Kaya looks really good in her original outfits….maybe you would like her more if she was dressed traditionally? I had to rebraid the hair on mine and she turned out great. I am in Canada and I have a Josephina I am selling. Bought her and didn’t realize I already had one that was still in the pile to clean up…oops
Saige could easily be made into a historical doll. The center part and hair length allows her to go with any historical period. Just dress her in historical clothes.
@@lisbetsoda4874 I like Chrissa too. Have her as well. Josefina is my favorite head mold, so I generally like Josefina mold dolls. I am aware that Saige isn't a Josefina mold, but I love my Saige doll too.
Honestly, I'm glad I never got into collecting Rainbow High. It's not that I don't think the majority of them are really pretty, but there's just so darn gosh many of them, and they're kind of expensive, it adds up so quickly. I just have the two I found at thrift stores. American Girl - there are quite a few I bought and then ended up letting go of. Either I just never connected with them, or they were not in the best shape. I think your Kaya has the cutest face, BTW. I really want to find one with a cute face like hers. I think your Willa is cute with the short hair, but maybe you'll find another someday without the haircut.
I’m bad at explaining things but I have winter break poppy and her hair was horrendous so I decided to fix it I have never used heat on my dolls hair but after this her hair had the same curls she was intended to have 1.wash her hair with COLD water and dish soap(don’t take out her ponytails) 2.once the gel has gone out of her hair and you can run a comb through it put conditioner in and wash out her hair 3.twist all the hair in a ponytail around your fingers towards her head and squish the curl to get the water out of her hair (repeat on other side) 4. Repeat 3 a few times till her hair is visibly curly or how you want it to look 5. Put her on her stand to dry DONT BRUSH HER HAIR AFTER
If you want to like keep the curls then you could like grab a bowl of warm water and then put the hair in it and like start moving it around don’t use hot or cold water because none of those are gonna work

I love rainbow high and have the 35th anniversary Samantha, Molly, and Kirsten, a dream come true to a 12-year-old girl 35 years later. Love seeing what's available nowadays and shopping dolls on a budget for my 7-year old niece. Thanks for making high quality videos full of thought and beautiful dolls.
Regarding shipping Josefina from the American Girl store in the US, there is free shipping with $150 US total. That's not hard to hit if you buy a doll. The dolls are usually $160 CAD vs $140 CAD at Indigo, but it may be something to keep in mind if they have another 20% off sale. I am new to collecting AG, so I don't know if the sale is only around Black Friday, or if they offer it in the spring too.
I like this video, I find it very interesting. I’ve been a collector for quite a couple years, and I have to say that I have a weird obsession of buying new stuff only, I believe it’s due to the fact that when I was a child I used to love the smell of the toys I was gifted by my parents 🥰. I might regret buying some dolls, but not selling any of them, I tend to give them away whenever I don’t want something. All my collection have a special place in my heart 🥰.
I regret buying Truly Me #89 and #91. They are really cute dolls. But, I am tiring of colors in doll hair. I do have Corrine. But she’s very pretty. I go back and forth with my least favorites. These 2 dolls are harder to dress. The more dolls I have. The more get ignored. I don’t plan on selling anything, though.
@Kit.Kirsten1854 the male AG dolls don't show there teeth because they all use Kayas face mold. That's one thing I dislike about AG dolls, too many reused face molds. They all start looking the same.
Yes. I collect only AG dolls and don't have many that I regret. But... I do regret buying Kanani, Kailey and Courtney. Kanani is not very versatile, and I don't love her. Kailey lacks personality and Courtney has difficult hair to keep, and I honestly don't care for her collection. She is just in a box. Will probably sell her. I also kind of regret buying Felicity and Elizabeth. I don't like them for their long gowns. I prefer the historical dolls that wear shorter outfits. If I am perfectly honest, I also regret Cecile and Mary Grace. I haven't really been able to bond with them, either.

Kaya for me personally is on my wishlist. The main reason is because she is one of the only if not THE only AG doll that is not smiling.

So Kaya doesn't have the AG teeth? Is she the only doll without the 2 front teeth showing?
Yes. In Kaya's culture showing your teeth is a sign of aggression, so they sculpted her mouth shut. The male AG dolls also don't show their teeth.
