I just saw it. A really good movie with a very powerful context. De Niro and DiCaprio performed with gusto, but they are surprisingly upstaged by Lily Gladstone as Mollie Burkhart.
agree 10000%
😂
I agree except for the use of “surprisingly”. I wasn’t surprised after having seen Ms Gladstone’s performances in Reservation Dogs “Offerings” (the best episode of a TV series that I’ve ever seen in 6 decades of watching) and the feature The Unknown Country. She has spoken about the enormous burden she felt as a Blackfoot actor portraying Wahzhazhe ancestors of several cast and crew members and I suspect it was more deeply felt than the burdens Scorsese, DeNiro, and DiCaprio report having felt. I suspect her having experienced racism that the guys could not really imagine weighed on her to be absolutely certain that she was not being a caricature of members of a tribe and nation that she doesn’t belong to. She’s gorgeous, nuanced, and so subtle but powerful on screen.
@@merkinidgitI knew I knew her from somewhere but forgot from where.
Best actress caliber performance
Every shot of this movie screams perfection. Also Lily Gladstone stood is just amazing.
Lily Gladstone deserves an Oscar for her performance. I'll be tuning in this year just to see how many awards this movie wins.
Came back from the theatre just now. 3.25 hours with no fillers. every single minute is well and fully used. You do not want to take a break for water, restroom or anything, because you know that every minute something crucial is happening.
exactly ! just saw it too... every moment riveting
I was really moved by the last scene. The powwow dancing, in a round with the music was stunning. Never in my life did I think I would see that dancing and that music as the key factor in a film. It was great.
Someone else made the comment about Lily Gladstone, that even when she is not on the screen, you are wanting to know what is happening to her. I totally agree and that to me indicates how great she was
A MASTERPIECE of Cinema and I think Scorsese's best film since Goodfellas. While Gladstone deserves all the praise she's getting for her screen presence here it's DICAPRIO's stellar performance that carries this film and a good reminder why he's one of the best actors working today. Arguably it's his best work...
Interesting how we can all have different opinions. I think it’s Scorsese’s one of the worst movies even though still good and important. There is nothing about it that would make me come back. Unlike with Casino or Godfellas.
Agreed! It’s certainly much longer and slower paced than either of those Scorsese classics but I think he thought (and the story demanded) a longer running time to do it justice. Of course it’s a matter of taste but don’t see how anyone can rank this achievement as one of his worst. I’d rather sit through a dozen consecutive screenings of this film than watch THE WOLF OF WALL STREET another time…
I just saw this movie 2x in a row today ! brilliant, since goodfellas !
I’ve seen it twice now. Tomorrow for the trifecta. I can’t wrong anything in this film. A complete masterpiece in every single way ❤
I saw it today with my wife. We absolutely loved every shot of it.
@@KartikeyaDutta yesss. The more I researched and watched interviews the more I appreciated the art of this film the 2nd time I watched it.
It is highly moving isn’t it? your wife and yourself will be thinking about it for weeks my friend. In an interview/s Bob and Marty said the tent scene with the chief was not scripted, as well as “Well don’t know what you said but it must be Indian for handsome devil”. Her reaction was a genuine laugh. So good.
By using improv Marty does right by story, actors and viewers. That’s why everything he makes is next level (one of the reasons) !
We'll be debating about the inner conflicts of Ernest Burkhart and evilness of King Hale for the time to come.@@Leopard_Lover
More power to Martin Scorsese if he can pull this stuff off at 80!
As a Choctaw, descending from Trail of Tears survivors, I deeply thank the team for this movie. Yakoke 🙏
I will be stunned if Lily Gladstone doesn't win every award on the planet for best performance!
She deserves whatever award she's got coming.
It’s almost fascinating how someone so down to earth and practical makes such unique movies. Normally you either have a technician or a talent, he is both at highest level. I hope he would have more time for more movies, Scorsese.
My fav movie of the year. This will age well, and just get better with every viewing. I’ve seen it twice, and need to see it again.
Martin Scorsese is one of the greatest directors, ever!
Leo as Ernest Burkhart delivers an intense performance of significant complexity. Loved it.
