Martin Buttrich and Guti dropped it the LAb LA as part of Buttrich's #9414 20 Year Celebration Tour.
Martin Buttrich has been on the scene for twenty years and his slick production skills have earned him Grammy nominations and massive respect among the heavyweights of dance music. The Barcelona native has embarked on a two-month global tour to celebrate his twenty years in the business, and has also announced a forthcoming record label and a collaboration album due out in 2015. The #9414 20 Years Tour also features a series of huge guests including The Martinez Brothers, Pete Tong, Lee Burridge and Guti.
The Argentinian-born producer Guti found his way into house music via his classically-trained upbringing, a wild South American rock band and by 2010 his career in dance music had firmly taken off. He has releases on a number of notable imprints including Wolf + Lamb, Crosstown Rebels and Supplement Facts, and earlier this year he launched his own label called Rompecorazones Music and his release of the same name was distributed British house slingers Defected Records.

- genres are (state of the art) minimal techno & tech house
- it definitely IS a liveset - both individuals are using Ableton Live on seperate laptops - real-time track selection & programming - EQing & filters being applied within the DAWs and on the Xone 92
in fact, you can actually hear minor crashing (tracks not completely lined up) @ around 17:00
incidentally, lining up tracks battle-style with two laptops running ableton live is INFINITELY more difficult than doing so on CDJ's...

+David Craver that's why the Abelton guys cared about in their newest Live version. You can link as many seperate computers, iPads and other controllers for live performances

***** nobody said they were DJing - these are two producers playing live using Ableton on laptops with FX units, samplers etc. And vast majority of DJs use CDJs to play these days, just because that's your choice doesn't mean you are not a DJ.

this is called live set..its live you can't do it just simple with cdjs or turntables so stop bitching

LOL!! Welcome to the age of Controllers... Martin is known though for his live, on the fly use of his samples and building tracks on the go. So those controllers do come in handy ;)
