Best ham youtube channel. thanks for all you do!!!!
Thank You for the kind words!! Means a lot.
On an All-Star link 3 install, I have EchoLink up and running but when I connect to an EchoLink node, I do not get the call sign listed on my allmon page. I get "No info [EchoLink 9999] (No info)". Running the echolink dbdump command it shows the database is populated. I'm assuming I have something set wrong somewhere. Any suggestions on where to look??
Thank you how a make a link to use in my area.
Hi can you do DV Switch/aLLSCAN for me using WNSCP ? also on Echolink its not making my Node TX it receives echolink Fine
I would Love to help. Drop me a message at kd5fmu@gmail.com and we will discuss it.
cool courtesy tone that your allstar did after you kerchunked your node and before it read the numbers you dialed on the playing file path line how did you get that on your node? interested in doing the same on mine where i hate the default courtesy tone that i have now use to have that off but i just turned it back on where i upgraded my linked station adding a 40W BTech amp to an antenna switch going to my main antenna so that way when i'm not playing radio or HF i can switch to my amp port and turn into a link station and when i'm playing HF i can turn the amp off switch to my HF radio and switch back when i went QRT but cool tone have to get it on mine
Thanks Freddy for sharing so much information and for all you do. I made the necessary changes to my Allstar node and then to my router firewall settings and I still have a problem connecting to Echolink. Do you think I need to open up the same ports (5198-5199) in my "Windows defender firewall" just like I did in my router?
You shouldn't have to but you can try that. Change your port forwarding in your router to BOTH instead of just TCP or UDP also forward port 5200 for good measure
Also make sure your callsign in the echolink.conf file is in all capitals
@@HamRadioCrusader Thanks Freddy for your fast response, I just double check the settings, they are all good, just like in your vd. My node does connect to the Echolink L but there's no audio on my end or their end. I'll try the windows defender settings, I will update with results, Thanks again.
@@HamRadioCrusader A little late but, here I am. It turns out I had the ports on my router open to be used on a different device and NOT my Pi4, it's all good now. Thank you.
@@utubefeltf55 Glad to hear it !! Thanks You for the Update

This video is for Supermon2 I don’t use Allmon
I have a Shari node and they set it all up for me but I have no idea what to do next to be able to actually use it. I want to be able to use EchoLink with it. I’m so lost haha.
Who set it up for you? Maybe I can communicate with them to find out what your settings are and have you test it with a radio.
@@HamRadioCrusader it’s the kits4hams guys. They told me everything was set up and I have the print out they sent with the node of what’s been programmed. They said I’d need the ip address if I wanted to change it to use WiFi instead of Ethernet cable. There’s an online document explaining what to download, what settings to choose and program but I don’t know how to actually link Allstar/Echolink to the node
I have everything set up now thanks to your videos but now when I connect to an echolink node, it connects then automatically disconnects and I cant figure out why.
i keep getting connection failed.
Did you get it working Billy?
@@HamRadioCrusaderyes sir, Mr. Brain Kellison actually helped me out. I had it configured correctly, I just wasn’t fully understanding how the connection actually worked. Thanks
