I think for my purposes, as a newbie hobbiest and positing the occasional RUclips video, I won’t need a mic. This was such a good video and gave a lot of great insight into this camera. Can’t wait to get it!!
Was going between the Canon EOS rebel t7i and this one and I went for this one. It's small and I just love how the screen flips up , and it's a great camera and video recorder I feel like. The fact that is compact for travels. Idk just ordered it and I'm super super excited;
I found this video helpful. I am a new content creator, initially i was a bit disappointed with the size but overall I am happy with the camera. I had outgrown my phone and was feeling that it was holding me back. Great review.
Great job man! I thought the sound test was pretty good outside, what I saw somebody else do to improve theirs was buy a very small fur wind strip and he even went paragliding with it with GREAT audio! Maybe that helps!

Just cam across this video. I purchased this camera new before I went to France in 2019. It takes amazing pictures!! Even at large magnification the color and detail are superb!

Thank you for the review. It's November 2023 and the cheapest price that I have found for a NEW one is $630.00. I wish it was $500.00 like you're talking about. I would have thought that prices would get cheaper on electronics as time goes on.

Great review my friend very well presented,I did have the canon G7x Mark ll sold it and regretted it very much. So I was in two minds to get the 2 or the 3,in the end I ended up buying the Mark 2 ,the reason why I went back to the Mark 2,is because,I here that the auto focus is still much better,than the Mark 3 ,even though the Mark 3 has had been updated ,with the firmware. Im canon g7x mark2 owner. Been using it for 6 month.. .. no.. AF is slow not that quick. What i like about it... Is the stabilizer is the way better than most camera out there..
Loved this review. I've been using my Canon T6 for portraits and creating video content, but the setup is becoming too much for video content, especially when the video itself would be short (I hook up my camera to my laptop to be able to see myself and make sure I'm in focus) and I just want a compact camera that has a flipscreen to minimize the setup. So, brb I'm going to purchase this

Hi there. So I bought this camera and started recording a video only for the camera to stop recording after 25 minutes... How is this a vlogging camera if you can only record videos up to 30 minutes long? Or is there a setting I am missing? Also, during the video, there is this weird crackling sound in the background. Could it be the autofocus, or is that a malfunction? It comes and goes during the video. Can you please help me with those? Thanks

The mic is pretty bad on this camera, it just sounds so muffled. Not sure if it's just mine, but I was completely heartbroken when I found out it had no external mic input and I bought the new Rode

For video, like a typical home video recording, what frame per second should I use for this camera? I'm not looking for super fancy work, just something simple for this question. As for slow mo, what fps should be used? Will it automatically be in slowmo when changed to that fps or is there another setting that the camera must be set in?

It will depend on how much data you want to store at a time. I would say 128gb card is a good start and hold enough for a while. Make sure to keep at least 3 copies of your data. Yes a ring light and tripod off Amazon will likely work fine for you. There's a 42" selfie stick tripod that's awesome I think. Does about everything one typically needs. Selfie stick with Bluetooth button, up to 42" tripod for setup in lots of conditions. It has the 1/4" tripod top for attaching a cam or phone mount to it. They're like $15 on Amazon
Wait. How do you set the lens to do different things like zoom and focus? Mine just does apature. Tip: for the record button, I just feel the grip right above and move my finger down. Easy done. :) I think the worst thing about this camera (besides the battery) is the Audio. The main reason I got this camera is actually for it's lowlight video.

I have a canon T6 and I can’t get videos to my iPhone. I have the canon EOS app which works for photos but for videos it says it doesn’t support it

The main reason I got this camera is actually for it's lowlight video.