God bless you Leornardo Dicaprio and Lilly Gladstone ❤🎉😊
We will always support this channel. They’re one of the best
IT’S SO GOOD
Let’s goooo, I’ve been waiting for this all my life
DeNiro and Gladstone derserve oscars they were soo good!
Very well done with the look and feel of boom towns, cowboys and Indians and oil. It was the roaring 20’s and no place was more roaring than Osage County. One thing they got wrong, though. This land was not considered worthless before oil. It was at that time considered the best place on the planet to finish cattle (before the era of corn fattening in feedlots). The tall grass growing in shallow black topsoil around limestone rocks made this place the ideal location to put weight on cattle and the railroads made transportation in and out possible. The first time the Osage were called “the richest people on earth” was upon allotment, because each Indian had 657 acres that he could lease to cattlemen. Then the oil was found.
Great movie with soul...
The cast is the greatest❤
DiCaprio is the soul of his movies❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
De Niro should get credit for recommending to Scorsese this movie should be made.
damn that handshake between the Chief and Martin :) #powerful
I’m watching this movie now fav actors and director unbelievable cast
Yesterday I saw this whole movie and what a splendid performance by the great legend Robert de Niro, although Leonardo DiCaprio has his moments, but the king is King, and the female lead galdido has also had done justice to her role. Great movie I think must watch
One of the most historically disturbing movies I've seen. It shook my soul.
Thank you for posting this, and helping us understanding this situation.
Leo and Lily better have room on their mantles for OSCAR. 🎉
and costumes, and director, and music, and cinematography and picture!
I need to watch this movie again.
Brilliant movie with great actors and a fantastic director. Had me glued to the screen the whole 3hrs +
It is a great story done by one of the greatest of all time, well done Martin Scorsese. This is one story of thousands and thousands of First Nations in North America, glad to see the real history of Turtle Island getting a chance to see the day of light.
Brilliant, watched it in IMAX
Great film
Wow 🎉❤Movie amazing Leornardo Dicaprio and Lilly Gladstone
I honestly love how every actor learned to speak Osage to make the movie come to life! Just shows why Martin Scorsese is a household name in film!
true movie and amazing acting
Loved this movie ❤️
Lily Gladstone stole the show!!!!!
Thank you ! Producer and ppl bhind movie and actors for making movie telling the truth of Osage ppl. Thank you
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great Movie
My best watch movie...
9/10 ❤❤🎉
😊😊😊
This is a great movie although I didn’t go to the cinema to watch it. I purchased it on Prime Video.
This movie is great
Who likes this movie very much 👉
This is cinema
we saw this, I didn't realized its a true story. I heard they cost $200 million to make this movie and it's a really good film. Once again $200 million! Possibly will get awards from Golden Globe and oscars. I recommend taking a quick short break after 1 hour to pause if needed, prepare to bring snacks, drinks and comfortable to sit because it is a very long hours! we only took 10 mins break cuz I need to stretch my legs and took a quick leak! We did enjoy this film, everyone says all the actors and Lily Gladstone is a hidden gem, well done. Anyways, it's good movie!
I think Leo deserves an Oscar
gonna sweep the oscars... it's not just a movie
Bravo Scorsese che ha il coraggio di raccontare la verità!❤
Apresentação engasga o tempo todo. Não dá para assisitir assim.
Over time, Scorsese has been a sort of teacher, who was able to enhance DiCaprio's talent in his movies, meanwhile De Niro is like a father figure, who raised Leo when he was starting as an actor in the film industry.
I’m still trying to wrap my brain around the $200 million dollar price tag. There are no large expensive production scenes, it was filmed within a five mile radius in Oklahoma, then the rest is dialogue, I’m dump founded at the $200 million price tag ?
Set design and cast & crew fees would be a big chunk
Di Caprio and De Niro. I believe Di Caprio alone got 40 mil for this.
Ha❤❤😂😂
Just saw it and really enjoyed it, especially love a film focused on the rape and murder of a tribe for profit. I feel like America seems sensitive to racism against black people (whilst simultaneously also not so) but seems to almost entirely forget about the original nation peoples.
The fact Thanksgiving is still celebrated is a kick in the teeth, but seeing a AAA movie released about the injustice the colonists have brought against the natives is so important.
This is a “smaller” scale example, but it speaks to a far wider issue.
"I love the money as much as I love my wife " :(((((
Three hours passed in the blink of an eye.
