Great tips! I wish I told my younger self this when I got a retired doll on eBay for $80 which I thought was a great deal. But, of course the doll came with a dark ink stain on here cheek which I have tried several ways but won’t come off! The seller called it an “unnoticeable mark” with a “light grey” color! 😅I still wish I returned it.
As someone who strictly buys doll stuff used, i appreciate this! You had some great tips and I hope people utilize this way of shopping for doll stuff more often
Great tips, Sophia! I've been buying and selling on eBay since 2003 and I completely agree with everything you said. Really good review of everything. I haven't seen the video about the fakes, so I saved that and will watch it later today. Thanks for the heads up!
If you do buy a used doll on Ebay and when she arrives there are flaws (bald spots, stains, chew marks, etc) and are NOT disclosed on the photos or description you usually sometimes can return on seller's expense even if it says no returns. It is a process though. Good advice Sophia always check reviews and always try to leave a review. I bought an Addy and the doll and accessories were way beyond sellers description so I gave seller an way beyond excellent review. When in doubt...don't buy!
Excellent tips! Especially the one about not getting caught up in bidding. The best strategy is to use a bidding sniper that will automatically place your bid in the last few seconds. That way you set your budget ahead of time, pick the max you are willing to pay, and you don't drive up the price by bidding against people who are determined to outbid you.
I do that all the time! When I see a doll I want, I use the Gixen sniper and put in my max budget I would be willing to pay for that doll. The advantage of Gixen is that other people don’t know you’re also interested in the doll, that way you don’t start a bidding war. And sniping ensures they don’t have time to put in a higher bid before the end. I just won a Saige Copeland doll in excellent condition with her meet outfit and a whole bunch of extra AG branded clothes for $30. I can’t wait to get her next week 😅🥰
such a great video, I’ve had a similar video on my to film list for a while now and you basically summed up my points, if i ever get to filming that video i’ll definitely shoutout this video even though this isn’t where the inspiration cake from 🤣 glad i found your channel though, just subscribed! 💖
Thanks for the info. I will be buying my first and only AG doll this week at the AG store. What I mostly will be using eBay for is clothing that is no longer available at the stores.
eBay and others are flooded with common ag stuff, and too many resellers spend 24-7 refreshing buy it now to try getting rare cheap to resell. So it’s pretty hopeless.
Lots2see did a few videos unboxing those factory overstock packages if you want more information
I’ve never purchased from eBay so this video was very helpful

I don't like the bidding listings for Pleasant Company/American Girl items. This was a great video.

I’ve gotten plenty of amazing deals on eBay. But I’m a relatively new AG collector. I’m focused on outfits from the Noughties, they’re my favorites.
Thank you for all your tips
Thank you!
