If a villager is singing on the plaza and you put a music player of some sort near them, they'll start singing whatever KK song is playing. This also works if they're playing instruments !
it does not only change key, it actually plays part of the melody or harmonies! If you're playing with friends and use different instruments at the same time, you can actually almost perform the song!
Yeah and another fact is that if you literally run into the ufo and by that I mean literally RUN into it the alien from the tv comes down and it’s kinda weird ik this has nothing to do with that but is a fact and if your on this video then you probably want facts🙂
My favourite little detail: The footprints of all villagers and yourself are different in the sand. You are the only one with human footprints and all the animals have their own footprints depending on animal type.
also, leif does reactions a little bit longer because he’s a sloth and sloths are slow i’m not sure if this is the case but i’ve done many reactions and he always does it for longer but it’s a fun little detail!
honestly with each new console the joycon drift problem had just been getting worse. Like we started using our switch and literally a month after playing anch it's so bad we can't play smash bros anymore.
I like that whenever you're coming back to your island, the plane leaves a trail, and your villager would talk about it (Beau asked me if it was cotton candy made by the plane, and that he was hungry ahahah)
some other cool features: The footprints the villagers make in sand are also the same as what is printed on their feet, so toe bean prints get left on the sand! When the nooks cranny is about to close, they always play classical music inside
Couple interesting facts I have found: - the jungle gym that is available through nook miles has a functional seat in the front - for whatever reason the big fish island in mystery tours doesn’t seem to spawn finned fish even when it’s in season
Two things I noticed while playing: When its raining and you're near the Nookling's Store, you can hear the rain run off the roof And this relates to the shoes thing, but since my character wears Recycled Boots, I'm able to hear them squeak when walking/running

Villagers actually have species specific dialogue that you can see under specific conditions! During a full moon there's a chance wolf villagers will mention the need to howl, and in the rain there's a chance frog villagers will try to encourage you to go into the rain without an umbrella or coat! I haven't seen all the dialogue yet, but the ones for frogs are easiest to see :)
I love how the bugs behave in the museum according to their active hours. e.g. the mantises will do their jump animation, if you approach them, during their active hours but will remain still when it's nighttime/early morning
My favorite is that at night, at the big tree, the palm tree beetles and some other ones fight It’s only two that are fighting, the rest are surrounding them and I think getting the sap of the tree

You can get certain villagers to have their heads clip through walls in Photopia while seated. I suggest horses and alligators, although I'd imagine anteaters to be particularly good as well.
I was just sitting by my fountain until another hour passed, which caused the bell to ring. As the bell rung, the fountain started producing more water than before and made an even bigger fountain. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but you should try it out!
Another small detail I love is that of anyone flew to or from your island recently, you can see contrails (or vapour trails) in the sky that fade away over time.
Another detail is that if you stand in certain spots in the museum, the camera will pan to give you a better view. The best place to see this is by standing on the blue dots in the main fossil room.
There also is a staircase in the upgraded nook's cranny and doors next to the diving equipment in the fish part of the museum. Further nook's cranny upgrades and deep-sea diving coming soon??
Another little detail I noticed is at night when the lights are on in side of shops moths try to get in and crash into the door just like in real life.
I love the sound she shoes make, I had custom pathing but missed the sound so much I went back to the original paths :D Another detail I like, is that we can close blinds on windows for some wallpaperts, when I accidently did that it made me so very happy
If you catch lots of the big tree bugs, like the Atlas Beetle, they have "fights" on the same tree as the spider in the museum. There even is an "audience" of other bugs that encircles them.
In the "coffee cup" area of the museum featured in #1, go left so you are standing by the Mole Cricket display and use camera mode to look high up and left on the wall, you'll see a bug hiding there. It changes depending on the time of day. Like #24, villagers will applaud you if you craft something on a workbench when they are near you. In my experience, frog villagers will still wear raincoats but will never use an umbrella. This includes Ribbot, who I assume is made of a non-rusting metal. (Ribbot once spoke to me about changing his hairstyle, I didn't say anything) However, this doesn't apply to Octopus villagers who will still use an umbrella. Talking of frogs and octopus villagers, because they are also fishable creatures you can gift them their own species, they don't seem to mind. (Jambette once requested a frog from me) The window effect mentioned in #19 applies to all windows, including the ones in your own house. The effect is pretty impressive. Actually, the one thing that really blew me away on this game is the way weather is handled - most games will simply immediately make rain fall, in New Horizons you can see rain-clouds roll in an hour or so before, then it will start very lightly raining and build into a full downpour, before easing off again. It's possible for the sun to come out before the rain has fully stopped which can cause a rainbow. The clouds you see in the sky are also accurate to the weather.
What I always found weird was that if you are getting items like woods or stones to make Nook’s Cranny, if you give items like wood or stones to the Nooks for free, it’ll go towards the Nooks Cranny donations but if you sell them the item like wood or stones, it WON’T go to the donations.
Another easter egg: If you happen to walk into Resident Services when Tom and Isabelle are doing yoga, you can hear a slight jingle of Isabelles bell jingling when she bends down. Or when shes running towards you.
APPERENTLY....If you find ankha in the fossil section of the museum...you can catch her calling the fossils certain names as if they were pets of hers.
The display window for Able Sisters will change daily, always showing an item that is in stock for that day. Much like how rain waters your flowers for you, so does snow. The loading screen for starting your game will change depending on season, and the loading screen for visiting islands changes depending on the colour of your island's plane, as mine shows a green plane, the same as my island's plane, and a friend's shows a red plane. For #22, it only applies to the white drink machine, I have the black drink machine, and it has different drinks in it, so the different colour drink and snack machines actually have different contents.
A detail that i hope is added in a future update is- when its raining, i know we already have rain on windows, but it would be nice to see your character and animals get wet when they don’t wear raincoats, hats, etc. and when they put raincoats on, the water goes away. Also, when they get wet, it would be cool to add the tremble/shiver emote to the player/animal to show that they’re cold from the rain. Just a suggestion!
one detail i noticed is; i have sprocket in my village, when kk was performing a bit back & everyone sat up, instead of a soft sound, he sounded more like metal scraping against wood as he stood up
Idk if this is actually a secret or if I just didn't notice it until recently, but the different species leave different footprints in the sand which I think is super cool
OMG, I hadn't noticed Nat on the board or that the ants are marching towards the cup. I had the flies before the ants and they are blocking the view. I knew a lot of those (the sound of kimono sandals on stone is so satisfying) but the fan blowing detail is incredible.

