosive. Some are psychological warfare, which Gyokko seems to favor. And btw, please don't be mad for this is just my OPINION. 😅

The face mark can amplify a Demon Slayer's combat capabilities, that’s why Tanjiro can cut UM6’s head off in S2. Also, the same in ep 3 S3 with Sun Halo Dragon. If Muichiro didn't have the face mark, he would be dead.
10:27 AHAHA it's funny that you mention that cause there was an extra manga story about the uniforms and how the 'uniform division' Maeda Masao, who makes the uniforms made them all like that for the women and that it was "perfect" but Shinobu burned them in front of him and got a regular pair, she also lent the oil and matches to Kanao and Aoi to burn them as well, She offered the oil and matches to Mitsuri as well but because Mitsuri is too nice and was unable to burn it in front of him lol. Also I laughed when Roshi said "this is my final form" cause yeah that would have been a trash ass final form, but oddly enough they didn't adapt the ending of the fight as good as they could of, especially seeing how much they've dragged everything else out they could have at least not rushed the ending of this fight just to see Mitsuri's entrance. But it was a bit more in the manga. As well as all the other comments mentioning what Uzui said last season about how there are much better swordsmen than him, and flashing to Tokito!

It's like an entire goddamn season of ONE FUCKING FIGHT. It's incredible. Maybe the best fight sequence in manga history.

But also as much as I loved Uzui and the last season we didn't see much of his sound breathing forms and being a ninja maybe that played into his strength level? The Hashira aren’t officially ranked so simply by number, other than confirmation of the strongest. But they are ranked on other traits such as speed, physical strength, reflexes, etc.
Some confirmed one is Gyomei is the strongest many have confirmed it from the hashira themselves, to his future enemy, and i think the creator herself(idk abt this one) and i think sanemi is also the 2nd strongest one

The mark is a insanely crazy power boost. Gyokko is super strong, much stronger than Gyutaro last season. Just look at how he demolished Muichiro in two seconds before he got the mark

No, that's a misinterpretation of what Muzan said. Muzan said that Gyutaro was being held back by Daki since he made poor decisions in battle because of his love for her and his humanity. Daki didn't hold him back in strength. In fact, she only made him much stronger than he would've been otherwise.
The reason Muichiro killed Gyokko so easily is because he unlocked the Demon Slayer Marks. If he didn't, he'd lose. Also, Tanjiro isn't a descendant of the 1st breathing guy. Also, Doma's head popped back because demons can only be killed with Nichirin Swords or Sun. Otherwise being beheaded means nothing.

Meanwhile among the rare people who have managed to aquire a Demon Slayer Mark, there is an even more rare minority of people who have managed to to be able to use those two abilities.

It was only thanks to the mark he could fight off the poison and all his abilities got a massive power up. As that is what the slayer mark does. Gives a massive power up when it appears. Which is why he collapsed after the mark disappeared. The power up faded and the poison began affecting him again.
He was in the “zone” and he couldn’t explain why. Well, I suppose the marks had something to do with it.

I haven't read the manga but I feel like the twin tidbit kinda made a theory I had make a whole lot of sense and cleared up some of the confusion I had. This show likes to dwell on the past and ancestors a lot and most people don't know that when you have twins it's typically because you had other twins somewhere in your family tree. So my theory is the first sun-breather didn't have an heir but what if his brother did and that brother is upper rank demon 1 because everyone always mixes them up due to them looking similar and that's because they're twins. It would also explain why he's number one and why muzan doesn't really bother him like the others which is scary. This is still my working theory tho and I still feel like I'm missing something so I can't quite confirm it yet and I don't want to spoil it for myself.

I am curious about the skirt though. Shinobu and her older sister wore pants meanwhile Mitsuri and Kanao had skirts. Aoi had pants too but I'm not even sure if she's wearing a demon slayer uniform.

Gyokko is not trash whatsoever. He's Upper Moon 5 for a reason. He is stronger than UM6, but the reason he seems so much weaker is due to how strong Muichiro is. Mui is just an absolute MENACE. Think about it, Gyokko has an attack that launches 10,000 hungry fish towards you. If you cut them, you can't have any of the blood touch your skin as it's poisonous. His fists are harder than diamond and have the ability to turn anything he touches into fish. Whether that's your sword, your body, whatever the case! If you're a Demon Slayer and he touches your sword, that's GG.
Those two abilities by themselves are OP af. Plus all of his other attacks: Poison Needle Fish, Water Prison Pot, Octopus Tentacles, and his "ultimate" move, Killer Scales, which makes him move unpredictably fast. Btw, I thought that attack was severely underwhelming in this episode. It looked a lot more threatening in the manga. He was bouncing off trees and the area he was traveling in seemed much wider, rather than up-close in Muichiro's face.
It took Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko and Tengen to defeat UM6, and they all nearly died in the process! It goes to show the power scaling between Muichiro and everyone else in this show. He is HIM and is without a doubt one of the strongest Hashira. Of the 9, he ranks between 3rd-5th, depending on who you're talking to. Valid arguments for all positions.
Nah, I don't think Mitsuri could have defeated Gyokko. She'll put up a fight against UM4 though. We will see next week.
In my opinion, he's only stronger than UM6 because of daki who muzan literally said holds gyutaro back, without daki in the picture gyutaro would be a whole different menace and stronger than gyokko also gyutaro's poison is far more potent/lethal than gyokko's,iirc his poison is the most fatal poison in the entirety of demon slayer hence why people said a single cut(a cut not a slash) could kill a person in a few seconds also had gyutaro fought the group alone he would've won handily like muzan stated in episode 1, daki is the sole reason gyutaro lost and also very likely the reason that he's even upper 6 in the first place.
His attack actually doesnt work on nichirin swords, we see this on display in the battle.

