Colin, great teacher. He taught a rifle class I took at Sig. I will definitely be using this drill.

    So which grip worked best?

Eh I don’t know what 80-20 or 60-40 etc is. I grip tight. Tight enough that the gun stays perfectly inline but also not too tight that my hands are shaking and getting fatigued. I also work on grip strength exercises. Tighter grip less movement. Also since ammo is rare rn grab a sert pistol and just run drills in the home. I’ve also seen guys use co2 airsoft pistols as a way to simulate recoil or at least slide cycling since you can’t get that with a sert gun.

I'm going to try this. I thi k actual feedback from your own analysis, on that target, in This video would be helpful. Thanks for the ideas on testing grip.

Ed Thorell says 70% off hand 30% trigger hand. Reason for being is to isolate your dominant hand to allow more focus with trigger control. Works for me

I see people do an empty chamber check, look away, and then do it again, as he does here at 3:56. What study/experience is that based off of and/or what is the rationale?

If you think it's worth double-checking, you have to look away and reset your brain or you're not really double-checking.

An explanation would’ve been nice? So what did you get out of this drill or learn about your grip?

When you say white knuckle grip, is that both hands? One hand? On the splits, it's that 80 dominant 20 support or vice versa?

Cool idea and actually a video on grip that isn’t bias. 👍

Good instruction. However, I think it's interesting that the target being analyzed at the end is not the target he was shooting in the video. The groups in the analyzed target are much tighter. Go back and compare the two.
