Awesome review! It was a tough decision in the beginning, and I hate the fact that the G7x ll doesn't have an external mic input (like I really find this to be annoying), however, I went with the G7x II mainly because of its aesthetics and compactness (as I'll be travelling alot with it), and I like the way it shoots in low light areas. Just wanted to mention - I came across a couple of complaints on the G7x ll and how it picks up alot of wind noise when you're recording outdoors. A quick resolution is to put a "micromuff" on the camera. It significantly reduces wind noise.

I am so confused about my choice: I was going for the g7x mark3 then saw all the bad autofocus reviews so now I am stuck between the m50 and the mark 2.....mainly our content is vlogging and not in studio recording so I think the mark 2 is more than enough....only downside is the external microphone
I'm on the market for a camera. Right now, we're using an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and I feel we could do so much more. If anyone competent (or with the experience of switching from iPhone to M50) could come and give us their input of the different we could get from switching to a real camera, that would be aaaawesome !!

the g7x mark 2 has better stabilization, and is better in low light if the m50 is being used with the kit lens. i dont have any of them but those are the two most important thing to me. you glossed over them. it seems you focused on trying to convince people the m50 is better, and in most instances sure its better, like autofocus and mic input. but in other instances like stabilization and bad kit lens. its not good.
I'm considering purchasing one of the two for when my channel grows more. I plan to use it for both inside/outside vlogging and sit down videos (+ Instagram). I would love to hear what you did not like about the g7x and what your content is that it didn't work for. Currently I am leaning towards the m50 even though it's bulkier

哲术 I use the g7xii mostly for vlogging and light photography since it's just easier to carry when traveling or going out. I use the m50 for indoor filming and also product and portrait photography. But I'd probably start with the g7xii as it takes care of most of my needs.

One solution could be to get the point and shoot first - use it for 6 months to a year and then sell it on eBay and put the funds towards an M50 later on ? Just a thought (:

I just got the Miii and am disappointed with the focus, was considering dropping to the mII. The size advantage is good, but it seems that the M50 has all the bells and whistles!
I love the Mii for the compactness and the pretty decent video quality - mine is falling apart though from over use - I’m looking to see if we get an improved miii because I do love that point and shoot design and ease of use! The M50 is a great little can too I’ve been impressed with what it offers in terms of photos and video!
I think with the more modern features and the option to go beyond vlogging I would have to agree. I'm keen to see how the G7XMarkiii would compare - for the massive price tag I'm expecting big things (: We have to do our review video soon bro - want to get my hands back on that 6D Mark II ;-)

The M50 mentioned in this video is about $600 with a lens and it has 4K that is Ok-ish that you could probably vlog with. Need to know more about how much cash you are willing to part with 🧐

Great question samridhi. Both cameras would do a good job at this. However if you want your overall video production to be good, the M50 will allow you to add a microphone to your set up. And if you get a viltrox speedbooster and a 50mm 1.8 lens you will have some amazing bokeh to give you that light bright picture that a lot of makeup youtubers have in their videos.
Oh - if I only could choose one ☝️🧐🧐🧐 that’s a tough call. I think I’ve used my G7xmarkii to near death over the years. But haven’t been out vlogging for a while (for obvious reasons) so it’s not being used at all atm. I’m still using the M50 heavily for live streaming - also I think the M50 allows me to do more for creative filmmaking - so based on what I know now on the ability to grow with the M50 id have to choose the M50. 👍
If you want to vlog casually, out and about, it is great - it’s small, convenient to use, has great picture and has a good battery life - if you want something that is a bit more polished for your productions has a slightly better picture and something you can attach a microphone to - then the M50 is a good choice - good for home studio sitting down style videos 👍 so if you’re going to be out more and want okay-ish sound get a g7xii - if you’re vlogging from home and want a polished studio look get an m50 and a rode mic. Hope that helps ☺️

Yes unfortunately the Mark ii doesn’t have a mic input. Sound at the beach? Might be a lot of wind? Generally I’ve found the sound ok for casual vlogging - and have used a fair amount of G7xmarkii footage in my YT videos over the years 👌
@@KaiCreative Have you ever tried the Sony ZV1? I was thinking about getting that instead of the Canon g7x since it has a mic. Because I heard the g7x Mark 3 got bad reviews.
I just got Miii today, I checked the firmware they did updated from factory. It's pretty cool on focusing. But a bit disappointed on screen. It feel insecure and looks loose when I put it back in place. I'm thinking to put the glue on like you mentioned. Should I take screws off or just put glue on top? Thanks 🙏🏻🥰

Hi Anna - I don’t believe any of these are waterproof / and not water sealed either so would not recommend taking them out in the rain ☔️
So many comparisons for Canon G7x MKII means this compact camera is great. Im considering the third version but AF issues hold me.

I love my m50... and the audio quality also outside because I can put a microphone, now im planning to get either g7x Mark ii or go pro 8, the reason why because i often stay home but also doing vlog outside like when I went grocery or something, want more smaller and easy to take outside kind of camera, m50 is little bit bigger for me with microphone. What do you think is better to get? GoPro 8 or g7x ii?

Yes unfortunately the Mark ii doesn’t have a mic input. Sound at the beach? Might be a lot of wind? Generally I’ve found the sound ok for casual vlogging - and have used a fair amount of G7xmarkii footage in my YT videos over the years 👌
@@KaiCreative Have you ever tried the Sony ZV1? I was thinking about getting that instead of the Canon g7x since it has a mic. Because I heard the g7x Mark 3 got bad reviews.

I just got Miii today, I checked the firmware they did updated from factory. It's pretty cool on focusing. But a bit disappointed on screen. It feel insecure and looks loose when I put it back in place. I'm thinking to put the glue on like you mentioned. Should I take screws off or just put glue on top? Thanks 🙏🏻🥰

Did I miss something? The M6 II has been announced and the G7XIII has been out a while. Did you specify why your review is a version back on both?
I'm looking forward to getting my hands on both the M6II and the G7xMark III - unfortunately I haven't been able to get ahold of the them, when I finally do I'll be working on a few review videos. (:

True. I owned one. Sent it back. But before I buy a replacement, I am waiting to see if Canon fixes the mark III. If they do, it is the best pocket camera on the market.