Ik this is an old reaction but just incase anyone is watching it for the first time or rewatching it like me, keep in mind Tengen referred to some demon slayers being complete enigmas then they showed Gyomei & said someone even became a Hashira in as little as two months & they showed Tokito so that just shows how strong bro is mind you he’s like 10/11😭
I loved the music they used when Tokito was approaching Gyokko to decapitate him. It made that scene even more colder.❄️
Gyyoko's ultimate attack was turning his enemies into fish he deserved to get folded with ease
So about Mitsuri's top. Apparently there was a bonus chapter that Shinobu mentioned when she got her Hashira outfit it was also the same open top. She had to order a non open top uniform.
Muichiro is called a prodigy lol. He's one of the descendents of sun breather just like tanjiro hence the mark that appears. Bro became a hashira in 2 months and is younger than tanjiro who took more than a year to even qualify as a demon slayer. Muichiro + that mark overleveled his stats that gyokko didn't had a chance. Gyokko is not like 6th one as he uses underhanded and simple but effective traps to kill people. Poison of 2 types ( one on needle on over the skin) + fish monsters + that touch that can turn shiz in fish + that water trap that almost killed muichiro if it wasn't for that kid giving his air and getting stabbed. It was basically ypu make a mistake you die. Gyutaro the 6th would've been promoted above this vase nikka but he chose to prioritize his sister as mudan mentioned
Tokito was on some next level ish. He found emotion and chose savagery
Muichiro was always considered a prodigy even among the Hashiras. Even Tengen, last season, said something like "I got no talent, especially compared to certain people among our ranks" and thought of Muichiro and the Earth Hashira. On top of that, he developed the mark which is a huge power boost overall. Gyokko was unlucky with the matchup.

I liked how Muichiro's fight ended. Some people complained, even comparing it to the Tengen-Gyutaro battle. But I think one thing they don't realize is that Muichiro is very OP, which is why he was able to deafeat an upper rank on his own. He's incredibly gifted, and is stronger than Tengen. Plus not every fight scene will be flashy and explosive. Some are psychological warfare, which Gyokko seems to favor. And btw, please don't be mad for this is just my OPINION. 😅
Hell tengen himself that muichiro was an absolute enigma, complete freak of nature and stated he was the quickest to become a hashira. I forgot how long but I think it was like a few months or 2 years idr now XD

The face mark can amplify a Demon Slayer's combat capabilities, that’s why Tanjiro can cut UM6’s head off in S2. Also, the same in ep 3 S3 with Sun Halo Dragon. If Muichiro didn't have the face mark, he would be dead.
10:27 AHAHA it's funny that you mention that cause there was an extra manga story about the uniforms and how the 'uniform division' Maeda Masao, who makes the uniforms made them all like that for the women and that it was "perfect" but Shinobu burned them in front of him and got a regular pair, she also lent the oil and matches to Kanao and Aoi to burn them as well, She offered the oil and matches to Mitsuri as well but because Mitsuri is too nice and was unable to burn it in front of him lol.
Also I laughed when Roshi said "this is my final form" cause yeah that would have been a trash ass final form, but oddly enough they didn't adapt the ending of the fight as good as they could of, especially seeing how much they've dragged everything else out they could have at least not rushed the ending of this fight just to see Mitsuri's entrance. But it was a bit more in the manga. As well as all the other comments mentioning what Uzui said last season about how there are much better swordsmen than him, and flashing to Tokito!
the thing about mitsuri uniform is that
shinobu used to had it but she burned it because she dint wanna wear it and mitsuri was to shy to so yeah (shown in an extra chapter in the manga around this episode)

OR maybe they're planning on having a 2nd Cour for it for all we know. That's just my guess tho but all I have to say is that Infinity Fortress and Sunrise Countdown has to be on one season (cause the cliffhanger would be too much) 😭😭✋

I think you're right. And it'll probably only be two seasons, HTA+IC and then the Sunrise Countdown. So it'll be a few years before we FINALLY GET TO IT.
I'm telling you though, I can't wait for people to realize just how next level Yoriichi was. And how absolutely batshit the Sunrise Countdown fight is. It's like an entire goddamn season of ONE FUCKING FIGHT. It's incredible. Maybe the best fight sequence in manga history.
Tokito beat Gyokko because of the mark and the power up it gives which explains how he did it so easily while Tengen struggled against upper 6

I liked what Sheera said about Muchiro being a perfect match for the upper 5 and what Lupa was saying they are being complacent. But also as much as I loved Uzui and the last season we didn't see much of his sound breathing forms and being a ninja maybe that played into his strength level? He also acknowledged he isn't the strongest hashira as well..🤔 great reaction guys!❤
The Hashira aren’t officially ranked so simply by number, other than confirmation of the strongest. But they are ranked on other traits such as speed, physical strength, reflexes, etc.

Some confirmed one is Gyomei is the strongest many have confirmed it from the hashira themselves, to his future enemy, and i think the creator herself(idk abt this one) and i think sanemi is also the 2nd strongest one

The mark is a insanely crazy power boost. Gyokko is super strong, much stronger than Gyutaro last season. Just look at how he demolished Muichiro in two seconds before he got the mark

No, that's a misinterpretation of what Muzan said. Muzan said that Gyutaro was being held back by Daki since he made poor decisions in battle because of his love for her and his humanity. Daki didn't hold him back in strength. In fact, she only made him much stronger than he would've been otherwise.
The reason Muichiro killed Gyokko so easily is because he unlocked the Demon Slayer Marks. If he didn't, he'd lose. Also, Tanjiro isn't a descendant of the 1st breathing guy. Also, Doma's head popped back because demons can only be killed with Nichirin Swords or Sun. Otherwise being beheaded means nothing.