For the elephant watering cans you can actually use customisation kits to change it. You don’t actually need to go to different island

I also love that different animals will make different footprints in the sand and dirt according to what type of feet they have 🥰
If you catch lots of the big tree bugs, like the Atlas Beetle, they have "fights" on the same tree as the spider in the museum. There even is an "audience" of other bugs that encircles them.
In the "coffee cup" area of the museum featured in #1, go left so you are standing by the Mole Cricket display and use camera mode to look high up and left on the wall, you'll see a bug hiding there. It changes depending on the time of day.
Like #24, villagers will applaud you if you craft something on a workbench when they are near you.
In my experience, frog villagers will still wear raincoats but will never use an umbrella. This includes Ribbot, who I assume is made of a non-rusting metal. (Ribbot once spoke to me about changing his hairstyle, I didn't say anything) However, this doesn't apply to Octopus villagers who will still use an umbrella.
Talking of frogs and octopus villagers, because they are also fishable creatures you can gift them their own species, they don't seem to mind. (Jambette once requested a frog from me)
The window effect mentioned in #19 applies to all windows, including the ones in your own house. The effect is pretty impressive. Actually, the one thing that really blew me away on this game is the way weather is handled - most games will simply immediately make rain fall, in New Horizons you can see rain-clouds roll in an hour or so before, then it will start very lightly raining and build into a full downpour, before easing off again. It's possible for the sun to come out before the rain has fully stopped which can cause a rainbow. The clouds you see in the sky are also accurate to the weather.
What I always found weird was that if you are getting items like woods or stones to make Nook’s Cranny, if you give items like wood or stones to the Nooks for free, it’ll go towards the Nooks Cranny donations but if you sell them the item like wood or stones, it WON’T go to the donations.
Another easter egg: If you happen to walk into Resident Services when Tom and Isabelle are doing yoga, you can hear a slight jingle of Isabelles bell jingling when she bends down. Or when shes running towards you.
APPERENTLY....If you find ankha in the fossil section of the museum...you can catch her calling the fossils certain names as if they were pets of hers.
The display window for Able Sisters will change daily, always showing an item that is in stock for that day.
Much like how rain waters your flowers for you, so does snow.
The loading screen for starting your game will change depending on season, and the loading screen for visiting islands changes depending on the colour of your island's plane, as mine shows a green plane, the same as my island's plane, and a friend's shows a red plane.
For #22, it only applies to the white drink machine, I have the black drink machine, and it has different drinks in it, so the different colour drink and snack machines actually have different contents.
One detail I love is when walking on sandy beach in the rain the foot prints causes soupy like sand. I think it's the same on the dirt (muddy).

A detail that i hope is added in a future update is- when its raining, i know we already have rain on windows, but it would be nice to see your character and animals get wet when they don’t wear raincoats, hats, etc. and when they put raincoats on, the water goes away. Also, when they get wet, it would be cool to add the tremble/shiver emote to the player/animal to show that they’re cold from the rain. Just a suggestion!
one detail i noticed is; i have sprocket in my village, when kk was performing a bit back & everyone sat up, instead of a soft sound, he sounded more like metal scraping against wood as he stood up
Idk if this is actually a secret or if I just didn't notice it until recently, but the different species leave different footprints in the sand which I think is super cool
OMG, I hadn't noticed Nat on the board or that the ants are marching towards the cup. I had the flies before the ants and they are blocking the view. I knew a lot of those (the sound of kimono sandals on stone is so satisfying) but the fan blowing detail is incredible.