Bro stop flashing the name of the channel every 5 seconds 😭 we get it we will subscribe and put on notifications just stop!
This is fascinating but please fix your video and reupload it, it's impossible to watch with all the glitches. Thank you.
What exactly do you mean by glitches? 😳
@@STREAMWARSI'm guessing they mean all the quick flashes of your channel logo throughout the video. Distracting and unpleasant.
You can probably only tell if an actor is playing well if the scene lasts longer than a minute between cuts
So they go for Downey Jr. instead of De Niro at the Oscars? And Emma, instead of Lily?
почему съёмочная группа в масках?
Filmed during Covid scare
Disturbing, Marty is brave director to tackle this, movie looks stunning
oskar winner
Lily Gladstone is a Stepmom
Lily..can't..not..look at her ..
the watermark is unsubtle and epilepsy inducing
Scorsese should make a movie of this scale about Israel atrocities, before he dies.
Its was good, but it lacked politics, it was just killings.
After watching the movie who wants to join the Mason's and why? Please tell the truth and be honest ?
you botched this edit with your logo flashing in it, 0/10
Decolonize Earth
Important movie but nothing else. Good but not very good. Just not the one you would go back to. Lacking logic sometimes and naive but generally well played and executed. 7/10.
What an ignorant comment..
i Don't like a masks behind off the Movie Script History People who will try a made a movie )
walked out about 2 hours in, so boring
The film was restructured from the book, which was a whodunit / mystery. So the only mystery left in the movie is why Lily stuck with this bastard the entire time - and we never get an explanation.
...onward to the oscars...propaganda and oscars. Worthy goals ?? You be the judge...
Your perception of "zero enthusiasm" is more likely a lack of awareness of the quiet dignity held by most Native Americans, regardless of circumstance. Americans are so used to intense drama and overly emotional behavior (both in acting and real life) that stoicism and dignity goes right over your head.
I'm gonna stop watching this video because of these fucking annoying stream wars flashes
I feel io wasted my time watching this boring film.... no real emotions, flat... an other braindead american blockbuster ...
No real emotions are you slow ? The wife showed emotion and Leo showed emotion majority of characters showed emotion. Apparently your completely blind when it came to this movie
Still using Covid19 masks on set?? What an eggs pain!!!!
The best part is Lily Gladstone. Oh wait, she's the only good thing in the whole movie.
Lily Gladstone can not act to save her life. In every scene you could clearly notice that she has zero acting ability and she delivered her dialogue with zero enthusiasm. But she will be handed every award this season because of affirmative action/diversity/political correctness. So that liberal Hollywood can get a pat on the back from the native/indigenous/aboriginal people of America. Great, congratulations Ms Gladstone for an academy award that deep down inside you know you do not deserve.
Another affirmative action awards season. Giving trophies to people who do not deserve any recognition and can not act worth beans, like Lily Gladstone. Did we not learn anything from the Claudine Gay/Harvard scandal? Stop giving things to people who did not earn it! Stop this affirmative action/diversity/political correctness!
Very disappointed. It was another Leonardo DCaprio movie . The story was lost through this supposedly love for Molly . The Osage people deserved a better content through their eyes .
The movie actually belongs to Lily Gladstone. She gave the best performance in the movie. DiCaprio was just along for the ride.
@@michaelmonthey5974Not true. I think everyone concerned put their best into it. It's hard to get inside the head of a culture you didn't grow up with. Whether the actors made the movie because they believe in the Indian culture and admire the people or because the admire Scorcese and want to be a part of his work or it's personal to the Osage I think everybody was as authentic in wanting to make this story heard.
Movie sucked
@@conormcqregor4393 Only a mentally ill person would say that.
It's right there in the title: KILLERS of the Flower Moon......it should be no surprise that Scorsese, an Italian New Yorker whose whole career is made up of exploring evil characters, made the film like this. I think it would have been pretty weird if it was just the First Nations perspective......that would make sense with an Osage director, but not someone like Scorsese. I think everything he did was respectful and appropriate.
Movie suckedddddd
Uh huh. And you probably missed the car chases and the flying superheros, too.
@@jamesevans9007 no I actually hate all of those movies.
It sound like your trying to think but nothing is happening?
